Kurai also always has something around her neck, like a choker, to cover a scar that reminds her of the day of her death.

I. Personality
» Personality:
Kurai is a woman who seems to be able to dig real deep into someone without any effort. She is observant about people, especially when dealing with their despair and regrets. Kurai always seems to bring about that one memory, that one thing in someone’s past that makes their heart skip a beat, causes their breathing to become heavy, or makes them sweat. And she loves it. That moment in their eyes where their mental fortitude shifts or weakens is like a drug to her.
Kurai is a woman that is hyper focused on sins and how they affect the soul. The seven deadly sins each encompass a plethora of corrupting actions that those of the world of the living take, and she thrives while digging into each of them. They even have a taste: Pride is bitter or sour, like biting into an unripe lemon. Greed is savory, flavorful and filling. Lust is as sweet as chocolate on Valentine’s Day. Envy is as dull and dry, like an unsalted chip. Gluttony is meaty, fatty, and needs something to give it a kick. Wrath has that kick, covered in hot sauce. And sloth is like consuming a massive amount of bread; you will be tired later. She finds wrath and lust to be the most delicious of sins, as they are the ones dripping with guilt and regret. While not a sin, she also enjoys the taste of regret, betrayal, or failure.
While Kurai enjoys combat to a degree, she only truly puts effort into a battle if she feels she could mentally mess with the person she’s fighting. Her desire for battle lessens the more boring the person is. She prefers holding conversations, asking questions, digging into thoughts of their failures and traumas. It’s why Lust and Wrath are the tastiest sins to her; they are usually what ends with murder and deep regret. If not able to find anything like this, Kurai’s fighting motivation tanks, and she may even walk away from the fight and she probably won’t fight them again.
Kurai is a skilled actress and liar. Everything out of her mouth comes off as honest and true. It’s hard to decide whether or not she’s your friend until she makes it clear through actions, like trying to kill you. This skill allows her to make friends the same way some of her other kin do. She may even have friendships with a few shinigami out there, who knows? When she’s faking her way into the hearts of others, she comes off as a sweet, passionate, and generous woman who is just trying to help make someone’s day better. It’s so simple to trick people, so she does it often.
» Likes: Watching people suffer, getting people to admit their regrets, pretending to befriend those around her in order to collect information about them and use it later for her own entertainment. She also enjoys fire, liquor, sex, murder, and the beach! The water cools her off and can actually calm her moods.

