Admittedly, Shishiyuki felt a touch conflicted on the matter of what had just been told to her, but her eyes gave little away. She had not particularly wished to request a position of such high rank, given it made her feel as though she had not earned it. But, at the same time, she was aware the position of Vice Captain was ultimately a matter of who the Captain wished. She knew that Elyss would not be the sort to give her the position out of any deference or obligation. After a bow of thanks, Shishiyuki grinned confidently, meeting her Captain's gaze.

"Very well, Captain. I look forward to working with you in such a capacity."

The humility of the last thousand years told her that she ought not accept, that this was too much for just returning to the Gotei. But she would not abide that anymore. She knew perfectly well that she was competent, and a remarkably skilled Shinigami. Avoidance of such a role would be foolish, to say nothing of disrespectful to her Captain.
