Seaside Fight Night: Tag Team Event: Lukas and Solomon vs Tento and Mizu

5... Solomon exhaled softly, steeling himself for the tag-team battle that was set to unfold.

4... He settled into an offensive stance, his thunderous blade thrummed with an electrical current that rippled across the air.

3... His entire body radiated an immensity that encompassed his entire aura, azure eyes focusing in on his enemy of choice - Tento Zefa. He had bested him once in a clash of blades. That hard-earned effort would not be repeated here today.

2... He would emerge victorious, displaying the skill and talent that had secured his victory once before.

1... His eyes emitted a bright blue glow, momentarily appearing as if lightning danced within that fiercely determined gaze.

0... And now, the time for battle begins.

Lukas and Mizu would be the first to usher in the momentous battle between Quincy and Shinigami. Lukas charged forward, and the vice-captain of the second division responded in kind, executing a spell of surpassing immensity, a veritable cannon of thunderous energy roaring through the pavilion with it's aim set on his teammate. There were several options that presented themselves, but not one of them featured assisting the man on defense, though that certainly hadn't come from a place of disdain.

If anything, Solomon respected Lukas overall capability as a warrior, and therefore believed he would answer the call without issue. His aggressive gaze had already settled on his opponent of choice. Absorbing the ambient reishi from this spiritron-rich environment, Solomon formed eight pillars of electrified reishi, each thrumming with the pulse of lightning as they surrounded his tall frame.

Leaping off of the pavilion, Solomon tigerishly bolted through the air, swinging every bolt of lightning simultaneously with a mighty swing of his blade. Each converged on him from a different angle in two sets each. If Mizu would give his comrade no quarter, then he wouldn't offer any mercy for Tento, either, regardless of their friendship. To exemplify that, Solomon amplified his speed, tapping into the high-speed boon of Hirenkyaku, roaring in to slash his blade directly across the man's abdomen, aiming to eliminate any angle the man wished to move from in the chaos. If he wished to emerge unscathed, he had to earn it.

My my meee oh my. The organizerswere being ga it fancier with the match decor and process in comparison to the other matches. They really wanted this tag team match to be a big hit! Tento was bouncing with energy and excitement as the cameras flickered and shined.

...5... Pump it up pump it up. Steady breaths...deep. Feel the air flow throw your bones...your veins...

Breaaaaaaathe.

...4... Exhale. The joy of the scent of life was around. Soft and strong. Reishi flowed in a soft flow. Pouring out of the ebony as he stared forward at the two match up of his team with an eager glow to his eyes.

...3... The grip of his Zanpakuto tightened, his left hand hanging low in a relax guard as he shifted his blade forward.

...2... "have fun everyone".

...1... "...and good Luck". A twinkle of a light shined in his eyes. A soft blow that roared with intensity. Threatening to grow into a bright flame. Still as if it was simply waiting for timber to be thrown onto the fire.

A shiver came as the fierce energy boomed outward from Mizu's arm. A challenging smile coming to his face as he witnessed Solomon approach. The eight pillars of electrified reishi, trimming and thrumming with the pulse of lightning around the blonde haired swordsman.

Seeing the eight electric pillars Tento was most certainly not going to just stand there. He has things he wanted to show Solomon too! Tento had grown since their bout in Africa and the group battle against Ringo D. Faster, stronger, more hearty, and a bit smarter too he would like to think. And so as soon as those pillars were swung after Solomon bolted like lightening, Tento was already running in a dash. Curling and turning in an attempt to make it a timed effort if Solomon wanted even one of those pillars to land or get in his way. In between his plain running, Tebto would also flash step. Vanishing and reappearing in random phases it seemed; eyes keeping a trained gaze onto Solomon the whole time, hopefully.

His reaction speed and awareness was good but this challenge of so many pillars coming all at once still made it a heavy task at hand. When the last two sets of electric pillars either hit his body or missed him, Tento would swing his sword cloaked in his spiritual energy, hoping to clash with Solomon's electric charged blade. "Going hard for the start eh? Can't even let me get wwrmed up before a ko blow? Heheeh", Tento said in a friendly banter before spinning. Gainung momentum before letting out a wide slash. Hoping to form distance or knock Solomon's stance off if he chose to block.

Either way the case Tento would rush forward and attempt to clash blades. All before jumping into the air in an attempt to throw a kick aimed at Solomon temple.

Fucking shinigami. Lukas already knew something of the woman's abilities. Without her, he doubted the giant hollow would've gone down as easily - but that was then.

