Rise And Shine! [Aiko/Hannah]

'That's some strong magic.'

That's the initial thought that Aiko had when Hannah erected her Danku toward her energy attack. But it wasn't a thought that lingered. Aiko went straight into attack mode as she used her speed to jolt toward Hannah's backside and shot off another wave of energy from her blade. As debris scattered around them from the release of their energy and attacks, the battle was heating up from Aiko's perception.

Without wasting time, she rode this spark and flapped each of her wings to hurl herself a few feet above Hannah and aimed to simultaneously have a slashing downward strike to hit the shinigami. As she felt the strong taste of her iron burn in her mouth, Aiko had a wild grin come across her face as the uncertainty of what may happen from the fallout of these attacks showed she was thrilled to be engaged in combat.

"Yes, more fighting is good~"

"Tenran Isaka"

Hannah's words were simple, but the hurricane that span up was anything but. Trees groaned in the wind, and the energy blast was shredded by the spiritual particles whirling around her. Using a moment to stitch herself up with Shadow Sutures, she would adopt a proper combat posture, and exhale.

"Alright then. Something to say before hand, I was expecting this to be a sort of tutoring scene" she'd state. Though she was polite, and so would allow Aiko a moment to recover from the sudden hurricane that had just spawned right where she was. The effects of that, were rarely pretty.

There was no thought as the body of Aiko reacted on its own to form a rapid release of blood energy around herself. Despite that effort to guard herself, the raging hurricane ripped apart and strained the scarlet shield as Aiko let out a painful yell. After a flare of blinding red light lit up, she ended up flat on her ass, bloody, torn up, and looked like she got in a battle with an electric socket and lost.

A look of utter defeat and shock on her face at first, as she didn't anticipate changing that quickly in the battle. Sweat turning cold, ears ringing, and her chest tightening; the taste of iron grew stronger in her mouth as she bit her lip and resolved herself internally to get back in the fight. She clenched her fist, steadied herself on her feet, and took a calm breath in to cool her nerves.

After all this, she jumped backward as tendrils of blood spewed from the open cuts on her arms and legs. If she could figure out how to land a hit on the woman, Aiko wagered she would make movement in this battle one way or another.

Thus, in a matter of seconds, the excess blood from her body was used as projectiles meant to cut and slash up any body part they could of Hannah's. Meanwhile, Aiko jolted forward to deliver another sword strike at the woman's flank to slice at her and then deliver a hard kick in the gut.

"AGH!"

With one final cry of determination, she was prepared for whatever came next.

Now they were both on even ground again, Hannah would take a relaxed stance, and watch. Tendrils of blood came at her, and were met with quick beams of heat that boiled them into steam where they flew. Hannah would then showcase what a Shinigami could do when they were well attuned with the Zanpaktou, and raise Daisy to meet Aiko's strike.

She didn't clash it head-on, but rather followed Daisy's guidance to have the Zanpaktou tilted at an angle, that caught the opponent's blade and slid it down, and away from her. The kick in the gut was successful, though maybe regretful as Hannah created a Seki between her gut and Aiko's foot to knock her backwards from the force. Not taking the offensive yet, but allowing Aiko to set the pace.

Ouch.

That didn't go as planned.

As Aiko felt this battle moving at a break-neck pace, there was a sense of shock to be felt by Aiko as her attacks failed to hit their mark.The woman tried to rebound swiftly, but her foot went smashing into the seki placed at Hannah's gut at full speed. It sent a shockwave of pain through her foot, catapulting the woman backward. This made Aiko yelped out in anguish because that definitely felt like she smashed into a brick wall.

In response to the sudden pain, Aiko summoned burning red energy around herself and forced herself to come to a stop before panting and having a moment to re-assess how to move ahead with this fight. After a moment of silent clarity, she jolted once again and coated her fist and feet in blood that hardened like armor. Now drenched in glowing red energy, these appendages were ready to go

Glowing with red energy, she was a blur of motion. Closing the gap, Aiko reappeared behind Hannah, aiming a hardened fist at the woman's spine. Without pause, she darted to the side, sliding around to Hannah's right flank, unleashing a powerful strike accompanied by a wave of boiling blood. A roar of determination escaped her, her heart pounding with a mix of excitement and anticipation.

"THIS IS FUN!"

