AKIRA TAIRITSU

To witness the babbling nonsense was one thing but to experience firsthand the sight of such a grotesque contamination, an aberrational like transformation which caused horrific spasms. It was like a plague? Akira went to offer a mercy kill, Rivu’s point being driven directly toward the heart only to watch their form writhe into the stonework which admittedly caught him off guard, switching his eyes back to normal field of vision. Then did Jenkins scream his command.

Fuck.

."Well…That’s not concerning.

Akira began to sprint beside Stella, glancing at the maws and hands which writhed with the intent to claim a victim, blade shfiting to accomodate and slash any who got close enough to be a threat in this instance. The left hand raising, muttering something under his breath as sparks of sapphire began to ignite.

."I can clear us a path if necessary! There is something In my arsenal which can handle reishi..

Jenkins

The sewers began to rumble as they ran. Stella fought against some of the hands and teeth that tried to snatch them up with others, and Jenkins heard Akira, but as their only way forward started to shake and stir, the waters next to them splashing violently, the Quincy decided that they needed more than a distraction or a temporary solution. They needed to get out of here now or things will go from bad to worse. As cement began to fall down around them, the walls loosening, Jenkins stopped, reaching his eye up to his eyepatch. With one swift action, he removed it and activated his Letzt Stil.

"Everyone! Behind me!"

His eye isn't normal, a sea of black and red that leaked tainted energy like a demon would as his body exploded with energy. His face started to contort, his left side blackening as the curse he suffered to this day empowered his body as his sword turned a pitch black to match his visage.

"Release the evils in my soul, blackened truths and woeful laughs. Revelations!"

He brought his sword up, not to attack the mass of formless creatures heading his way but to completely obliterate the ceiling of the sewers, cleaving straight through everything before him as the expanse of energy dissipated the wall of death that was encroaching upon them momentarily as the sky leaked down into the dark sewers.

"Up!" He'd then order, everyone taking heed to use their ability to fly to their advantage to escape the enclosed corridor into open ground. However, they'd find themselves at the heart of the storm, more ghoulish creatures around them. They did not attack, but then the ground would shake and from near their spot, they'd see a weirdly shaped shell that shined a bright silver. The Reishi that Akira had sensed and that they had followed flowed to it through the ground.

But as they'd settle, they'd then be hit with another tremor, the ground shaking violently as that shell released a low humming before its shape started to crack, Reishi leaking out before it exploded and a sudden well of Reishi shot upward, its light blinding as they'd feel the full extent of raw spiritual particles gathering in one place and swell upwards like a reversed waterfall, hitting the dome that kept Jefferson City separated from the world and splintering off like a lighting across the sky.

Stella would try to keep up behind the other quincy. She would try to stay close to Akira as they would move. Hearing the order from Jenkins she would listen as she would begin to fly up. Trying to help anyone up if they need any help. Stella hadn't had many opportunities ro be useful in this situation so she was trying to help anyone she would be able to.

"Akira, are you able to fly like us?"

She would ask as she didn't know a whole lot about shinigami. She wasn't entirely sure if he would be able to fly or not. Stella however wad able to do so. She would try to keep up with the others.

AKIRA TAIRITSU

Jazz music stopped.

There was a brief moment as Akira witnessed Jenkins pull out an absolute monster of a spell that created a sizable hole above, causing the left arm to raise and cover his eyes to the best of his ability. Well damn. It was a shock but little time to dawdle as the horde of abominations swarmed from either side, causing a grit of the teeth only to look up at Stella. Wait. No he could not fly. Actually the fact he had not crafted anything for such a situation was outright embarrassing.

Zathrusta found it more hilarious, a barrage of insults and musings of his lack of intellect drowning out the eardrums only for Akira to snap, a sharp tone coming to the left.

."Enough, this isn’t the time! Ugh...Appreciated Stella.

Only to return to Stella, a hand reaching out to take her own for the assistance with a firm nod! By all that was Spiritual this was awfully embarrassing, absolutely and without question an awkward moment for all. Upon his shoes hitting the pavement though and noticing the surrounding issue, he raised his blade though watched the vague direction of the reishi upturn. Then it clicked.

."That….Isn’t good.
