Was this the right spot? Aiko figured Sam had to be around the same area where they had met a day prior. As the beaming winter sun lowered on the grounds below, Aiko looked at the clock on her phone and saw it was noon.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Well, at least it was quiet out here. She just took in the trees, the abnormally warm temperatures, a few abandoned buildings nearby, and the birds flying in the sky. Little moments of calm like this were much needed, and she could ground herself as she thought about what the day would entail.
"Hmmmmm, I wonder if that Saburo Place even still exists...."
Muttering to herself, Aiko sighed and just sat down as she kept looking around, waiting for her to show up.

It wouldn't take a genius to know Sam was on her way. The roar of her motorcycle alone was enough to tip people off that she was closing in. Certainly Sam wasn't the least bit surprised when she sensed Aiko in the distance. Hm, not bad. She had to admit, the girl was still strange, even kinda disheveled. Her sortof .... tired and shaky look didn't do her many favors. But she seemed eager enough, it was possible that she could help the kid out. And as she slowed to a stop, Samantha parked her bike a short ways away from the woman and straightened herself up a bit, taking the moment to smile as she made not of Aiko patiently waiting.
"Glad you could make it. Ready to do a bit of exploration?" She ventured with a smile and a tilt of her head. Truth be told, she didn't really have any expectations for this place. Maybe it was still there and in full glory. Maybe it was a bit run down thanks to hollows. Or, it could be completely abandoned. Either way, she still planned on checking it out.

Well, you'd have to be deaf in one ear and can't hear out the other not to notice the roaring engine sounds of that bike. Once Aiko heard and saw that thing coming, a sigh of relief came out of the woman's lips as she was glad she made it to the right place and time. So, in light of that, she gave a gentle wave when the woman eventually stopped. https://open.spotify.com/track/23lMeIr8TBkEpHubQuhqPE
"Of course, I'm excited about it."
After tapping her chin, the woman paused before nodding and continuing.
"Well, uh, if there is anything left. I can do some urban exploration if it isn't a hole in the ground or something."
Looking at her bike, she then continued.
"Uh, question. Do you want me to ride with you or fly alongside you?"

Samantha smirked and nodded to the girl as she seemed keen non the situation. "It'll certainly help. Honestly, there's probably something we can get out of the place no matter what state it's in." She murmured, pausing and pulling out her phone to look over the texts. Smirking a little to herself. She'd done a little chatting and asking around through some old contacts the other day. And well lucky her.
"Work's actually the reason I wanted to check the place out. Someone moved to Karakura from there and wanted someone to go check it out. The place had a real hollow problem in the past, so they have been staying away for a while. But it's been so long and they haven't heard from anyone who's been at the place. They have some belongings they left behind. And so they hired me to retrieve them. Uuunder normal circumstances. I'd keep quiet about this sort of thing. But well. At this point, your're essentially going to be helping me with the job. So I figure I may as well offer. In the event that we meet any opposition and you help me take care of it. I'll give you a cut of the job money. Though don't feel too obligated. I know you're out here training and all that. But ifwe get in a little too in over our heads, don't be afraid to skip out and regroup. A little bit of pocket cash isn't worth getting yourself killed over." She advised the girl. It only felt right to let the girl they would probably be running into a bit of trouble. And well, a cut of the job money was just a courtesy. Sam was a lot of things, but she wasn't greedy.

Welp, that was all the signal she needed to begin focusing her energy on her feet, lifting herself up and levigating gently alongside Sam as she stretched out her black wings and nodded. https://open.spotify.com/track/23lMeIr8TBkEpHubQuhqPE
"Cool, cool. I can keep up easily enough with your bike."
Confident in her abilities, Aiko knew her training produced enough results to catch up to any car or truck on the highways nearby, so she wasn't too concerned about getting out of dodge if things got dicey. So, instead of being spooked, a smile came across the woman's voice as Sam continued to speak.
"That sounds spooky, so it'll probably be fun to explore."
With a somewhat happy tone, she moved her hands behind her back, nodded along with what Sam was saying, and listened about all the risks and pay for the job that she was about to do in this town.
"I always thought this world was dangerous, Sam. After the war, I just lost trust in the safety of the world, and kind of why I wanted to get a bit stronger—too many people with powers and no restraint. So, uh, it's okay. I'll fly away if it gets out of hand, but I'll try to help you if I can."
Nodding, Aiko didn't want to abandon her, but if something was way beyond her strength, it logically made sense to escape and live to see another day. So, with both of them on the same page, Aiko looked around and added:
"So, if you are ready, I guess I can lead the way...."

Well that was certainly....interesting. Sam furrowed her brows ever so slightly as Aiko have her.....strange...point of view. She wanted to just run alongside the bike? "I suppose if you prefer. But there's plenty of room on the Bike. Whatever floats your boat, kid." She noed lightly, but it was that next part that sounded so strange coming from a young woman.
Perhaps it wasn't strange. But it was more ....odd to hear it so brazenly said aloud, and in such a general sense that Sam definitely was a little more concerned. This certainly didn't sound like the view of some little girl. And for just a moment, her guard went up. Or rather, she ...ehightened her awareness of the situation just a little. The potential that this might be some illussion crossed her mind. Some hollows certainly did put on guises. But the thought passed quickly enough. Still, it was ...bizarre.
"You need to spend less time out with hollow, Kid." She noted simply before she settled back onto her bike and nodded to the eas. "If you're not gonna hop on, we can just keep a low pace. Whether or not you CAN keep up with my bike doesn't mean you should be. We don't want you exhausted before we even run into any trouble. Either way, let's get going, yea?" She ventured as she took a moment to pull out her phone and check the map again. IF they had to go slow, they'd still reach it in a good five hours. Sooner if Aiko wanted to hop on, but she wasn't in any particular hurry. This place was either fine, or it had been abandoned for some time. She didn't imagine it mattered how quickly they got there.

