"Mmmmmmm, I wouldn't blame that stiffness on being a shinigami. That's all on you, sissy."
After giving a jovial snort, she continued.
"But yes, it's good to hear you want to loosen up a bit, as that's no way for a Suika to live."
Once Ibiki patted Shuten on the back, the goblin shinigami eventually decided that her sister was right, and they needed to go out and smell the fresh air. There was no point in them being stuck in this house that was taking up much of their energy, as staying indoors in such a dark place just drained the soul.
So, in one motion, she grabbed Shuten, sat her up, and then stretched as she wrapped her arm around her shoulder and started walking toward the door.
"C'mon, c'mon. Let's get the hell out of here and get something to eat. I know the barracks have some damn good chow to wake our spirits up."
And with no room to protest, Iibki nodded her head forward, made her way to the exit, opened the door, and eventually arrived at a small shack serving all sorts of ramen, booze, and other sweet treats. By this point, she hoped Shuten was still around and opted for her to sit and order their food.
"Sit, sit~ Tell me what you want, sis. Nothing is too expensive for my little Shuten~"

Ah... that was true. Shuten's stiffness was honestly on her, and not on those of the Gotei; even if some things did make one feel like they needed to be stiff here and there. Not to mention, Shuten sometimes had a really bad habit of getting more formal than necessary. However a bit of time with her sister was enough to lighten Shuten's mood considerably, and work wonders on the Suika's once tight attitude as she smiled warmly at her big sister at what she said; even if she was agreeing to something a little frustrating.
"You're right, sis... I need to work on that. I haven't really let myself go a bit in a while... And yes, let's. I'm done with this dreary place."
As Shuten was about to slip off Ibiki's lap, she found it even more embarrassing to find that she had been lifted off her sibling's lap by Ibiki herself and placed upon the floor; her pale cheeks gaining a gentle pink shade as she followed her sister out of her living quarters. And, indeed, the barracks were quite plentiful in great food... Albeit, Shuten was also kinda hoping to get out of the Seireitei too. Perhaps they could do that after a meal.
Upon arrival, and with Shuten carrying her gourd with her because she refused to let herself and Ibiki drink anything of lesser quality than Suika sake, Shuten had sat down next to her sister, tilting her head a tiny bit at the menu before her. She did speak of having Ramen... and they did have the best quality ramen in stock currently. Shuten waffled a tiny bit, deciding what to have until Shuten heard Ibiki speak, to order anything she wanted... and that nothing was too expensive for her little Shuten. No matter how much experience the Suika had with such things, it never ceased to bring a blush to her face to be called that; and it certainly didn't fail now as Shuten's face glowed red. However, despite the reddened glow, she was smiling broadly. Really, Ibiki did know how to cheer her up.
After a small bit, Shuten looked up at her sister, shades of pink still very present in her pale features as she pointed to the bottom of the Ramen list; and smiled warmly.
"I'll have this ramen, Sis. What do you want? I'll pay, okay? It's only fair if you pay for my meal and your own as well, I want to pay for yours. And I'm not taking no for an answer~"
Shuten smiled warmly and then whipped out her sake dish, filling it and taking a drink; setting it between herself and Ibiki so they could share it. After all, Shuten didn't have many extras, and she didn't care about sharing such a thing either; especially because it was her elder sister. And, indeed, Shuten refused to take no for an answer. She was going to pay for her sister's meal, much like Ibiki was paying for Shuten's meal, and she wasn't going to move on that point... after all, she had to show her gratitude to Ibiki in some way other than giving her a huge hug later in the day... And a gourd full of Shuten's best booze.

Once they settled in, Big Miss Ibiki kicked back the drink Shuten offered into her throat and felt more waves of warm relaxation hitting her body. The potency of the Suika's liquor was second to none. When you put that amount of spiritually potent energy into your drink, its effects on the body are wonderful. You get to feel renewed, hangovers are non-existent, and it's good for their body like the poor bastards this poison breaks down.
Ah, the luxuries of being supernatural freaks, eh?
Regardless, Ibiki was happy to see the likes of Shuten livening up, and she smacked her hard with a firm grip and laughed.
"That's more like it! Not taking no for an answer and moving ahead no matter what is the Suika way."
After speaking, her eyes drifted back to a large bowl in front of her. It looked like it could feed a family of three, but Ibiki was a big girl with big girl needs as this bowl consisted of ramen, pork, egg, and all the many different spices that made the plate good. So, without hesitation, she started digging in and gave no care about how she may have looked. All that mattered was stuffing her face, enjoying the solid meaty flavor, and kicking back a bit as she sighed, leaned back, and looked over at Shuten.
"Yanno, sissy, ya can't cling to me forever. I'm here for ya, and we can always talk and I'm enjoying things right now, but I'm concerned for ya."
Following Ibiki stretching her arms out, The Older Suika patted her sister's shoulder and continued.
"Tell me, ya got any interesting people in your life or something? I don't want you to become a reclusive weirdo."

