Sakuya Müller | Heartseeker

Sakuya did not waste time upon returning from field training near Munich. Paperwork? Filed. Gear? Turned in. Beers? Grabbed. She carried the plastic crate of dark lager through the Vandenreich headquarters with childlike glee. One of the perks of organization-provided travel was relaxed transportation requirements. Fresh beer bought straight from the brewery? A pain in the ass to bring aboard commercial flights, but something that could be swept under the rug during a routine transportation flight!

Sakuya had heard about what happened in China while mid-flight. She was glad to hear that one of her coworkers was fine after the ordeal. It wasn't someone she was particularly close to, but that didn't matter much to Sakuya. It wasn't every day that their unit was deployed, so she decided to check in on her coworker to make sure everything was actually OK.

Sakuya found Stella in one of the recreation rooms. It was more like a glorified break room with a foosball table, a few comfortable chairs, and a couch among other pieces of furniture. "Stella!" She called out to her coworker and rushed to one one of the tables to set down the crate of beer. She grabbed two bottles and held them up. "You're, like, part-German too, right? Let's drink to... I don't know, a safe return for the both of us! I heard that you were attacked in China. You've got to tell me all about it! And what better way than over a nice, malty doppelbock straight from Munich~?" Sakuya's sing-song tone was really trying to sell Stella on the offer.

Stella found herself mindlessly scrolling through her phone after a long training session. She was wearing her hoodie that Solomon had ripped in one of their training fights. Her right shoulder was exposed through the torn hoodie as she just fully brain off resd through her phone. So, the high energy woman busting into the room exclaiming her name took her off guard. She felt her heart rate increase rapidly as she jumped a bit.

"U...uh I'm down to hang out. Though, have we met before?"

She asked genuinely as she wasn't sure how the other quincy would know her name. She watched her for a minute as she carefully thought about what happened. She had finally started to get over it, but these constant reminders were not making it easy on her to fully forget.

" if we have, I'm sorry i don't quite remember your name."

Sakuya didn't let the small twinge of pain of not being recognized show. Keeping her demeanor as chipper and energetic as when she entered, she slid one bottle over to Stella and popped the top of the other off barehanded. "Mmhmm! Well, I guess. Sorta. Not really? Like, we met during your orientation, kinda... I was there but I'm not anyone with a real rank, so I didn't speak." Sakuya raised the bottle and chugged a chunk of the beer down.

"I just remembered your name, figured you had some German in you, and, well..." Sakuya pointed the bottle at Stella. No energy was lost even though she lowered her voice. "Look, I may not be in command, but I try to get to know each of my Soldat mates. We're gonna have to have each others' backs, and the best way to get to know someone is by getting wasted together~!" As she began to raise the bottle again to drink in toast to her own proposition, she remembered something very important. She almost sputtered as she scrambled to answer. "Oh shit, right. Sakuya. Sakuya Müller, that's my name. You may not remember, but we're both part of the Spezialkräfte."

Stella listened to her as she tried to remember. She had met alot of new people as of late, so it was also little harder to focus on just one. She wasn't sure who the woman was at the moment. Singes of guilt shot through her mind as she tried to look for the name. She sighed as she listened to her. Perhaps drinking for once won't be a bad thing.

"Ah. Sorry that I can't recall your name right now. I'm absolutely down to drink with you though."

She spoke genuinely to her as she thought about what they were going to do. It has been quite awhile since she has been completely drunk. She kinda wanted to do so now. So hopefully she wouldn't be punished for this.

"It's nice to meet you again."

"Again, first time—same difference. Don't worry about it." Sakuya rested her elbows on the table and her chin on her empty hand. She was genuinely interested in knowing more about Stella. Her posture showed an open-ness being backed with an aggressive streak. "Before I get onto the heavy stuff, let's start off with the fun stuff."

"When I was growing up, I had a lot of girl-friends—friends who are girls, as I don't swing that way. I loved gossiping with them and hearing their dreams and what they liked." Sakuya took another drink of beer. Smiling, she verbally pounced at the first piece of information she loved hearing about. "What's your ideal type, and are you single?"

