It was smart of Nanashi to remove her mask when she did, ensuring that Shura had nothing to firmly grasp onto and preventing her from launching the woman away from her. However, Nanashi was smart enough not to sit atop a Shinigami who was about to release their Shikai, which gave Shura plenty of time to reclaim her stance and reset them both back to a neutral fighting distance.

"So your homework was not done. Of everyone within the Fourth Division, my Zanpakuto is one of the most commonly seen, and one of the easiest to research." She said in response with a smirk "Tento needn't intervene, he knows how this will end if he tried. As he said, the repairs were just finished so I'd rather not cause the damage to the same or greater degree if we can avoid it. So put that mask back on and come at me with all you got, Nanashi, and lets see if your cockiness can match up to that of Rio Shihoin!"

Shura didn't make the first move, rather she wanted to see what this newcomer had in her pocket besides purely speed and a hollow mask... or if this would be yet another Shinigami come to the Fourth that was a waste of her time.

Tento had to give a slight eyebrow raise at Shura's words. He knows how this will end if he tried. he really could not avoid a part of him taking that as a little challenge. Shura did have that persona and reputation of always deliberately or undeliberately getting people of the 4th riled up. With or at her...usually at her. Such was the spunk of the Fire Princess eh?

Either way, it was true that if he did join in there would be a good deal of combat. Tento and Shura would assure that, throwing Nanashi would only further guarantee that and increase that damage most likely.

Tento would give a hmmmmmm in false ponder. The friendly smile still on his face as he gazed at Nanashi. "Maybe some other time Nanashi. I rather not drag this out into the night after all", they did have a welcoming party to get to. And Tento expected, that there would be a few injuries from both ladies that he would have to heal once their spontaneous spar was done.

Nanashi raised a brow as her eyes shifted over the lengths of Shura's shikai. Her own attention was fleeting and her gaze really wasn't catching on the weapons. Huh, that was all they did? She waited for a moment, as if prospecting the woman and her weapons. But it became a little abundantly clear how things would turn out. The demeanor of the other woman certainly caught her attention and felt familiar enough.

She turned her attention to Tento and put on a calm smile. "Hmmmm, I guess you make a good point. There IS supposed to be a meet and greet." She reached up and itched the back of her head. She promptly turned her back on the woman in release and folded her arms as she addressed Tento. "Well we can just head there then. I'm a little surprised! You seem a lot more composed than I thought you'd be!" She chimed! A pleased smile on her face as she took a moment to admire Tento. So calm, so collected! No less not taking the bait that that other gal had pit out for him.

Yes...yes this guy was most certainly cool, and she was already making mental notes to pay attention to his mannerisms. Surely if she was going to succeed in the swuad, he might be a good role model! At least for now.

The fact the girl made no move of her own told Shura quite a bit, not everyone in the fourth was as gung-ho about fighting as she was... in fact very few probably were equally eager to just fight like she was. However she'd be a liar if she said she was more than disappointed that the girl soon turned around, as if to walk away from a fight she accepted.

Setting the base of her Axe down against the ground she leaned against it, contemplating her own next move. Part of her wanted to scream at this girl to turn back around, part of her wanted to just attack... but it was something of an unspoken rule of hers to not attack those unwilling to fight. Doing so was something that caused her to almost be expelled from the Academy, and though she was no longer in the academy... she still had more to think of than just her combat prowess.

So it was that she closed her eyes and soon sealed and sheathed her Zanpakuto without a word, turning away from the two with a soft sigh. She wanted this girls full attention, and she clearly had her mind on matters that weren't fighting at the moment. As such a battle of any kind, spar or not, would likely lead to dissatisfactory results for both of them regardless of the actual outcome. However, Shura had gained some information about her opponent, information that she could use in the future and understanding about what she was capable of. That mask would be an issue next time, an even bigger one if the girl released her Shikai with it present.

"Go to your meeting." Shura said, waving dismissively at the two "would just be a waste of time otherwise..." She muttered to herself afterwards.

