THE BUTCHER'S SON
A cacophony of thought, almost capsizing into celebration. The support of the Kuchiki was a massive victory, regardless of how publicly he could parade it. When the chips fell...
How to use them correctly...
That would be concern for later.
"Of course." A slight nod in Byakuya's direction, as Hitoshi moved to stand. "Then let us not trouble your family further today. We will be in contact." Straightening his frame, spiderlike fingers pulled and straightened on his clothes.
"Of course, we will respond to any communication. Our ear will bend far." A bow from the porcelain man, returning to height before making his way to leave the Kuchiki estate. "We hope this will be a long and fruitful relationship."

Trust between noble houses could always end up beneficial. Unfortunately, with the changes to the noble scene and some desperate noblepersons trying hard to keep power in their clutches, Byakuya would always be wary of any deal, any negotiations, or any alliance offered by another noble house. Even he, a noble himself, knew how untrustworthy and self-interested nobles often were. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't guilty of such behaviors in the past. This agreement to work together to bolster the Rukongai, however, was something he felt he could support, as long as the general idea stayed true. He'd have to see about that...
Byakuya stood as his guest did and made sure to see him to the front door. "Good luck in recruiting other houses to this cause," Byakuya said, offering his own bow and a farewell greeting. Once his guest officially left the gates of his manor, Byakuya turned back into his home, a Mona Lisa smirk shown on his face.
