On The Long Stretch [Catherine, Isamu]

It’d already been five hours into their trip to the shoreline, Catherine only taking the vehicle aside to a gas station as the tank had bottomed out. She’d been real cautious with driving, it was a borrowed car after all - Sean would not be happy if even a speck of paint was missing. Good man, horrid temper when it came to his stuff getting messed up; she’d promised to pay a full amount’s on it in his next paycheck if it got totaled, something she’d rather not but it was the only way to get a car that she didn’t have to rent nor one that’d crap out on her for such a long drive.

“Alright, you have a few minutes to stretch your legs and get.. Snacks, or whatever. I don’t know. Go piss or something.”

She’d tiredly spit the comment out; their trip was almost over, almost to her docked boat… Just one last stretch. Already, she had questioned if he really wanted to do this job.. But it wasn’t her place to tell him no.