I. History
» History: When Kurai’s life was ended, it was due to false allegations of witchcraft in a world of religious morons. Betrayed by the man she thought loved her, and the son who wanted to make his father proud, Kurai was tied to a large log and burned at the stake. With her hands bound behind her back, and her neck held still by an old rope scraping against her skin, Kurai vowed to seek her revenge against everyone who took part in stealing her life from her. At first, this excluded the ones she once loved; however, once the hollow took hold weeks later, any care Kurai once held for them evaporated as quickly as they did under her flame. In those years, running rampant under the Gotei’s noses was much easier.
Kurai’s life in Hueco Mundo was entertaining until things switched on her. As she fought her way to the top of a horde of hollow, forcing them all to bow to her as their leader, Kurai began carving out her own kingdom in Hueco Mundo. Her territory in the Menos Forest was either avoided or assimilated into. Kurai began expanding her land, and the stronger she got, the more attention she received. Safira made her way into Kurai’s den, slaughtering those who would not betray Kurai or recruiting traitors. Safira did not offer the same to Kurai. Instead the two of them participated in a fierce battle where Kurai truly gave it her all. She attempted to defeat Safira, to crush her, only to be beaten and broken. Safira then restrained her for the length of time it took to dismantle everything she created. Kurai only got out after Safira had her fun and left her in the ruins of her own Kingdom.
Kurai’s hatred toward Safira is what kept her going for years after this. Her entire focus was to increase her power to the degree that she could humiliate Safira. She hunted strong hollow and arrancar alike, learning to do what damage she could as she consumed the souls that brought her closer to becoming an Arrancar herself. She did this as far away from Safira as she could, running through the endless desert of Hueco Mundo until she felt herself reach a comfortable distance. During this time, she gathered more hollow to her side, charged them with the task of finding strong souls she could eat. Kurai took every strong soul she could, leaving leftovers for minions. Feeling stagnant, Kurai returned to the Human World.
Kurai’s power spiked a little after World War III, when she took advantage of the changes that were happening due to Aizen’s appearance and the arrival of demons. With a whole new type of creature to devour, Kurai took to consuming both humans and demons, and of course the occasional Quincy stupid enough to confront her. Knowing her limits and not wanting to fail her personal mission, Kurai kept her attacks quick, planned, and devastatingly fulfilling. By the time shinigami would show, she was gone. She became skilled at hiding her presence, or even masking it enough to lose someone chasing her. By the time World War III ended, Kurai had consumed a thousand human souls and a hundred demon souls.
Death was delicious…
Re-rising in power among the hollows of Hueco Mundo, many again feared her flames, as even hollow could suffer under the power of her Hellfire. Bombarded by memories of the souls they all consumed, she stunned them, and they each fell to her. No one was safe from Kurai’s wrath, not even her own kind. She began consuming those who did not follow her. Years of this trend, she gained a following and rose up from a mere Gillian to an Adjuchas. Kurai’s reign led her closer to even reaching the highest level; however a traitorous bastard attempted to kill her. In his attempt, before she succeeded in consuming him to, Kurai was forced into an Arrancar transformation. The traitor got a hold of her mask and started to tear.
With the mask partially ripped off, her howls were heard for miles as her power fluctuated. She had been on the verge of Vasto Lorde, but the forced removal of her mask stopped that. In pain and left with a partially removed mask, Kurai had to finish the rest and ripped the mask fully off to complete the transformation from hollow to Arrancar. When the dust finally settled, and her power stabilized, Kurai took to hunting down the traitor that stopped the advancement she had been working hard to complete. While she had been working hard to become an Arrancar and now was one, she knew she had more power to gain if someone had not foolishly interfered. She found the traitor and consumed him in Hellfire.
With her new found powers and strength, Kurai knew she had every ability to regain what she lost. She could gather more hollow, create a following that rivaled some of the other Arrancar that claimed territory. However, she chose not to. She realized how much unwanted attention that created and came to the conclusion that she did not need or want it. Instead, she looked to challenge those she felt a decent match, while also understanding what was completely out of her league. In one of these combats, she took on Criella and Rey. The combination of fighting the two of them brought her to using her Res for the first time. Knowing defeat was imminent, Kurai took advantage of her Hellfire to escape them before they killed her.
In her most recent years, she’s discovered a different way of getting what she wants: manipulation. Unfortunately, those of Hueco Mundo are mostly immune to this type of interaction, so she made her way to the World of the Living. During her years there, she has made many “friends” and enemies alike. She has people who cater to her every whim, thinking she is the loveliest person ever, or others who despise her for having hurt them in the past. A fellow Arrancar that she has come closest to being real friends with is Amaranta. While the two of them have very different views of humankind, shinigami, and everything else out there, they each have respect for the other’s methods. It’s become live and let live between them.
The world of the living has become somewhat of a playground for Kurai. Religions and people of faith have given her perfect stages for concocting “devil” stories of her own. She has even created a few cults about herself. She especially enjoys causing nightmares for those questioning their existence or place in the world. Convincing people they are damned and will soon burn in hell is a very entertaining way to pass the many years Kurai has ahead of her. Her work is most known in smaller towns, as cities have an easier time hand-waving the chaotic and unexplainable things that occur there. As far as Kurai is concerned, the farther her legends spread, the better job she is doing causing chaos throughout the world.
I. Natural Abilities
» Natural Abilities:
Combat: Kurai possesses a primal skill in combat, where her skills with a weapon and hand-to-hand start off bestial and wild. She clearly has no formal training and utilizes years of experience and success in combat. Though she prefers fighting hand-to-hand, when she needs to, she will grab her sword.
Durability: The centuries of combat have conditioned Kurai’s body to being ridiculously hard to harm. She can take some of the strongest attacks without problem, and it is difficult for opponents to even cause her pain.
I. Racial Abilities
» Racial Abilities:
Hierro: Kurai has one of the fastest and most accurate hierros. She can pinpoint her reiryoku at specific impact spots at a rapid rate, allowing herself to stop incoming attacks in a fraction of a second. Because this is how she has focused practicing with her reiryoku, she has a harder time covering her whole body. Instead, she can easily cover smaller parts, even multiple at a time. When covering larger parts of her body, Kurai’s hierro is only 50% as effective as normal. However, the small pieces of shield she creates are dense enough to decrease the amount of damage in that one spot by 150%. This is why she usually keeps her hierro hardened over her skull and around her neck. It’s not like she has a heart.
Cero: Kurai’s use of cero is exquisite, at least for what little she knows to do with it. Her cero ability is not vast, and she doesn’t touch Bala. ”I mean, come on, it’s just a big beam of energy you can blow some shit up with. It’s really not that impressive of an ability. However, she holds one major cero up her sleeve:
- Rabia Cero: Infused with heat, this powerful and fiery cero shoots from the open spot between Kurai’s horns. The swirl of red, yellow, and orange colored reiryoku is super heated. The heat it creates can affect what it strikes in different ways. For example, the sand of Hueco Mundo may turn to glass since it has no power to resist her reiryoku. The effect of the heat is lessoned based off of the character’s Spirit Class. The higher someone’s Spirit Class, the less they’ll be affected. A Spirit Class higher than hers won’t be harmed by the heat, but will still feel heat as if they stood near a campfire. Kurai can use this cero up to four times in a thread.