Frankly speaking, if not for the fact they were in public, Shuten was tempted to break out the sake she normally saved just for them; distilled as pure as could possibly be done for even Suika, but still maintaining that aromatic scent and flavor without killing the taste. Frankly speaking, as strong as it was, it was a marvel it tasted so good. However, Shuten stuck to her every day drinking sake. She planned to go home with Ibiki tonight, and perhaps they could share many drinks into the night before they finally came to a rest. However, Shuten's attention was soon broken by their food, and by the questions Shuten laid upon her. The Suika blinked, her chopsticks halfway to her open mouth, the ramen she held upon them, and upon the spoon she had, momentarily forgotten. She blinked at her elder sister. It was a difficult question, especially because Shuten definitely still clung to Ibiki like she was a much younger being; in both respects. She frowned somewhat, carefully eating the ramen she had momentarily stopped eating; giving herself time to think.
The sad answer was... the one person she did have in her life was gone, and keeping up relations with her, even with visits, made it very hard indeed...
"In a way, I do... But, sadly, she moved up to Zero Division a bit ago. That has made things rather... constrained, to be honest. Aside from that, not in truth. And I know I can't cling to you forever, sis... Even if part of me wants to because it's easier and far more fun, truthfully. But the rest of me knows I can hide in your shadow, not anymore."
Shuten gently took the hand and arm that Ibiki had stretched out, and placed it on her head instead; her desire and intents clear. She much preferred her sister to pat her on the head than on the shoulder... it felt better, more reassuring.
"I don't think I want to turn into a reclusive weirdo either, Sis. Things keep changing, and in some ways that I do not enjoy. Besides, while I can't cling to you, I'd still love to see the world with you... Without restraints, as we Suika are and always shall be. But, perhaps I can find someone in time, and we, or perhaps I, will travel the world... Right now, though? I need a raucous Suika party back home, some quality time with by big sis, and a whoooole lot of sake~"
Shuten gave Ibiki a big smile, which was a tiny bit crooked despite her intentions. But, it wasn't a bad smile, just more mischievous and playful; but she soon let it fade in favor of drinking her sake, and eating her ramen. There was nothing prim or proper about it... Even if Suika knew proper etiquette, why fucking bother? But, Shuten at least did try not to eat too crazily... she was with her big sister, after all. Then again, Ibiki would likely be okay with it if Shuten was even less civilized. However, some habits just don't die that easily, after all~

Ibiki ran her hand through the hair of Shuten as she nodded her head, listened to what her younger sibling had to say, and agreed in some aspects. As it was nice to see that her sister was beginning to understand she needed to grow outside of herself, seek people beyond her family, and explore some of the worlds to get a better grasp on herself.
"Oi, who said anything about me going anywhere? You can always come to your big sis-Ibiki if you need something. I just meant you need balance in your life between family ,friends, seeing the world and figuring out who you are beside what rank you have in the Gotei. I'll be here for you regardless of whatever you decide to do, you goof."
Chortling with a hard laugh, Ibiki ruffled her hair before nodding and smiling.
"But yes, let's have some more to drink~."
And without hesitation, Ibiki pulled out her own gourd, filled a dish for Shuten, and offered it to her to further loosen the strain of sober thought.

Shuten's eyes had briefly closed as Ibiki ran her hand through Shuten's purple hair, giving the Suika a reason to hum pleasantly after she had finished speaking; and also giving Shuten a good reason to listen to everything her big sister said to her. With a little bit of processing, and a swift mouthful of ramen to give her thinking time, Shuten soon smiled at Ibiki once again, nodding as she fully understood her sister's words.
"You have a good point there, Ibiki. We both know I went a bit too hard on work... I'll work on it sis, starting with a weekend back home~"
Shuten smiled warmly at the ruffling of her hair before attacking to her food with gusto. However, the appearance of her sister's sake definitely distracted her. With a small blink, and a large grin, the Suika took the sake dish and grinned a thanks at her sister before taking a drink. Ahh... Shuten's sake might be excellent by all standards, but Shuten always strives to make Sake as good as her sister's. The aroma alone was intoxicating enough, then came the smooth flavor, and all the other perks of a Suika drink. Being used to her own sake, Ibiki's sake always gave her system a pleasant shock. Warmth permeated her body as she ingested the pleasantly flavored alcohol. After what was most certainly a big drink, Shuten hummed as she enjoyed the aftereffects of such potent Suika drink.
"Ahh~ That's the good shit, Sis~ Here, I've been saving this for a rainy day..."
Shuten did indeed do as she was tempted now, some inhibitions lost as she pulled out a smaller gourd of sake. Upon uncorking the gourd, a strong scent gently permeated the air around the two Suika as Shuten carefully poured the sake into a dish; offering it to her older sister.
"Just about the best sake I can make, sis~ While it still can't make us shitfaced any faster, I did my best to give it the best of flavors and potency~ We may just get a bit wilder a bit faster than normal! I hope it's to your tastes, sis~"