Well that was easier than he thought it would be. Both ladies here had gusto and a sready for action vibe. At least one he was more than sure of, and the other showed as he and his human friends had liked to say. Ready and wanting the smoke. By all means some sort of physical test was the norm for anyone put into the 4th. A mission with a seated officer or veteran unseated officer. Perhaps a few spars. That was obvious to get a closer combat assessment. Beyond that, PARTY.

It was an excuse to cut loose and one Tento was happy to fry and help organize and run wild. It did good for moral after all. And it was healthy fun and a break from their constant duties. "Composed and wild is how I be. When it is depends", Tento said in an amused wink. It was a hit curious as to why she thought it was a surprise that he was so composed. This had no real meaning or personal significance. No important significance.

"Alright alright. Let's go". Tento shifted. Popping away from the wall he was leaning against and let out two soft claps of his hands. It seemed the ladies ended it much faster then he expected. They hadn't even started. A little bit of a disappointment to be honest. "Since ya not coming. See ya later then hot stuff", Tento said with a wave as he started to walk away, letting Nanashi hustle and catch up.

Nanashi paused and tilted her head slightly as she made note of Shura's rather huffy departure. Which well, she could understand being a little miffed. But to leave outright actually caught her a bit off guard. Hadn't she been intent on greeting the new bloods? She turned back to Tento and gave a sheepish smile to the officer.

"She gonna be alright?" She ventured. Admittedly having very little frame of reference as to ....well...Shura's usual behaviors. All the same, when Tento started to move, she was quick to start following, a little curious herself as to wether or not she'd get to face off against Tento. He certainly seemed like he might be a bit better to fight. That little interaction with Shura had definitely given her danger warnings, and not the same sort of warnings She HERSELF gave off. But more of a 'might murder you in a fit of rage' kind of danger sign. Comparatively, she didn't feel that sort of vibe from Tento. But then again, she had hardly seen him in action.

"So how long have you been with the Fourth Division?" She decided to ask. He certainly had the energy of someone who had been around for at least a while.

Well it seemed that Shura was not going to come to the party. A bit lame truly, even if she could not get a fight Tento had hoped she would accept his previous invitation to come along. He would have to talk to her about that later.

"Oh yeaaaah. She'll be alright, she just got her engine started and mad she can't finish. I'll go bug her later and give her something to chill her out", Tento said with a wave of a hand behind his back. Shura sure was a battle lover, like many people of the 4th. Having that as an extra factor with her though, if would make sense her being peeved not getting to fight Nanashi fully focused.

But that was later. The present was now. Qnd as the two began to walk again they had a welcoming party to get to! If spars or silly games happened during or after would be up to tell for later. And maybe Tento would get to stretch his bones out.

Hearing her question, Tento turned his head to look at her. "Ah well let's see. I guess...two years now?", he said after giving a moment of thought. "Since we are asking questions ill ask you one", atenri said while turning a corner. "Out of all the divisions, why did you decide on the combat division??".

Nanashi hummed a bit and folded her arms at the explanation. "I mean. I have no problem throwing down for a romp. some good training. You know, push someone to be stronger. But uh, I dunno. I don't really think that girl's interested in anyone but herself getting stronger. She kinda gave me weird vibes. Like one of those kids who pulls the wings off flies, kinda deal. and uh, I'm not really up to be a fly.." She noted casually enough. Certainly she had quickly determined that Shura would very possibly just maim her. And not even in the cool way by getting from two people being super rad and getting carried away!

That said, she was a little...surprised. "Two years and already a seated member! That's pretty good! I always did imagine maybe getting a seat straight out of the academy. But uhhh, well. I don't wanna hold my breath. Also I heard the new Captain is kinda ...scary?" She side eyed Tento and tilted her head a bit to the side. As if trying to get an inside scoop on the matter. Certainly the Shino had gone a little wild with the mysterious up and rising captain of the fourth. Especially after the tells of how her fight with the OLD Captain had been. A fair amount of speculation and such had prospered therein. Certainly she was getting rather comfortable talking to the man. He seemed cool and level headed. Professional even! Perhaps it was just the Shura contrast, but eh, she'd discover that later.