'I can agree with her on that' Daisy would comment, grinning inside Hannah. It was true, and made her want to get involved in a bit more of an intimate manner. And so she spoke again.

"Kyomon no Yoroi" She's incant, creating a glowing suit of armour armour her. Aiko snapped a quick move, and Hannah would take the blow and wave of blood to her armour, using the momentum to spin around and use Agitowari to slash at the woman, empowered with a great mass of spiritual energy running along the edge. A trick she had learned from her Shadow Casting training that she liked to call Piercing Heaven.

There was something wrong. The instant that Aiko slammed her foot against Hannah, a dense shield of energy emerged around the blind shinigami. The woman's eyes widened in shock, causing her to jolt out of the way of the sword strike as every single nerve in her body screamed at her to move upward with gritted teeth.

Afterward her ascent, Aiko panted with a fast, rapid breath. There was a strain in her calf as she felt a sharp constricting sensation around it, but she hissed out in pain and soldered on as she lingered twenty feet above the battlefield. She needed to buy some time and sit with the physical anguish.

So, knowing she couldn't afford to be stationary, Aiko dispersed her energy and blood streaks into the ground, encircling Hannah in a 15-meter radius. Then, with a sudden surge of power, the earth trembled as a dozen spiked spears of blood and energy burst forth, aiming to shatter the shield with their explosive force.

From her point of view, Aiko could only watch and observe what the results of this would be. So she kept her guard up, reforged her sword, and let the sweat drip from her head as she savored the intensity of this combat.

"Yeah, I need this shit. I feel alive! Even if I get my ass kicked, I won't get better at fighting by taking on easy people. So let's keep going!"

This was getting enthusiastic. Sensing the energy build up of the spikes, Hannah would hop up a little, and with some very precise application of air-walking, ride the spike into the air to avoid the rest of it's brothers. As a side-effect, it looked really cool.

"I am glad you are feeling good, Aiko" Hannah would reply, biting her lip some. Her tone was more enthusiastic before, with a hint of a woman who was far too comfortable enacting great violence with no hesitation. "It's such a shame you don't swing my way. We could have had a lot of fun together afterwards"

Hannah's eyes glimmered with a strange emotion, as if it was unclear whether she was wanting to kill, eat, or fuck Aiko. Potentially, given the situation, all three.

And then she shot off a group of Shakkaho from her fingertips, smaller than normal. Each one attached to her by a Horin, giving her fly-by-wire rockets that she could guide as she wished towards Aiko.

"Careful: your lust is showing!"

While it sucked that her other spikes didn't hit Hannah, all she needed was that one spike for Hannah to ride. With Aiko's eyes on the prize that was the blind shinigami, the supernatural goth clenched her hand and had the spike self-destruct in a cluster of scarlet energy that would devour half a city block as she panted and sweated.

There was no time to relish the explosion's deafening boom. Aiko still had to contend with the Shakkaho and Horin fusion coming toward her. So, Aiko bit her lip and tried to use her blade as a launching point to deliver slashes of scarlet energy at the attacks. This would result in a dazzling display of blood-red energy drenching the air around them.

As the winds raged around the battlefield, Aiko had steam come from her mouth as she grunted and was devoured by an explosion of energy. In less than a second, she was hurled back to the earth, bound by chains of inferno energy, crashing into a smoldering crater. As smoke left the small crater in the ground she landed in, Aiko panted heavily; her mouth filling with the metallic taste of iron as blood leaked from her lips. All of her senses were reeling as it felt like a semi-truck flattened her ass out and she was searing with pain.

Still, despite the circumstances, now was not the time to be stunned. Aiko's adrenaline was still kicking as she tried to force herself up to her feet slowly; even if her arms were restrained. She was driven to keep moving ahead by determination at this point.

"Well, you showed me-"

Hannah's comment was cut off by the explosion engulfing them, and when the dust settled, there was not even a scrap of clothing left of the woman. However, she seemed to have her own tricks, as Hannah would reappear a few moments afterwards, wearing some different clothing.

"We are outside Karakura, you know. That kind of explosion is going to draw some serious attention...I think it's time to calm down and get a drink" Hannah would reply. None of this had really been about swordsmanship anyway, more explosions and magic. Which was fitting, for most of the fights she heard about.
