Just Like Any Other Day...[Akira; Mara]
It was a relatively calm day today, almost too calm one could say. That eerie kind of calm, like right before a great storm was about to hit. Maybe it was just the fact that tension was still high amongst everyone within the Soul Society and Seireitei especially given the attack of the Hollows happened not too long ago; or maybe it was just general paranoia. Word on the street was some other noble families were getting attacked out of nowhere, so that could easily be a factor too.
Nonetheless, none of the above would be a strong enough reason to get in the way of Akira Yumeji going about his day as per usual. There was business to be had, things to be done, people to see, and places to be as it were. The sun was shining at its peak, so now was the perfect time to be doing those things. Although there was no specific need for it, The Fatebound still found himself dawned in his more formal attire, cape and all; the crest of the Yumeji Family, a silver scale with a feather on one side, and a sakura blossom on the other emblazoned on the back. Unmei, his Zanpakuto would be strapped in it's sheathe slung diagonally across his back. As he was just about to leave the relatively large estate on the outskirts of Seireitei, his mother caught him at the door, two of the families attendants at her side.
"Akira...aren't you forgetting someone?"
His back would be originally turned as he was just about to step out, but he knew better to speak to her remaining like this lest he provoked his father's rage: for he always had a way of knowing these things. Akira's eyes would slightly roll at the prospective implication within her words- "Don't give me that kind of look, you've certainly heard the rumors by now. And you know the rules because of such- none of the family is to go-" Through pursed lips he'd abruptly interrupt what she was saying "Yea, yea; none of us are to go out alone anymore. But don't you and father think we can all handle ourselves by this point? I understand you two are just worried, but-" Then his words of rebellion would be interrupted...not by one's that came from her lips, but the death glare from her eyes. It would seem as if, maybe Akira was prodding too much into this situation.
Sigh, the small exasperated exhale would leave his mouth. "Fine, I'll take Hiroshi with me, but only to make you feel better." Akira wanted to add mention of not telling father about this, but he knew the plea would fall on deaf ears most likely. Upon saying that, his mother would offer a curt nod out of respect, and the attendant on her left would step forward. "Alright, we're heading out now, I'll see you later mother." With that now out of the way, he'd turn his back once more and step forward into the street, Hiroshi following suit remaining quiet for the time being; hands tucked inside each sleeve, posture held higher and more straight than what Akira would show.