As Tento listened to Nanashi he kept his eyes forward partially. Tilted slightly to the aide to have his eyes present on the newest member of the 4th division while keeping an observant gaze to their environment. "Well that's good to hear. Once the social talks are done you may get tossed around as a second greeting. Hope you find some enjoyment in it", Tento said hearing her words of having no problems with a throw down. "But yeah. When it comes to Shura she does have a reputation of a loner and tunnel vision. She can be useful though at times for a challenge". He then turned his head towards her. "Ah tho...yeah. Defiantly a rough personality and concerning at times. She's good at controlling herself from doing way too much though. Least since I finally met her", he said in a quick honest assessment of his long term of service division member.

Turning literally and figuratively, he continued to speak. Continuing the light toned parts of conversation as they made themselves almost to the greeting party. "So if you don't want to be a fly what will you be? A beautiful new butterfly or a graceful fox perhaps?, Tento said in a bit of flirting distraction. Such a concern was not ideal to stress the new blood with on her first week. Let alone her first day!

As she continued to speak Tento could only give a soft knowing smile. She could not imagine getting a seated position right out of the academy eh? He was surprised when he was given the 15th seat when he joined. And it seemed her little news was not given to her yet. Well, he didn't want to spoil things thing, yet at least. Ziiiiip, was his lips. "Ah thanks. It has been sudden and overwhelming at times to be honest", Tento said with a laid back sheepish smile. "And yeah. Captain Kanae can be....heavy on the vibe side. But man with how she looks and speaks you would think she was the sweetest lady in the world". Tento said with a sheepish eye matching her side eye. A bit of knowing with how curious any new member or general member would be at the news. The shifts of leadership were quick over the last years after all. And the big show in the latest one was sure to draw the ears and excitement of rational Shino prospects. It was to be expected.

But what certainly was unexpected was how good looking this new member was. As professional he was being and laidback as ever. An eye for fine detail was always the case for him when it came to the female body. And his brain took in plenty of quick notes here and there. He did his best to hide it though.

Stopping in front of the door Tento waited for Nanashi to step besides him before be placed his hand on the wooden frame. Pushing it open with a light shove to the sounds of laughs, confetting poping and yells. "That can be continued later after you say hi to people. But for now let me be the first with the honor. Welcome to the 4th, Nanashi Gommbei. 20th seat of the combat division!!!".

Nanashi tilted her hea da bit and hummed as she listened to Tento's thoughts on the matter. She expected a little tossing. Hopefully nothing like the look Shura had been giving her before. She definitely needed to do a little...digging on that one. Certainly she was curious where such a vicious gal had sprung up from. "How long exactly HAVE you known her?" She inquired, certainly interested that the woman had had LESS self control in the past.

That said, she was ... a little surprised by the assessment of Captain Kanae. Kind and sweet certainly weren't the kind of descriptors she'd expected of the woman! All the same, she didn't have much time to really react to it. Before she knew it. she was suddenly before a large number of hew new peers, and that announcement caught her off guard. Wait, she was a seated officer?! Those eyes bugged just a little as she was suddenly off her game! and she practically disappeared into the sea of faces, some familiar, and some foreign, as she DID have a few classmates who had also joined Fourth.

It was all a little chaotic to say the least, but after a good couple minutes, Nanashi finally managed to peel off and find Tenth Seat Zefa again. A little disheveled after such an ordeal! She had been used to her classmates, but the people in this squad were strong! "Whew! Uh... ZEFA!" She promptly zeroed in on the man, puffing her cheeks a bit before giving him a leer. "You knew I was going to join as a seated officer and didn't say anything! I didn't know I was going to be working under such a cruel person!" She noted in mock indignation, certainly thrown for a loop though!