Good. Shuten was starting to become higher in spirits. Hehehe, and in more ways than one as well. As it seemed, Shuten felt Ibiki's liquor was strong in nature, given the rich and flaming touch of her spiritual energy infused into every drop of the soulful alcohol.
"Careful, my stuff will have you knocked out on your ass, Shuten~."
After chortling again with laughter, Ibiki grinned and took another hard hit of her liquor and felt more of that burning relief hit her chest and produce such tranquil and relaxing flows of peace within herself. As far as the Suika was concerned? Not a damn thing could bother her, not even if Satan himself was charging down the road to impale her in the heart.
So, when Shuten started being concerned about offering her alcohol to Ibiki, she raised an eyebrow before laughing again.
"Don't worry about it. Drinking isn't about getting shitfaced. It's about taking in the unique flavor of each drink, enjoying good company, and having a new experience with people. It's like getting to know someone and taking in their entire essence to me."
Without hesitation, Ibiki took the dish Shuten offered and started to taste its sweet, soft, and cool nature enter her body. Unlike Ibiki's, this one didn't burn, but it wasn't a bad feeling. No. This candy-like taste reflected the delicate nature of her younger sister and was fitting as she giggled.
"Yep, your drink is as sweet as you, sis. Thank you for such a delicious dish!"

Shuten knew that expressly, such reasons were why Shuten didn't take frequent drinks of Ibiki's own sake. It was a wonderful flavor, and it warmed her entire being; but its strength was clear in the way it caused Shuten to feel the tiniest of a buzz from just one large swig alone. The little Suika giggled softly, humming pleasantly as she imbibed a sip of her elder sister's sake, warmth causing her to throat, and skin, to tingle oddly. She let out one more relaxed sigh before the Suika smiled at her elder sister, glad for the compliment. It was, in all truth, intended to be her strongest brew, even if she could just casually use her powers to distill an even stronger sake at will; but the true signature of it was indeed the flavor that Shuten managed to distill into it. She grinned at her big sis, blushing a small amount but she still glowed with pride as her sister complimented her dish.
"Thanks, Ibiki. That means a lot, really~ I'll gladly brew as much as you like, sis~ I may need to invent a new drink just for you though! Maybe this weekend we can figure that out, Sis."
Shuten grinned a tiny bit at her sister before taking one last vicious attack upon her food in order to fill her stomach, and completely empty the bowl before her. Then, without really thinking about what she was doing, Shuten jumped over the table in a very brief brazen action, settled in next to her sister, moved their sake dishes closer together and then proceeded to grab hold of her sister's arm; hugging it greedily for a few moments before she simply leaned against her shoulder, turning her attentions to the sake.
"Got a request for a specific drink, sis~? If Suidōmaru is willing, we can create whatever your taste-buds desire~! After all, what kinda sake Oni would I be if I couldn't brew on request~?"
Frankly speaking, it was easy to say that Shuten was far more relaxed now than ever. Openly displaying her affection for her sister was more than enough of a giveaway. However, the Suika did drag her gourd a bit closer, carefully shaking the corked contents and smiled at her sister; ready to create whatever drink she wished to have at the moment. After all, why bother with just a few drinks? They were Suika! May as well have em all on hand~

Well, Shuten was finding herself more comfortable. That was a great thing to see as, bit by bit, Ibiki was crushing through that fog of woe, despair, and just self-pitying crap. This is why Shuten earned another head pat from the elder Suika as she took another slurp of her own meat bowl and let the rich flavors of her liquor and meal relax her stomach.
"Nah. Surprise me, sis. Indulge me in something unique to you and create a drink that you feel I'd enjoy."
That was the fun in life, wasn't it? Trying new things always made these experiences and moments have more impact. When you experience something new with someone, the bond grows more profound, and these memories become richer later in life.

Surprise her? Well shit. That made things a tiny bit more difficult. She peered at her sister, growing almost completely still and silent as she studied the woman next to her; taking in what she knew about her sister at a slow pace. What her favorite flavors was, the taste and potency of her sake, Shuten's own aromatic sake... The Suika took a few moments long before she turned her attention towards her gourd, Suidomaru briefly shimmering into existence as she, and Shuten, placed their hands on the sake gourd. With the gentle application of Shuten's own powers, and an amount of Reiatsu, Shuten distilled something new, just for her sister. It didn't take terribly long before the gourd had simply been filled to the brim with the new sake. A gentle swirl, the popping of a cork, and Shuten gently poured the new concoction into her own sake dish; where she took a test sip.
The intention was to create a drink that combined her sister's own potent alcohol with the aromatic flavors of Shuten's alcohol; creating a rather potent array of flavors that, while tasted excellent, could knock someone on their ass if they indulged too heavily, even for a Suika. Shuten frowned at the sake briefly, quietly judging the liquid before she offered the sake dish to her sister, giving her a rosy smile.
"Try it, and tell me what you think. I want you to guess what it could be, I don't wanna tell ya~ I hope it's to your liking, sis."
Shuten waited patiently to see how Ibiki would react to such a concoction. Truly, it wasn't like the sake tasted bad, it tasted quite amazing, actually. Because of Shuten's powers, she was able to mix the flavors just right, so that they sang together instead of crashing and burning; all the while doing her best to convey the burning warmth of Ibiki's potent sake. It definitely wasn't something she would do all the time, but it was probably going to be something she made for Ibiki often if she liked it. So, still, Shuten hoped quietly that her sister would approve of her sudden, but hopefully delicious, concoction.