Aiko considered hopping on the bike as well, but it would feel awkward for her. Plus, it gave her time to get a good work out in and get her wings going. So she nodded.
"Uhm, if I get tired, I might consider~"
The woman gave a few blinks, though, when Sam mentioned something about lingering around hollows too much. Was she perhaps spending a bit too much time isolated in nature? Maybe, but she never really considered herself to hang around them a lot.
"Heh, you think?"
Scratching her chin, she continued.
"What makes you say that? I don't really hang around hollows too much."
There was a pause and then she continued.
"And I'm not a kid, I'm 25~"
After chuckling nervously, she looked back at her bike and contemplated whether she should change her mind. So, she nodded, tried to lessen her nerves, and spoke again.
"I mean, I can ride it if it gets us there faster, and you aren't bothered by it..."

"Whatever floats your boat kiddo." She noted as she adjusted her helmet and then paused to glance in the girl's direction as she got her bike ready to get moving. Taking a moment to consider the girl's response. She considered alaborating that the girl spoke a bit.... strangely for a young woman. But well, that really wasn't her job to be going through all that. "Sure you aren't. Either way, if you want to ride, hop on. Makes no difference honestly." She noted as she promptly revved up her bike. Giving Aiko a few moments to decide what she wanted to do before she promptly started to head off.
Thankfully their destination wasn't too far away.
As they rode out, either with Aiko at her back, or flying alongside, the landscape shifted slowly around them as they made their way along the road. A nice steady transition, until the place they were looking for slowly crested the horizon. A veritable dark little spot at first, but one that slowly swelled to show what it really was. That place that had been cut off. From afar you really couldn't tell how it was faring, and well there was no trqaffic going in or out. Only the rumble of the bike itself broke the otherwise dead silent landscape. Same of course, didn't pay it much mind and continued to ride toward the place. A Nice long ride one that would, ultimately, finally come to an end at the front gates.
Same would slowly settle her bike down to a little crawl as she ... surveyed the outter walls. It wasn't a huge thing. Nothing like what Karakura itself had. A barrier which fully separated them from the inside of the place. And reaching out with her reikaku, Samantha couldn't sense anything. But well, they wouldn't know for sure until they got in there.
"Ever heard of the buddy system?" She ventured as she dismounted her ride.

Not protesting anymore at this point, Aiko just made up her mind and decided to jump on the back of the bike with Sam. Throwing her hesitation aside, she let out a soft sigh and let the woman start the bike so they could begin their adventure. As they started to drive off in the distance, her nerves eased for a bit as it was for the best they did this so she could converse some of her energy.
Still, even in the silence, Aiko smiled and enjoyed the scenery. The further they went away from the hustle and bustle of the city toward the outlands where Saburo City was, the more this sense of calm entered Aiko because it was so quiet, empty, and peaceful to her. Some people may find this eerie, but sometimes being alone in places like this brings serenity.
Regardless, Aiko's attention was locked on the walls ahead of them once they stopped. You never knew what might pop out of these, so her energy was passively ready to go at any moment.
"Hmmmmmm. If I understand it right, it's where we work together as one and try to monitor and help each other through dangerous areas, right? If so, I got your back if you got me."
With a nod and a smile, Aiko started to levitate and keep behind Sam as she continued to survey the area and make sure nothing crazy jumped out at them.

Sam raised a brow slightly as Aiko gave her respone, only to smile just a bit. This was .... certainly an unusual girl. There were a lot of things about Aiko that frankly were ....weird and concerning. HEr general cadence was very jarring, but still, the girl's rather innocent and vague response about the buddy system was .... adorably close, but not quite there.
"Not quite. It's a simple system. You stick with your buddy. Whenever you go into or leave an area, you ensure that you do so with your buddy. No exploration, no quick little trips, if you ever get separated, you check with your buddy. we have eachothers phone numbers, so if we get separated we can call. But you were pretty close." She noted as she made her way toward the wlal itself. A brief moment to look along it's edge before reaching in and gently running her fingers over the surface. She drew a small sigil with her finger before promptly lines HISSED into the door itself, burning clean through the metal itself as the Spell cut a door through the wall, leaving a soft orange glow along the edges. She frowned and .... pressed a bit more firmly, causing that glow to BRIGHTEN before finally the metal slid down and thunked onto the ground.
"A bit thicker than I expected." She noted, peeking through and slowly slipping in through the opening she'd made.
Inside, the place was a ghost town. The ruins of what had once been a rather large town showing through the doorway. Dark and seemingly desolate. Abandoned? Hmmm. It was hard to tell. Sam took a moment to look around, then looked over her shoulder, making sure that Aiko was with her before she began walking down the main street infront of them.
"If you see anything looking like a drug store or a hospital let me know." She murmured. No guarentee there would be much, but it always helped to give those places a once-over.
