Red, Blood Red [Elyss, Izumi]

Now why did she always get hit with the boring jobs. What a drag this was. The painter was dressed up like a good shinigami but lazily put together, she really didn't care too much about looking the most uptight of shinigami. Everyone was so black and white, the uniformity was boring that's why a little bit of cleavage spiced up a uniform.

Still, she wandered around aimless in the seventh division. Where was someone to hand off this report that she had no idea was contained in it. They just said take it to seventh. She met a red-headed guy who reminded her of a familiar face, maybe he was her brother or something. He told her to take it to someone who was a seated officer so he was pretty useless.

Damn. She wished she was painting right now.

"Oh! Elyss."

She was oddly delighted, it was like the place had just become a lot brighter for her. Izumi was elated to see someone that brought her such muse and inspiration. Even from memory she still did sketches and paintings of the woman in different ways.

"I've sketched a lot since we saw each other last. Check this out, they're not painted yet."

Izumi may have had the reports on her but they were on her book of various sketches which were yet to be painted. The artist brought one of the pages out to showcase it. The silhouette of what looked to be a woman surrounded in flames and demonic in a stylistic sense.

"What do you think? It looks pretty good."

"A stylistic one of you, yes."

Izumi did pout though at Elyss not being dazzled or especially impressed by her artwork. It was such a different reaction than what she was used to but there was something that aroused that ambition in her, if she could make Elyss experience the ideal of her passion and reason for being an artist then she had surely achieved her goals and more.

"I guess there's these reports here too."

The unseated shinigami continued while getting the reports and handing them to the captain. This was by no means what she considered the highest priority in her head right now but it was one less burden to carry. These reports were second in importance to any piece of art that she could show Elyss.

Yeah, she was really dedicated to her job... as an artist! Izumi was already trailing behind Elyss even before she finished talking about being able to show off more of her works in her office. Izumi was absolutely jubilant at the idea of being able to show off more of her art.

"Okay, what have you been up to lately? Anything fun and exciting?"

Izumi may have expressed an interest in what Elyss had been up to however she was certainly more interested in what inspiration she could get out of the redhead. This woman was walking inspiration after all for her and her works, even that Lord Sawachika was in awe at Elyss' nude portrait.

"Eh!?"

Of course she cared! She cared for all the wrong reasons to Elyss but Izumi cared about hearing what Elyss had to say and take in every detail of it. It made her run just a little bit faster to keep up with her while grabbing at her book to begin flipping through the assorted pieces and drafts.

"What do you mean, I definitely care!"

While Elyss sat down at her desk, the artist took a seat on the desk and kept on flipping through to try and figure out which ones would appeal to Elyss. Maybe them all! One of these would surely bring her some kind of reaction from the art.