Stella wondered how this woman would feel if she knew that stella was seeing an arancar. Well she guessed she didn't have to go that far into it. In the past stella did find men attractive, but she just never found one that she connected with on that level. As she does, however, have a girlfriend. She can probably just leave the arancar fact out when she talks to other quincies. Only the people really close to her need to know something like that.

"Well, i like either or. I've just never found a guy that I connected with like that. I do have a girlfriend though, so I guess women mainly?"

She spoke a little awkwardly. She found it hard to admit that to another woman, and she never really had these types of conversations with people. It wasn't something that she grew up doing.

"I see, I see. Love is love, so you don't have to be awkward about that with me." Sakuya was all for consensual love—as long as both parties were capable of consenting legally, she saw no issues here. If anything, Stella liking women ended up being a bonus to Sakuya. Less competition in the long run. "You being in a relationship just means less competition for yours truly. So, like, if you and your gal get married, would it be two dresses, a dress and a tux, or two tuxes? Or would you be one of those quirky couples that do a half-dress-half-tux fit?" Sakuya's questions were off-the-wall, but the kind of thing that she used to get to know someone better. But more than that, it was about love. She had to hear more. She craved to hear tales of sweet romances more than just about anything. "Oh. How long have you two been seeing each other and how did you two meet?"

Stella thought about it. She truthfully had never seen her and Veralia as getting married. Well she never thought of herself as ever getting married anyway. Who would want to be around her all the time anyway? She was surprised that she managed to find anyone that enjoyed her company outside of her family. She didn't think that she was the most likeable person, but obviously there was some sort of charm there somewhere. Even if Stella didn't see it herself. Now that the topic was brought up, she for sure wanted to be in a dress. Her mother would probably have it no other way as well. She was sure that Carla and probably Natasha would both want to take her dress shopping. Maybe even Natsumi would want to tag along for something like that.

"Uh, she would probably wear a tux. I couldn't really see her wearing a dress. I could be wrong though....As for me I want to have a wedding dress. I haven't really ever thought of myself as getting married though."

She spoke openly with the other quincy. She was glad that she met another who was so friendly, and genuinely seemed interested in Stella's life. She had met a lot of friends recently who did care about her. She wasn't fully sure she deserved that with the recent events in her head. However, this conversation had completely removed those from her brain as she thought about a marriage between her and Veralia. Who would even show up to an arancar/quincy marriage?

"we met a few months ago. Got officially together like a few weeks ago? We met while I was still in Germany."

Sakuya moved her leg back and forth as she listened. She found Stella's short answer to be cute. It'd be difficult finding a wedding dress to accomodate her, ah, assets, but Stella would rock it. If she had chosen the tuxedo, the image of a button being sent flying across the room as it tried to contain—Well that wasn't going to happen! She had forgotten the main purpose as to why she was speaking with Stella and was again lost in romance-land.

"Oh you were in Germany? Please tell me you saw the cathedral in Cologne all lit up at night! When I was, like, eight or nine, my family drove through the city It was the middle of the night and I was asleep in the backseat of the van. I remember my mom shaking me awake and telling me to look out the window. My dad had slowed down so I could see the cathedral... I learned some swear words from a couple of impatient drivers that were yelling at him to speed up." Sakuya laughed at the nostalgia. There was a sadness to it—it was one of the many memories she had of her parents, but she never would have new memories with them.

"You got any pics of the two of you? You've got me, like, totally curious."

"Well my village is way out in the sticks, but of course I've seen the cathedral a few times."

She spoke as she recalled a few trips with her father. Her mother liked staying around the village for the most part. So Stella pretty much only got to go if her father was meeting someone about selling lumber to them. She enjoyed getting out of the village and seeing other places. Even if they weren't actually all that far away or anything. Seeing other villages was something stella enjoyed as well.

"Actually I think i have a few pictures. I don't take alot, but lemme check."

She quickly pulled her phone out and scrolled through until she was able to find a few. The ones she decided to choose was from a date they had went on. Stella was in a black dress. It was slightly alot more brazen that what she would usually be caught in, but she was with Veralia. Showing the other quincy with a bit of a blush on her face as she spoke.

"A little bit of an embarrassing dress, but it's a good picture."
