Well.

There had been many things Shishiyuki had anticipated from this shared moment between the two of them. Any number of touches, pleasant words, certainly, but that had been quite far from her mind. Love? She had never once considered words such as that in a thousand years of life, except for toward her dearest family. But here she was, hearing it spoken directly to her, and her mind suddenly raced to come up with a response before she took too terribly long to do so.

Did she find that disagreeable? Well, no, she supposed she didn't. It was welcome, really, and that made her all the more assured of what she ought to say. Now it was just a matter of actually responding. She was not good with words, and so she supposed the only way to respond was to be forward, honest, direct.