The back edge of his sword became real, a step bringing him forward and into the approaching kido. Lukas' sanrei bound arm shot forward, chopping through the blast as he'd form the remainder of his sword around it, drawing in the reishi as he did, not a single step faltered. The light washed over him as he brought it back down, opening the edge with a singular flood back of her kido, formed into a bushel of arrows.

Whatever potential her attack had to hurt him left scrapes on the edge of his frame; arms, legs, a singe to his hair.

"Not enough to stop me, woman!" The clash of arrows with the remainder of Mizu's spell erupting around them, the resulting cloud of debris With his sword slowly reforming, Lukas took the cover with gusto; aiming to circle behind the woman with a near silent sprint underneath the crackling thunder of Solomon's attack. If he was successful?

Well, there was no point in dragging things out. Dull the blade. Send her flying, then double team the dud.

Can't catch me off guard that easily! Having previously fought Solomon in the Seaside Fight Night Arena, his electric pillars were of no distraction to Mizu. Nor was Lukas too quick for her to follow as he tried flanking her, even with a bit of smoke in the air. She followed Lukas's movements with her raised hands, and when it became clear he planned on lunging at her she spoke another spell's name "Bakudō #9: Hōrin!"

If Lukas and Solomon were familiar with the many Kidō spells available to Shinigami, they may be just as surprised as Tento at the plain Kidō barrier that formed instead of energy tendrils. What Lukas wouldn't know is upon being struck, the barrier would unleash Hōrin tendrils which would immediately seek to wrap tightly around him. Whether the Quincy inadvertently set the trap spell off or not, Mizu proceeded to draw and swing her Zanpakuto while dodging backwards, uttering the words "Hadō #78: Zangerin - Apply Fire!" as she did, causing a an arc of energy enveloped in flames to launch from her weapon in Lukas's direction.

"Of course. This a battle for pride, after all, Tento. You bested me once, and I wish to correct that loss here today."

To approach this battle with anything less was an insult, to himself and his opponent. At this moment in time, Tento Zefa was not regarded as his friend, but a formidable obstacle that required a considerable degree of skill to overcome. An absolute victory is what he desired, after all. Eight of his pillars had been evaded, but Solomon's confident expression did not waver. Those electric pillars would reach his enemy as he intended, whether Tento desire that result or not.

Shortsighted offense was no longer his forte. When he chose to evade them, Solomon held Keraunos forward. Using his thunderous spirit weapon as a lightning conductor, drawing each thunderous pillar of reishi onto Tento as their blades collided in the air. Telegraphing that midair kick to his head, Solomon would use Hirenkyaku to vanish, reappearing at his side while each of those pillars thundered in from behind to earn purchase against the Shinigami's body.

"Heh. Yeah I expected that. I look forward to see the other tricks you got now". Hearing that the blonde haired Quincy's competitive response. He expected nothing less. Finishing is dance of movement away from the electric pillars attacking him, the building gaze of intense focus meeting Solomon's confident expression. As Tento felt the force of his energy clash against Solomon's electric blade. A buzz in the air was quick an interested gaze as Solomon shifted Keraunos forward in their grapple.

Tento felt the enery shift around, the thunderous sparking pillars of reishi avoided before now turning as his kick to the head was avoided. With a quick vanish Solomon moved away from the attack, coming to Tento's side to throw out his blade once again. In response Tento quickly turned throwing out his blade to clash with the electric cloaked blade. As he did this he would extend his other hand backwards towards his back, using Hadō #33. Sōkatsui to unleash a dense bright wave of blue flames from his palm. The torrent of blue energy being fired with increased size to consume the 8 pillars attempting to fly in from behind.

Shifting forward Tento would press his sword into Solomon's, tilting down before sliding up against Solomon in a feint before throwing a knee strike to the gut before bringing his sword out in a quick slash. Before hoping back and lunging forward in a stab.

Bakudo? That's defensive, right? Knuckles whitened as Lukas' grip on Ahnengeist grew tight, the blade's reishi shifting into nothing as he thrusted the weapon forward. Mizu's shield would find little to work with, as the spirit weapon manifested to spear the shinigami's abdomen.

A step forward, the push of his shoulder as he'd carry the blow through. Her spell firing in turn, Lukas' right arm rippled with red; veins raging to the surface in a desperate plea to be seen. Reishi gathered against his skin, a slamming blow into the spell to knock away from himself as he pursued the shinigami.

The quincy, having found adrenaline raging, would not be found wanting. With teeth wide, Lukas' feral smile gave way to venom. "Run far, run fast! Die anyway!"
