Too Many Bridges to Cross Over [Reida, Safira]

A lot more pieces fell into place then for Reida, and she was of half a mind to just blow this little shit to kingdom come right then and there. She knew that name perfectly well. Anyone in the Todgestalten would, after all. But Reida also knew that she was someone who could absolutely be a genuine threat to the Gotei. Someone who had all the possible reason to see the shinigami go straight to hell.

"I ain't in the business of doin' the Gotei any favors."

There was no hesitation as Reida made that choice, even knowing just how damning it might be for her down the line. This wasn't just about her. It wasn't even just about vengeance. She knew, down to her very core, that the Gotei had to go. She couldn't give up on that.

"Hoh?"

A wry smile formed when the choice was made. She didn't bother wondering about the finer details of Reida's decision, she'd made it and that was that. So her eyes lingered on the one that let her continue to run rampart in the world, condemning it to her continued existence, and she asked her.

"So, I'll ask again, would you like to burn down the shinigami with me?"

With her nature exposed and the details laid bare for Reida, the snake dared to tempt her again with the promise of the fruit she wanted to taste. Blood made the best source of nutrients for plants and she would supply her sapling plenty of blood to gorge herself in so that she bloomed into a calamity for the shinigami.

"Sure would."

She'd already gone to hell when the war started. Stepping deeper in didn't bother her anymore. The respite she'd had with the Vandenreich had been pleasant. She'd probably been more at peace there than anywhere else these past years. But peace? That wasn't what she wanted.

"Guess I'm with ya for now."

Removing her communication device from her coat, she stared at it for a few moments. She'd left plenty of things behind for the event she died, but was that what she wanted people to think? Not really. She wasn't intent on reporting back where she was going, but she didn't intend to fake her death or anything like that, either.

Besides. She liked to think one day she could go back to something at least sort of like those peaceful days.

Tossing the communicator into the air, she pointed toward it with one finger, a cero bursting from her fingertip and incinerating the device. Didn't exactly want to get tracked, did she?

"Let's move."

She smiled in delight when Reida disposed of that device and approved in the manner which she did it. The slitted eyes lazily scanning the horizon as if she was choosing what direction to go towards, she had been a vagrant in this environment without establishing anything. What was the point in doing so?

It had been idle wandering and hunting but now she had the benefit of a companion. Without being too fussy on the direction she started to stroll into the emptiness expecting Reida to follow in tow.

As it turns out the apple didn't fell far from the tree.
