Frankly, he wasn't surprised that someone didn't have a whole lot to say about all of that exposition. It was a unusually deep conversation for him, but, hey, the fact that he listened at all was more than enough. So, he just smiled, chuckling lightly as he lightly punched Sora's shoulder.

"Yeah, Van's fine. Buncha people call me that anyhow."

Sora mentioned that job opportunity, and Van gave him a nod. He was confident that Rita would be able to find something for him. Hell, she had brought in guys like him and Kenichi, so, it wasn't too outlandish. He took Sora's phone as it was offered, putting in his contact information and calling it, pulling his own phone out to show him before handing Sora his back.

"Don't worry, we'll get somethin' worked out for you. Even if that somehow doesn't work out, I can look around and keep you updated. Have a good night, man."

He slipped his phone into his pocket, taking out his wallet and finishing off his drink. He flipped through his wallet and pulled out a handful of cash, surprisingly neat and folded as he set it down, only to notice the additional bills. That sneaky little shit -- he'd pay him back at some point, but, for now, Van just paid the amount, plus a pretty decent tip, giving the bartender a wave and left to go back to his hotel.
