America, ya~
Rita had plenty of history with this corner of the globe, so smelling the hustle and bustle of New York certainly was refreshing to her. With the distant memory of Shadow Fall's reign still bubbling in her memories, seeing this city not plagued by that demonic pest always made her smile whenever she visited the city.
Having been brought to the heart of the city via limousine, she was sipping a cup of hot black coffee instead of her usual sugary treats. Rita knew of Akashic International and she knew that since they dealt with weapons suppliers and were a private military corporation, it was only a matter of time before the two cross the paths; so she was glad he reached out first. It was going to be an interesting meeting, so she wanted to be clear minded to focus and be in the present.
After arriving at Akashic International's towering headquarters, her security detail escorted her to the boardroom. Rita motioned for her men to stand down, preferring to enter the meeting alone. She took a deep breath, adjusted her posture, and, with a firm hand on the door, entered the room with a confident smile.
"Morning, Gideon"
As she spoke, her tone was smooth and relaxed.
"This has been a long time coming, hasn’t it?"
Her eyes gleamed with anticipation, fully aware of the weight this meeting could hold for both of them.

"Pleasure to be here~"
With a beaming smile, she nodded and shook his hand. Soon after, she took his lead and decided to sit down at the table and analyze some of the documents he had provided about Akashic International to understand better what she was getting herself into. Everything was looking up in terms of Akashic's data, connections, and contracts.
So, as she took a sip of water, Rita's teal eyes lingered on Gideon and remained quiet as she preferred to let him do the talking. You learn more by letting others take the lead than talking over them, after all. And as she expanded on his business, now she knew what he was hinting at and where to shoehorn herself in.
""Akashic International, indeed impressive. The reach you’ve established is admirable, and the contracts you've secured show your knack for growth."
Still reading through the black folder, Rita took it all in before she gently placed it back on the table before.
"Gracen Arms is focused on more than just profits. We’re dealing in human lives—rebuilding communities, providing necessities, and helping those displaced by war. My organization thrives on stability and long-term investment, not just in contracts, but in people. You mentioned opportunities being lost with growth. What you need is more than just a partnership; you need a bridge to the very communities you're hoping to tap into."
After taking a short pause for him to digest more of what she was saying, Rita motioned the folder back to him as she doubted he'd want such sensitive documents laying about.
"You have the connections with governments, defense contractors, but Gracen Arms can offer you something unique—access to the heart of rebuilding efforts in some of the world’s most destabilized regions. We’ve already begun expanding into Africa, and I see opportunities for us to collaborate on a much larger scale—logistics, infrastructure, healthcare distribution. "
Now, with her leaning forward, Rita's voice seemed more excited and carried a more sharp and precise ambitious tone to it.
""I want influence, I want control over the humanitarian operations you wish to partner in, and I want assurances that Gracen Arms will have autonomy in how we handle the aid and development sectors. In return, Akashic will have a trusted partner that can elevate its brand to a global scale—beyond weapons, beyond defense. You'll be known as the corporation that helped rebuild nations."
Rita paused once more, leaning back in her chair she nodded and let her words sink in before giving a final line:
"So, Gideon, tell me, how much are you willing to invest in securing the future? Because Gracen Arms doesn’t do half-measures and I wouldn't want to turn down an offer with someone with a face as cute as yours."

Rita liked the positivity coming from Gideon's words and body language. While it takes time to develop proper personal and business relationships, first impressions were important as hell and he left a good mark on Miss Gracen. Letting him continue, her vibrant smile never wavered, and when he finished, she extended her hand for a firm handshake, her grin widening.
"Then it sounds like we share a similar vision. I'd be delighted for Gracen Arms to work together with you. In a time like this, we all need to really come together, pool our resources and look out for the people of this planet."
Her words were warm but carried a tone of confident authority, as if this partnership was already a step toward something greater. She nodded, the excitement evident in her expression.
"Of course, there will be plenty of details to iron out—day-to-day operations, organization, logistics. But I’m confident our teams can work through that as we move forward together."
Her gaze lingered on him momentarily before her grin softened into a more casual, inviting smile.
"Maybe we can even discuss it over something to eat?"
As she left her suggestion out, her voice remained light and casual; offering an easy segue into a more informal setting.

"That's a nice grip there."
Rita had a low laugh escape as her teal eyes drifted back to Gideon's. Mulling things over, she wondered if she should order anything her heart desired or go with his chef. Decisions, decisions.
"Tell ya what,"
As she spoke, a playful grin spread across her face.
"Surprise me. Pick something you think might catch my eye~ Don’t worry, I’m not allergic to anything, so go wild."
With a wink of her right eye, Rita then stuck her tongue out and chuckled; curious to see what Gideon had in mind for their lunch now that all the affairs of their businesses were dealt with. For Rita, partnerships—whether professional or personal—were as much about networking as they were about seeing how people connected outside the realm of duty. She was curious to see how this lunch would unfold, and what it might reveal about her host.