» Zanpakutō Name: Endellion
» Sealed Zanpakutō Appearance: While most walk around with a normal katana, Kurai’s zanpakuto comes in the shape of a massive sword with a handle that is similarly shaped to the cross she had been tied to on the day of her death.
» Sealed Zanpakutō Power:
La Llamada de Fuego: Kurai has the capability to create fire out of her reiryoku. She also has the ability to mentally control fire, whether it is made up of her reiryoku or not. The amount of fire Kurai has the capability of making is equal to her Spirit Class minus two levels. She can control fire at ranges equal to that same maximum. When only mentally controlling, the fire moves at speeds equal to her own minus two levels. When she uses her hands to guide her fire, it moves at speeds equal to her own level. Kurai is limited to controlling fire that she can see. When interacting with other character’s fire, Kurai has the capability of taking control of it if certain conditions are met: her spirit class is greater than theirs and her Nucleo skill is greater.
Núcleo de Fuego: Kurai is 50% resistant to the effects of normal fire. However, Kurai has a 35% resistance to fire created through supernatural means, with the condition that the created fire’s strength is less than her own Nucleo skill.
Sabor del Infierno: When Kurai is fighting someone, any time her fire affects them or any time their reiryoku affects her, she can “taste” their greatest sin, or at least what sin would be attached to their most traumatic memories. This does not give her any boosts in power, but does give her insight into how to manipulate their mental and emotional states. The effect of this ability is constant, but once discovered, can be countered by a Willpower greater than her Nucleo skill.
Ascua: This spell is a tiny flame Kurai can create out of Hellfire. It’s no larger than the flame of a candle or a lighter, and can only burn for a short amount of time. For example, it could burn long enough to burn through a letter, a cigarette, or incense. It has the same effects as Kurai’s Fuego del Infierno, or Hellfire.

