Look Out, Wallmaster! [Komugi, Igen]

Igen was very much enjoying the time he now could enjoy outside of recovery~ Sure, Ko assisting him with paperwork had made things somewhat manageable, but being able to return to full duty had the Third Seat on cloud nine, smiling from ear to ear and humming happily to himself as he walked out of his office with an armfull of volumes, a bare shoulder braced against the door to slide it open as he slipped out and intended to head off toward Kei's office to drop them off. Nothing short of bubbly glee in his frame.

Most unsuspecting of the assault that would soon be upon his tranquil afternoon.

"You can be smug all you want, but I still say you should wear a jacket or something over that thing." Ko murmured with a yawn as the man's Zanpaku'to spirit strolled out of the office alongside her wielder. Her own cargo was MUCH less official. A bag of chips and a can of sprite held in her arms as she walked out. And in that briefest instant, the feline's eyes would drift up and briefly affix Komugi with a passive glance. Entirely uninterested in warning Igen, but also asserting that the Zanpaku'to spirit was aware of Komugi's presence.

"BUH! Komugi!" Igen promptly yelped as the little feline suddenly dropped down from the ceiling and startled him! IN an instant, he jerked back to keep from colliding with the feline's face, only to yelp as suddenly the little feline detached herself from the ceiling!

He didn't even hesitate in the slightest. Seeing one of his fellow shinigami dropping, he instantly dropped the books in his arms so that he could catch her. The tiny little feline flumping into his arms as he staggered back, his back hitting the door frame as he arched his feet, hooking them up a bit so that the dropped volumes slid down his front and landed in the crook of his ankles, MOST of them caught though a few of them promptly slid out onto the floor as he let out a little grunt! Managing to keep himself from dropping to the floor as he adjusted his hold on Komugi and chuckled sheepishly, "Ahah, Miss Yadou, you really need to stop spooking me like that, whew. I didn't think I'd see you until later." He conceded with a smile, promptly attempting to deposit her onto the floor gently before scooping the columes up from their little roost on his ankles and then righting himself as he picked up the other dropped volumes.


Ko hardly acknowledged the gesture from Komugi, and simply watched with idle attention as the little feline promptly jumped her wielder, taking another few chips and munching them as Igen all but fell to the floor in his efforts, only to slowly recover. Good, she'd have kicked his shin if he wasn't able to at least catch a girl.

"You two should probably scoot out of the hallways. If the Lieutenant sees you fucking around she's going to be annoyed." She stated almost dismissively as she took another bite, not lifting a finger to assist in the situation as she watched the pair giggle like idiots. She was far too aware that this was the sort of prank Igen just enjoyed. What a good little idiot he was.

Igen couldn't help but sigh a little and shake his head, still smiling, as Komugi presented her argument. He didn't know about love but it was pretty entertaining, and at least she knew better than to do something like that when she was actually busy. BEsides, Ko was more than willing to speak up. And as He finished picking up the last of the volumes he gave a big smile as Komugi asked what he was doing. "Oh! Returning these! These are Report Archives from the early Vastime Incident. Due to some...conflicting information, we had to review some of the older reports. So a compiled list of all known Hollow Combatants that have not been confirmed as killed is being built up to send to Seventh Division. At least for the earlier reports." He explained calmly enough.

Certainly the shift in the conflict had resulted in the time for these sorts of things being handled by someone like him. No longer was he needed on the ground as often as he was. "This was designated to the Seventh Seat, but I'm going to be getting sent down to Africa tomorrow, so I offered to take it up since I'm going to be down there."

"Mostly details. Nothing quite so flagrantly problematic as the whole Fifth Division report suite." Koozoku chimed in with a tinge of annoyance in her voice. After all, SHE had been helping Igen with a lot of this, and so much to her chagrin she was very familiar with the situation. "A few reports had to be ran against what the Third's evaluations provided for some of the targets. A few of our...up and coming prodigies had somewhat lacking assessments for the strength of their opponents. Which is to say, some of these little geniuses wrote off some enemies because they don't know their own strength." She munched another chip as she fumed a little over it.

Igen cleared his throat a little and took on a compromising tone. "What Ko MEANS to say, is we just need a bit of cross referencing. And uh, yea. Now that we have the time to go over the reports, we're just weeding out some of the inconsistencies so that Third Division can have a more complete database." He noted with a nod to the books they were carrying.

Ko raised a brow slightly at the solidarity. Seeming to peer a bit at Komugi before reaching out and promptly patting her on the head, her pinky and thumb briefly sliding along her ears as she promptly gave her a light petting. "You're seven hundred years too young to go comforting me. But I appreciate it, little Kitten." She stated placidly as she retracted her hand.

Igen himself snorted a bit and smiled. "Well I won't say no to a bit of help. It would mean getting done a bit faster, and having a bit more time in my afternoon." He pondered. It HAD been a bit since he'd been able to get in some decent training. MUCH to his own chagrin. Sigh.... But still, a bit of help and he might even get a full afternoon! Though he did ponder between getting in some training and maybe seeing if Rio might be free. Ah wait... no., Fourth was doing more of its rounds today, theyd be around challenging other squads in their training areas. His best shot at running into her would probably be hanging around the First Division training area. Hmmmm.
