Rainy Days Among The Countryside [Saisei x Khaana]

Saisei Satō | A Dream Realized
Thick and cold droplets smacked against the Sicilian town of Enna. Its sidewalks filled with the hustle and bustle of townsfolk going about their day, doing this or that. It was yet another Sunday afternoon, Saisei spending his time outside of the Vanetti manor helping whoever needed it. He had grown accustomed to his time here in Enna, spending a majority of it working of course. That was par for the course for the young man, life wouldn't be the same if he wasn't spending it working.
Today, the same as everyday, didn't happen to be any interesting. Saisei was spending it on the side of a nearby shop in the town square. He had just finished meeting up with the shop owner of the grocery store in hopes of talking about payment for the Vanetti. If he came out on his own it was a lot easier for him to get people to cough up whatever they owed. Given his reputation, they were far more personable with him than any of the Vanetti family members.
"Sure is a wet one out here today" muttered the young man. Putting his hand above his eyes, Saisei peered out into the street to take in the townsfolk littering the square. It was getting about that time for him, lunch was the only thing he really had on his mind it seemed. Unfortunately, he still had quite a bit of work ahead of him.
Stepping away from the grocer and into the street, Saisei yanked at his hood and looked around. The pitter patter of steps across the wet pavement left him filled with a sense of joy almost. It was nice seeing people enjoy themselves even on a rainy Sunday.
Shaking his wet pink locks free of the rain that littered his head, Saisei gave a stretch and yawn towards the sky before sheepishly going about his day.
"Bit of a quiet day for Enna. Might finally get that day off that I've been cravin'."
Though hopeful, Saisei knew better than to make assumptions. Always best to stay on your toes, especially for a guy like him. Collections first, then a nap later. That sounded just fine to him.

Today was a good day. She was synced well with her body, and she was actually able to enjoy both of her eyes. Gently rubbing at the spot that at times was either a blank canvas or an empty slot, she blinked a few times and smiled to herself. Gosh it was weirrd to have full depth perception sometimes. All the same, she was in a pretty good mood! One of her Events had brought her to ITALY of all places! Language! Culture! Pizza! Her eyes were lit up with excitement as she strode through the streets. She didn't have her usual combat bodysuit on. After all, the event had necessitated that she wear a skirt, and so the thing was packed up and stored in her bag. For the time being, she wore a short skirted red sundress and a black shrug to compliment the look. And of course her usual black nylons and shoes. She even had done her eyeliner a bit darker than usual for the event, the fans had certainly enjoyed it. Honestly sometimes she felt more like some kinda Idol than just a streamer, but that was just how it was. At least she wasn't owned by some company.
All the same, the event was over and now she was just enjoying the town! A little black umbrella in hand as she walked through the streets. It was a nice place, didn't seem too insane or busy, or dead quiet and creepy. It was.... just a nice place to walk through, humming happily to herself as she made her way across the street and eyed the surrounding area. Keen on finding some way to entertain herself. and THAT ....is when it hit her.
That flash of pink hair. The calm, carefree look on his slightly dumb face. Well ok, no he didn't look dumb, but still! Khaana had been an avid fan of anime for what felt like her whole goddamn life. She KNEW a protagonist when she saw one. And she was struck by just how much she spotted that flash of pink, and the look on this man's face.... and HOW much it just screamed: I'm gonna be important someday. And not in the grabby, desperate-for-attention way that SOME people with funky hair looked. Holy shit, he was...PERFECT! It was so striking.
That, and the bus.
WHAP! A bus that had been turning the corner and hadn't seen her STILL transfixed int eh middle of the road dind't stand a chance at stopping. All at once, Khaana's world spun as she was hit by a minimum wage bus driver trying to get to the next stop on time so his boss didn't chew him out again. A NUMBER of Gasps rang out through the area as Khaana was promptly knocked over and THUMP! YEP! That sure was the first tire popping over her frame! Yep. That was ....the sound of several of this damn Gigai's bones snapping as she was promptly run over, that spike of pressure as she felt the wheel try to compress her organs, and of course, the flex of muscle that BARELY kept her from having them crushed!
A few people screamed, and immediately, the bus screeched to a stop as the wheel was warped out of shape against her own jarring kneejerk reaction to being run over! She wasn't strong enough to say, LIFT the bus, but she WAS strong enough to twist the wheel as she was run over. God, DAMMIT! "I'm okay...m'okay. Erk... one sec..." She tried to grunt out to the few people who had rushed in to check on what happened, MOST people keeping their distance in a sortof crowded circle, and of course, the bus driver attempting to get the door open, but alas, the frame had also been slightly warped. Khaana of course was still trying to figure out where the fuck she was, was this a CAR? No it seemed too big to be a Car. Ugh.

