Promotion? (Rangiku/Erika)

Rangiku had been told to rest after Igen had finished healing her several hours ago now. Outside of some light walking she tried to not go against what Igen had told her. She had to wait on her ribs to finally be prepared. Well, turns out while she was doing that her previous devision was dissolved. She was now the acting vice captain of the first devision. Something that made her nervous, because she had to meet her new boss. At least for the time being.

With things the way they are in the seretei, Rangiku was aware that she needed to be at her best. That's why she took her healing seriously, but it was also why she was prepared to meet with her new captain. She knew that it would take a few days, and that she was going to miss Rose but this was the most important matter that needed to be solved. They had to do something quickly. Making her way to the captains office she knocked on the door a few times. If it were to be open she formally introduced herself quickly. As she wanted to be placed quickly, so that she could continue her part.

"Vice-Captain Matsumoto, reporting for her transfer."

"Ah, Matsumoto."

She had distant memories of the woman when she was in the Gotei Thirteen, it's not like she had interacted very much in the capacity of the Fifth vice-captain back then. However so, the fact she was still here after the century and more of time meant that she was reliable and tenacious to survive all those conflicts.

"Until the recovery of your captain and to aid in the losses of the first division from the initial attack, I have consolidated them for now."

Erika didn't ask permission or even how she felt about the decision. It was what she had said and that was that for her. With the initial wave of strife over it was the first moment of rest by sitting in this office that was more like a prison and making her see signs of the people that were close to her everywhere. The people that were gone or missing now. She didn't even kill the man that put her into this position.

"Yes, Captain commander."

Rangiku was practical. Now was not the time for her to get emotional about her squad being formed into squad one. They were the support squad after all, so regardless of the circumstances they would be doing something similar anyway. She took a breath before seeing what she needs to get started on. Keeping her professional tone she needed to ask.

"What are your first orders for me, Captain Commander?"

She spoke quickly as she didn't want to take anymore time than was needed from the captain. She knew that the woman was about to be very busy going forward, so she didn't want to do anything to interfere with what she has to get done.

First orders. What orders did she have? Once she had sat down she had allowed herself a moment of weakness and found herself ruminating on the situation she found herself in. Part of her wanted to put her head against this desk for a little bit, part of her wanted to put her head through this desk. However, her head was going to look up at Rangiku instead.

"As I've consolidated the two divisions, I do not know the shinigami that serve under you. That is where I require you to be able to utilise your seated officers and other shinigami to their strengths, as I am not capable of that."

She had no familiarity for them. So she needed to become familiar with them, and quickly.

"Please provide me a summary of the exceptional members of your division so that I can allocate them to effective tasks. There's still so much to be done."

Rangiku thought about the people in her division. Noharu is easily vice captain material, but could be rough around the edges time to time. She thought about Ranma, Koga, and Kyo as well. She wasn't sure who the woman wanted, but she would mention all of these. Koga has a desire to become better and be of use to the gotei. She thought about it, and decided on it.

"Noharu, she's easily vice captain material. If I wasn't vice captain already, she probably would be. Ranma, he's growing incredibly fast for someone so close to his time in the academy. Koga, he's been in for a long time, but i had a talk earlier today with him and he will do what's necessary for the gotei. I recommend combat for him though as he was previously squad 11 under Captain Zaraki."

She spoke of her picks. There were a few others who she may be able to name, but she wanted to keep this brief and spoke of the ones that came straight to her mind.

"Asahina was a former member of the fifth division to my understanding, she will be assigned to my third seat who was overseeing an investigation. I want the fourth division captain and acting sixth division captainj to be watched due to the circumstances of Shiba's death. There's no conclusive evidence but that doesn't mean I can't keep an eye on them. Kuchiki remains with the wounded and Hisakawa is on Earth so they are not immediately concerning"

Erika did not bother to pass on the details of that investigation. It wasn't a high priority right now but they had displayed investigative abilities. They were both former fifth division members that joined the eighth division when it formed after all, so they might get along.,

"As for the others, assign them as you think they would do best in the current situation. There is the matter of the nobility though, I can't say they were enthusiastic about the situation and I expect they'll try something in our current state."

Not much to really do about that just now, well, she had a few ideas if it came to it but why jump the gun.

"Yes mam."

She spoke as she thought about out what she could get the others to do. There was alot of stuff that either could do. Koga could be put somewhere to help with reconstruction and Ranma could go help squad 4. Especially since he is already close to the division so she was deciding on this.

"Anything else, Captain?"

She spoke quickly as she didn't want to keep Erica busy for too long. She needed to get out and begin to get to work as well. She already had ideas for what the rest of her seated officers would be able to do.
