Blood Under The Moon [Rita/Sabre]

Her response was almost a whisper. Having suppressed her spiritual pressure, a sudden Sonido placed Saber directly behind Rita. Those bright red fierce eyes balefully locked on Rita's form, the form of the one who had been burning down those hollows from before. And so her zanpaku'to FLASHED down, the only warning being that soft murmur as Saber brought her blade in a downward slash aimed to leave a bright red line from Rita's shoulder down to her ass. An underhanded attack to be sure, but she wasn't above being a little dirty in the midst of a conflict.

She was here to observe. And a number of the Gotei's strongest were present. And so she had intended to watch, but something about this woman mowing down hollows had irked her. Perhaps it was her time as a gillian. Maybe it was something else. But just like that, the rather massive arrancar was staring down the shorter woman and narrowing her eyes. Clearly challenging them.

"If you've had enough of wiping out those weaker than you. Perhaps you'll find just as much enjoyment fighting something that can think for itself." She snarled, showing her teeth as she pointed her blade at the woman.

"I'm afraid you're mistaken. On a number of subjects." Saber murmured, her body vanishing with another Sonido once that bullet fired. Not dodging, but ducking and shooting STRAIGHT at Rita, Dipping her large frame with alarming speed as she aimed to lunge in and that hand suddenly appeared infront of the woman. Aiming to grab Rita by her torso before twisting and THROWING the woman into the nearest building. Certainly it was an aggressive move, and one that was punctuated by the sound of that bullet exploding behind her. But she didn't mind. Wether that attack didn't land, or if the two wound up clashing and then skidding away from eachother. She was perfectly fine continuing her train of thought after the fact.

"I am not affiliated with any of the arrancar or hollows here. For the very same reason that you attacked those hollows, I am now attacking you. You speak of what this place has turned into. How long do you think these hollows have been underground? ONly to find you human worms, growing ontop of them like lice. And you have the gall to be offended when they finally woke and scattered your little city." She murmured with a slow, and clear disdain. A glance toward the other fights. Keeping her Reikaku squarely on Reida as she surveyed a few far off explosions. A few of the higher ups were fighting. And ..... Klein and Amaranta? She narrowed her eyes a little. She hadn't expected that.

"Would any particular answer satisfy you? I don't imagine they would. If I were here to protect someone I love? IF I were here to save my comrades kidnapped by your ilk? Would you surrender? Let me through? Spare my kind?" She ventured mockingly. Clearly giving Rita the business for asking a question whose answer would have no effect on their clash.

"But by all means. If you would like to stop attacking me and take a seat. I would be happy to tell you exactly why I'm here."

Ugh.

She narrowed her eyes slightly as those bright lights suddenly ignited around her body. Was she able to just spawn these wherever? The sudden explosive burst around her body caused Saber to tense up, gritting through the attack as a number of small bursts covered her frame, narrowing her eyes as the dust finally settled and she leered at the woman.

Her clothing burned in a few places, and smoke coiled around her, but when it finally cleared, she was utterly unmarked. A combination of her Hierro having soaked up most of the damage, and her regeneration kicking in, healing what damage had been done. A sneer of derision as she realized that this was going to be an annoying fight. A pause.... wait a minute.

She narrowed her eyes for a moment. Focusing her pesquisa before a sly smirk crept across her features. Interesting. Those eyes darted straight back to Rita for a moment before pausing. She brought her Zanpaku'to up and held it horizontally. Narrowing her eyes as she focused on the woman before her. Her mind wandering for a moment. Remembering. Slowly she lowered herself into a crouch and drew her sword back, narrowing her eyes as she focused on the woman before her.

That is,....until the woman asked for an explanation. Surprise written across the woman's face .... before her eyes narrowed.

Flujo.

A sudden burst of motion as Saber shot straight toward Rita. And for just an instant, that speed skyrocketed, her body actually shrinking down, narrowing her profile, thinning her body as she turned her insides into liquid. A crackle sounding as she used sonido mid-way through the strike, instantly closing the distance between them, before VICIOUSLY cleaving horizontally. Aiming to slash clean across the woman's chest in passing. And just as fluidly pulling the slash back to stab her blade into Rita from behind. A Sudden one-two strike.

"Lo Siento. But I'm not actually going to tell you shit, pendeja."

Sabre's eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she made note of the woman's actions. Those bright red eyes leering into the woman's features before a calm smile flitted across her features, lopsided as she considered the woman's shift in energy, and that goad toward the skies. And it was in that moment, that she vanished with a Sonido, promptly blitzing off rapidly, shooting off toward the west and away from Rita! Speeding off toward a nearby group of responders to the hollows. Of course, with Rita having leapt into the sky, it meant that with them being comparable, the woman wouldn't be able to catch up. She'd just have to watch as Sabre promptly decided to streak toward some of the woman's allies.

Perhaps civillians? Perhaps shinigami. Or perhaps even some Soldat. That didn't matter. Her Pesquisa identified them as nice, weak, and ripe for slaughter. After all, she'd interrupted Rita while she had been mowing down Hollows. Perhaps it would be fitting that the woman get to enjoy a bit of reciprocation~ If Rita wanted to try and waste time luring her, she was ALL too happy to simply change targets toward something that wasn't fast enough to run away.

Oh? Was that what she thought was going to happen?

A smirk played across Sabre's features. But she didn't just obliterate them. No, she didn't HAVe to kill them. That would simply be callous. Rather, as she tore through their bodies, she specifically targeted nonlethal sareas. Shearing off limbs, cutting through their middles. Avoiding the chest and head, to ensure that rather than simply dying, they dropped, likely shouting or screaming.

And so as Rita charged after her , she'd have a choice. Put up that big, burning aura of hers, and burn the injured alive, or she could ditch it and fight Sabre without it. All the same, a big grin flashed across her features as she promptly vanished. Each and every time that Rita closed in, she crackled, a sonido used to keep her distance from the woman, darting around with sharp bursts of speed, and even as Rita began to use her power to speed herself up, Sabre too began to shrink herself down, narrowing her profile to match that burst of speed. The woman now compacted down to about 4'10" in height, shorter than Rita by a fair ammount as she shot around.

Of course, if she had STILL been trying to attack the bystanders, she might have had trouble avoiding those strikes. But now, she was PURELY evading, darting around, and smiling as she moved away from the injured, allowing Rita the opportunity to use that explosive blast of power. Her hierro straining as those waves of heat flashed off. IT certainly was potent, but it wasn't anything she couldn't endure. The edges of her clothing starting to catch fire. But it was then that she suddenly DARTED back, and suddenly. Rita would find herself in the middle of a Vandenreich formation. Lowly Soldat. Not fighters, but Albedochiffren, support that were tending to the wounded. A smirk playing across Sabre's features. And if Rita were still using that burning armor of hers, she'd no doubt be met with the fresh screams of Vandenreich personnel being cooked by her aggressive tactics.

"MY my my. You know, you seemed to be having so much fun blowing through Hollows. But by that expression you seem to be quite unhappy when you humans are treated the same way. Perhaps, would you have preferred that I had simply blown them all up with Energy like you were doing?" She openly taunted the woman, another burst of Sonido as she promptly located a Gotei support unit with her pesquisa. Low energy. Nobody that felt like they could be a fighter, and promptly started leading Rita there. A few patches of her flesh smoldered a little, but her Hierro and Regeneration were holding up for the time being. A few scorches were in the process of vanishing along her frame, but she we enduring. IT was worth suffering through the pain if it meant Rita was burning her allies~

She just had to be careful not to dally. She needed those Vandenreich and Gotei fellows to survive so that they could make reports after all~