Saisei Satō | A Dream Realized
Saisei tried his best to feel a bit carefree for a change, Enna was always full of surprises and that led him to struggle with relaxing. Relaxation meant your guard was down, letting your guard down meant things would go wrong. That's just the way of the world, he thought. And, to nobodies surprise, he was immediately met with confirmation on his own doubts of the world. Enna was too easily overtaken by even the smallest of issues, it just so happens that whatever this particular issue was, it was a whole lot bigger than they were used to.
There was a thud, the sound of what could on be described as blood-curdling screams from onlookers and the immediate beeping of horns in the town square. It seemed, to no one's surprise, the day had gone from simple and boring to stressful and filled with worry. Saisei had looked away from the scene of the accident only moment's before it had happened, the last thing he remembered being a bus of sorts barreling down the main road. He hadn't see anyone out in the street but it was pretty hard to keep an eye on everyone when it seemed so damned crowded here in the square. In a knee jerk reaction, as always, Saisei's body moved on its own as he fought his way through a throng of people.
Fighting through to the other side, the young man finally laid eyes on the scene at hand. My god, he thought. Saisei wasn't all that religious but he couldn't help but think the worst from this situation. Frankly, it was a bigger mess than Enna ever found itself in and he noted that as he pointed towards the crowd and yelled.
"One of y'all need to call an ambulance, I'm not really sure what the hell is goin' on but it doesn't look that great." He waved away the crowd in hopes that they'd do as he said. His reputation made it pretty easy for folks to get the picture almost immediately, an older couple pulled out their cellphones and started immediately getting to work. In the meantime, Saisei dropped to a knee and brushed his hands against the edge of the bus. Underneath was a woman, relatively small in stature and wearing an outfit not suitable for a rainy day, not to Saisei at least. Adrenaline had kicked in for him at this point, his mind racing with only one thought, that he had to do something.
"Alright, alright. You okay? You gushin' out blood anywhere? You did a number on that tire, can't imagine you're comin' out of this any better than it."
The young man jerked his thumb towards the tire before he gave a cheeky but worried smile to the girl right below him. His face showed the severity of the situation, at the very least how severe everyone around them felt it was. Saisei knocked on the door of the bus before waving the driver away, motioning for him to back up. Leaning forward to cover what little of the girl was exposed from under the bus, he shouldered the door hard enough to leave it ajar for the driver to escape and to send the bus just far enough to uncover a majority of the girl's body.
"C'mon now." Saisei moved a bit closer into the girl, stretching his arm out as if to offer it to her in hopes she'd latch on. "You able to move? We 'oughta get you to the town hospital." That smile cheeky smile filled his worry filled face before he motion towards his arm again. Saisei couldn't tell the extent of her injuries and wasn't going to sit around to figure it out for himself. If the ambulance took long enough he would just run her there if need be. Better to take things slow, though. Don't want to scare her into shock. Lucky enough to be alive, he thought.
"How the hell'd you get ran over? Didn't anyone teach you to look both ways when you crossed the street?"

Guh.... it took her a moment to realize she was being talked to. She was focused on moving some of the internal flesh around inside of her. Pushing the bones back together and fusing it together. Thankfully nothing had been GOUGED out, so just moving and adjusting would be enough to fix herself. But ho ho boy, did she get an interesting sight when she looked up to the one who was hovering over her. She stared, blinking before she realized. SHE KNEW IT! She KNEW he had main character vibes! Internally she was squealing excitedly, BUT NOT EXTERNALLY! Of course not, a true tsundere would not show her true feelings! Come on Khaana you've been preparing for this your whole life! You can do it, SWEEP him off his feet! This is your chance to make a first impression that will grab this guy's heart!
"Ow....." She managed to groan out. Disappointed in herself immediately as she looked around. Shit, she really WAS still under the bus. "I'm alright. Ngh... I'm gonna be fine, just got surprised. I was....distracted." She managed to grunt out, having barely realigned her bones, it would be a minute or two before she could heal it. She glanced at the wheel and her eyes widened. SHIT! She didn't want this guy to think she was some kinda freak! Or wait.....would that add to her mysterious allure? Shit, she wished she had her anime on hand to sort through. What was she supposed to DO?
Oh! She perked up and glanced skyward to see Saisei leaning over her. Briefly, she glanced up, eyeing his physique before JOLTING a bit when he shoved the WHOLE fucking bus! Holy shit! Her eyes were wide when he looked back down to her. A little surprised. She was a goddamn FREAK in strength, but SHE would have had trouble shoving a vehicle THAT big! Her eyes shifted to the offered arm. She paused, before she reached out and gently took a hold of it. "I.." But the sound of the ambulance in the distance caused her to turn her head. And she tensed up. She ....did not want to get seen by a doctor. The LAST thing she needed was for this to become a big story. This kind of attention would be bad for her image. God dammit Khaana why did you let yourself get so distracted?!
She pulled herself up, shakily yo her feet, and winced, the rain making her wince. "My umbrella...." She grunted before looking around, and spotting it crumpled up next to where she'd been. Well, so much for staying dry. "I.... don't need a hospital I'm fine." She tried to insist, her brain racing to try and figure out how she was going to get herself through this one. She gently gripped his arm a bit tighter and leaned in, whispering. "I'm not human...." She noted urgently, hoping that would be enough to convey that she didn't want to get checked out in a way he might understand. SURELY a guy THIS strong would be used to this right? He was the protagonist! No way would he NOT know about spirit shiz!