» Resurrección Release Phrase: Repent
» Resurrección Release Action: Kurai holds the extra large blade above her head. Upon speaking the release phrase, the bursts into flame that swiftly slides down the blade like a flame on a candlewick until it reaches her hand a second later. Her body erupts into flame, and she transforms into what you see below.
» Resurrección Appearance: Keeping the feminine form she normally has, most of her body becomes covered in a volcanic rock armor, her horns grow and smooth out, and her skin turns yellow due to the heat now exuding from her body. The picture below is what she looks like, except the rock armor is black.
» Resurrección Abilities:
Fuego del Infierno: Unless otherwise stated in the ability itself, Kurai’s fire takes on a unique trait. As it burns and turns the world back to ash, it releases diminutive bits of reiryoku that can be inhaled through the smoke, ash, and other debris her fire creates. When inhaled, the reiryoku begins to mess with the person’s mind, forcing old memories of things the person believes they did wrong back to the surface. For example, if they were the cause of someone’s death and regret it, those memories will begin to flash in pieces in their minds. The longer a person inhales this reiryoku, the stronger these memories become. If someone falls for it fully and it reaches its max strength against them, it will be like they are reliving it completely.
- Countering Fuego del Infierno: This can be countered by preventing inhalation, such as using a mask or taking advantage of air movement abilities to blow the debris away. It can also be countered by all three mental skills. As long as at least one mental skill is equal to or greater than her Nucleo ability, the effect is reduced by 85%, meaning it works much slower than normal.
- Use on Hollow: When a hollow is affected by Hellfire, they are bombarded by the guilt and regrets of the souls they have recently consumed. The more a hollow has recently consumed, the more powerful the effect is. This causes a hollow to frenzy, as they lose control of their mind and go berserk, not seeing friend or foe. This can be countered the same ways as above.
- Use on Arrancar: When an Arrancar is affected by Hellfire, it’s different. Instead of producing memories of guilt or regret, the inhalation reiryoku from her Hellfire cause an enhanced focus on their Aspect of Death. The results of this differ from character to character, and the owner of the character can decide what happens.
Resplandor: In Kurai’s Resurrección, her whole body becomes blistering hot, affecting a range of 30ft. Flammable materials can burst into flame by getting too close, such as paper, cloth, or greenery. People who get too close experience the heat as if fire was touching their skin. This effect is lessoned based off of the character’s own Spirit Class; the higher someone’s spirit class, the less it affects them. If a person’s Spirit Class is higher than hers, the heat won’t harm them, but that doesn’t mean they can’t feel it like they would the sun on a summer day.
Cauterizar: Wounds that cause Kurai to bleed are quickly cauterized by the heat that makes up her body. This does not fix internal injuries, just surface ones.

If greater or equal to, then she is only 20% resistant to supernatural fire.
Resplandor de dispersión: This is a floor crawling fire that rapidly extends over an area. The area affected is equal to the maximum range of one level below her Spirit Class. So, if she was Spirit Class 2, the range this could reach is “Large Towns.” Excluding the effect of Fuego del Infierno, this fire is as normal as fire can be. It’s not super heated, nor does it have any force or pressure behind it. It can be accelerated by things like gas. The fire starts at her feet and crawls along the floor at speeds equal to hers, until it hits a significant water source, is stopped or slowed by some other force (such as a building), or reaches maximum range.

Issue: For an ability that only loses a bit over half of its effectiveness everywhere else, a 200% boost is somewhat too high of a percentage boost.
Suggested Solutions: 150% is more agreeable of a percentile boost that doesn't give Kurai such an oppressive ability that is already difficult for people to bypass normally. With that said, increasing her weakened Hierro to 50% effectiveness is allowable with the debuff of the focused version.

Issue: This ability has no indicator of how it interacts with other spiritual fires that another may create.
Possible Solution: Include information on how this ability interacts with another character's fire abilities.

Issue: This ability, in a sense, is a bit redundant with the level of durability you asked for. However, the main issue here is her resistances outside of Ress than in Ress. Also, I am unsure if you meant to make her durability to strong fire weaker in Ress than out of Ress. Nonetheless, with Elite durability, her weakness to strong fires is somewhat circumvented.
Possible Solution: Lessen her immunity to fire or take a drop in durability.
-- Her durability is also a bit lacking in relativity. As her history does relate that she's survived a long tirade of fights, there's no real showcase of her surviving conflicts that are equivalent to what it means to have elite durability. She's heavily damaged and runs away. The history could do with more examples of standing her ground and letting herself be thrown around beyond what she should be capable of.
Her use of multiple abilities that also grant her durability also takes away the need for her own body to be high in defenses since, at this point, her Hierro would take any blow she'd have to tank.
