Rangiku Open sparring in squad 4!

While the laughter of his opponent swirled in the background of his wind strike, Tento’s sickle sliced through towards Rangiku’s figure after his own body appeared some distance before her out of a flash step. The melee strike found air once again as Rangiku predictably flashed stepped out of the way once again. At this point he had noticed the pattern of her liking to go for the back, and so as she moved to do so Tento had used his own superior speed to shift forward, weaving out of the way of her chop as he bent forward twisting his torso in a maneuver to stick out his leg in a back kick to her gut. In the flow of motion, Tento took the closer proximity so had created to his advantage, swinging his body around to face her while bringing his fan with him, swinging his fan as a ball of wind shot out as he quickly spun around, flashing in front of Rangiku before expanding into a violent howling miniature tornado with her at its epicenter, the cutting slices of air pinning at her from all sides.

“And I hope you dont expect to get me with repeated attacks”, Tento said from outside the wind attack hopefully catching her off guard. With a quick follow through, Tento would let loose a wordless incantation while flash stepping to the top at the one opening within the tornado. Sticking out his fan hand while spinning Shiomaru creating a medium sized ball of fire generated at high end temperatures that threatened to sizzle and shake the air around him. Shooting out the orb as it discharged in a crimson red energy coating the tornado in its flames while Tento’s Hadō #31 Shakkahō streaked down toward’s Rangiku from above. “I have a lot more I haven’t shown you yet, Rangiku!!”.

With a WHAM Tento felt his kick land, but it was a well guarded defense. Solid bone with a sturdy foundation from Vice Captain Rangiku. With Rangiku wrapped around the current of wind from all sides. With the fanning flames adding to her burns, the dust cloud she tossed out acted like a choker. Striking the wind and spinning gradually hindering the wind strike of the needed oxygen to continue the combination.

Still airborne after using his kido. Tento watched with a spinning sickle behind him as Rangiku jumped out of the one gap of the wind before rushing upward towards him. It was something he expected giving her only way of escape, but he was surprised that she chose to go to a close quarter combat approach again. With a grunt he shifted his zanpatuko in front of Rangiku’s target area, bracing for impact. With a crash he got pressed by her attack, getting moved back by a few meters from the impact.

While moving from the momentum Tento quickly lifted up his hand as he flailed his weapon, sending its metal end to retaliated against her. This was a feinted attempted though, for regardless if he managed to land a solid blow or not against her, Tento would quickly move the long chain of Shiomaru with a practiced skill. Coiling metal around Rangiku’s waist in a vice grip as Tento yanked his chain to apply pressure. With one of the feather’s quickly disappearing from Tento’s fan, the sickle head his Tento’s blade would endure a transformation. Creating a temporary vacuum around her designed to suck out all the air briefly causing a shock to the body to stagger her. Taking the chance possibly given by the shock, Tento would wave his fan and stand out a devastating wind slash that threatened to overtake her frame as the current of wind approached her.

The wind manipulation seemed to be somewhat effective. Air vs dust was something Tento considered he had an advantage over given how their zanpakuto worked. But if there was one thing Rangiku was good at instilling when he learned under her as a teacher. Abilities were not one all be all. A fight was more than just a match up. Perhaps it was the vast difference in spiritual energy, maybe it was Rangiku’s experience with her ability to think quickly on her feet, or even just her relentless pursuit of closing the distance between them. But Tento found that Rangiku would handle anything he gave out, she was truly a veteran deserving respect. An offensive he gave towards he was tactically evaded or muffled by her own ability. It was wearing him out and Rangiku was gonna have plenty of energy to spare if this kept up.

With an exit of his entrapment and endurance of his attack. Rangiku popped out of the assault to deliver a sharp punch to his midsection that knocked the wind out of his sails and dazed him. He may have felt a rib get chipped, was that why she kept going to get in close? She had a lot of power in her, she felt physically stronger than he remembered! Hunched over her punch, far more hurt than the cuts and damaged uniform on her curvaceous figure. With a wheeze he quickly found himself in a wonderful and yet unhappy situation. Her arm bar was successful, and as much as he wanted to let out a happy glee at the prospect of his arm and hand being held against her chest. The bit of pain he was in just from being held in, the wrist position stopped him from really using his sickle. “Is it good enough to be allowed to ask you on a date yet?”, Tento asked in a soft whisper half joke. Trying to really move his wrist with his blade would be a waste. But he still did it, not to actually get out but to draw her attention. He thrashed and pulled as much as he could, the veins in his arm muscle pumping while he mentally focused on his other hand.

“Honestly, I am happy I haven’t let you down. I haven't gotten the chance to talk to any of my old teachers since getting into the Gotei”. Two feathers slicking out from fan to sweep off. One attempting to slip into Rangiku’s clothes and the other to fly onto Rangiku’s back. Exploding in an explosion of air as a twist was created that twirled and thrashed against her back in a violent wind. With how durable she was that surpassed her strength and the limited strength his wind attacks was starting to become even with his bond with Shiomaru he was not sure how effective it would be. But at least it would overcharge his next strike if he could manage to get out.

Tento slid free from Rangiku's grip at the explosions of wind created from feather hitting her back. A burst of wind coated around his sickle and body as it was spin in a guided twist. “Sorry for trying to send a feather there Rangiku. But I figured you would focus on that and maybe miss the real target”, Tento said in regard to the feather she had caught in hand.

“Oh…don't get me to fight too hard now. That proposal may make me push myself harder”, Tento said in a casual jokeful voice. Free meal off him, he wanted to say that didn't fit her personality buuuut. Maybe it would be fun to spend some time with her, but he was also up for getting used to a meal without anything in return. Oh well. That was a hard challenge anyway. He would have pride if he managed that alone. Eating with a hot chick or not.

The burst of wind from the previous feather’s activation still danced around Tento’s zanpakuto as he manipulated the currents thrashing around with each twirl of his sickle. He spun, flashing in a circular approach towards Rangiku before manipulating the piece of feather she blocked, pulling it towards the charging accumulation of dust towards him exploding in yet another current of wind as Tento pivoted and made a b line towards Rangiku from her left. Using the new current of wind to send three sweeping arcs of wind at her before vanishing in a flash step, attempting to appear behind her to deliver a kick to the back of her neck.
