Psychological Analysis
Ojo is nothing if not a sociable individual. She carries herself in a manner that is always approachable, yet, also undefinable. It’s impossible to tell what mood she is in, though she sports the ability to change her personality on the fly. Only those that really know Ojo will catch the subtle truths about how she’s actually feeling behind her mad or happy facades. The ruses she pulls exist mainly because of her youth where she was always reprimanded for the ease at which she wore her emotions which usually meant she was getting into trouble for issues regarding her actions against others. The fact about her remains, she is an easily excitable woman who finds enjoyment in chasing after anything that catches her eye. She moves with a dangerous grace when something she wants is involved, a provocative seriousness that is almost uncanny when compared to her everyday lifestyle. Her works are also something she finds valuable. It’s not about if she wants to do something or not. It’s about doing her tasks in such a way that she’ll be bothered by them again. Ojo hates being bothered about something that should have already been handled, and with that in mind, Ojo hates having to always remind her brother to take care of himself. Maybe her biased behavior is fueled by her familiar responsibilities, but she can’t help but feel unnerved by incompetence in any form. Of course, she doesn’t gripe about it in front of others, but, behind the scenes, she is sure to leave a mess out of agitation.
Now, Ojo doesn’t gripe, but she is quick to point out mistakes. It comes quickly and she only hits the main points. Someone does something incorrectly, she corrects them and moves on. Everyone gets only a few chances before Ojo is done with them. She works tirelessly to keep herself in a certain shape and expects similar from others. That is just the woman she is. Her pretty face and carefree attitude are all but a simple mirage to make sure she’s never seen as a tyrant to her own peers.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
All Ojo knew was her brother before joining the Academy. Even as an infant, Ojo knew nothing about herself because Kazuya never related tales of their clan to her. It was almost like he was ashamed to speak about them. Yet, Ojo found herself different from other kids with no explanation as to why. For starters, she was picked on for her horns that sprouted from her head early on in her life. Of course, she was not the only soul with such features, but kids were always quick to point out differences amongst themselves. This gave birth to Ojo’s complex about her looks and such, but besides that point, it also gave root to her aggressive behavior.
She was not one to take insults lightly, especially when her brother was involved. Due to her lineage, it was easy for her to be consumed by anger and snap at anyone and everyone who crossed her path in a fashion she did not particularly like. Her brother tried many different ways to quell her growing aggression with those around her, but even he could not deny Ojo her growing strength. As she grew older, her body naturally developed power on its own. She ate a lot, had unstable emotions, and constantly caused problems wherever she went. It became such a problem that her brother finally broke down and told her the truth about her existence.
It was at that point that she was also trained in the arts of her clan to help her understand and control her strength. Though she was incapable of developing the same technique as her brother, she was able to quickly learn the basics of their clan’s special fighting style. It was easy for her because of how she lived her life, always taking care of her brother which gave her a slight edge when it came to focus and temperament. It also helped that her aggressive nature worked perfectly with how their clan fought. However, as Ojo learned all she could from her brother, she became even more restless. Seeing how her brother learned little due to his passiveness, she could not help but feel as if she was being shorthanded.
This is what eventually led to her joining the Academy where she learned how to better harness herself and evolve the bare lessons she received from her brother. She was a hard-working student who was able to do practically anything she put her mind to. She wasn’t better than anyone at anything in particular. She simply studied and trained until she understood everything that she was required to know. The only aspect of herself that was truly different was the unique way she fought. After gaining her Zanpakuto, Ojo was forced to develop herself. Combining her clan’s fighting style and her own martial arts, she did just that.
She began working, bonding with her Ausachi while training, and, eventually, she gained her actual Zanpakuto. More problems arose as she was now forced to lug around a sword bigger than herself, but she figured that this was nothing more than another hurdle. They do say the blade is but a reflection of oneself, and that means that her big personality is paying off. With that mindset, she worked hard to develop anything interesting and unique, putting together something of a fine display with what she had to work with. However, far from a true elite warrior, she has created a strong basis to grow from along with her Zanpakuto during her remaining time in the Academy before graduating.
Graduation found her being placed in the stealth division, but that was mainly because she preferred it. Her brother did not like the fact that she would work as such a secretive agent, but she didn’t really care. She still takes care of him enough, so she doesn’t let his worries get to her. Besides, the way Ojo saw it, if you’re handling classified information and such, you might as well handle it properly. Though, it is all also an act as well. Her brother won’t share details about their past, so she has to find her own way to get that information. What better way than using the division who specializes in such?
POWERS AND ABILITIES
Suika Strength: Being a race known for being barbaric at times and used to harsh environments, Ojo is simply genetically better when it comes to manual labor when compared to other races. Of course, that matters little when it comes to one training themselves and growing stronger, but Ojo has trained her body just as much as anyone else. Her strength, for her size is something to marvel at, for the small woman has shown she is capable of going toe to toe with people twice her size with startling ease. She has grown strong because of her own merit, but it would be folly for her to simply ignore that she will always be that little bit stronger than those beside her because life benefits those with blessed genes.
Kido: Ojo has a fair understanding of Kido, able to use any spell at her tier without struggling, but Kido is her weakest subject due to practicing with her Zanpakuto more. It is the main reason she joined the 2nd Division, so that she may learn more.
FLOWING MOUNTAIN
» Overview:
The fighting style of the Koga Clan, Flowing Mountain. It is not a mere fighting style. It is a way of life, passed down from the very beginning to each and every member of the clan. Creating by its original leader, Flowing Mountain is an ideal that every member must adopt to understand their place in life. It shapes a person into what they are, teaches them the basis of survival, grooms them into mighty warriors. Despite this, however, it is a simple guideline. The Flowing Mountain style has no defined rules, but, instead, relies on the individual to take it and mold it into their own way of life. It is what every beginner in the world learns before evolving into a more advanced form, but with that said, it also proves what connects every member of the Koga Clan, for, no matter their path, they are able to come together and understand one another through the clan's secret fighting style.
1st Step: Will of the Mountain
Will of the Mountain is the first step in learning the techniques of the Kōga clan. It proves itself to be the strongest technique, the easiest and hardest to learn of all the steps. The sole reason it works as it does is because it is based solely on an individual's will to fight. It is the first step because it involves the moment before a fight starts, that singular moment when one becomes entirely focused on the battle before them. Most usually say that a battle can begin and end with only the intent in one’s gaze. Taking that concept and molding it to its fullest, the Will of the Mountain prepares a person for combat and applies their willpower throughout their body, reinforcing their body with such. Now, this sudden willpower enhancement serves as a sensation that everyone can feel, but it can also be used in the same fashion as a tulpa, empowering a person’s next action with their very will. This acts like a buff that combines the person's current strength with their willpower, treating willpower as a pseudo strength stat. This means that advanced willpower will change to advanced strength, allowing one to add on the benefits of advanced strength to what their strength skill already is, from being able to destroy one block to being able to destroy two, etc.
2nd Step: Steadfast Rest
The second step of the Koga’s clan fighting style isn’t connected to the first step. In fact, it is but a style choice, a way to fight that many may not wish to train in. Though, it is a step that many come to learn the basis, for it entails creating a solid foundation: balancing one’s body, learning how to move one’s feet, simple defense, simple attacking. It is at its core an introduction to fighting in general. However, some may take it further, creating an immovable foundation, turning themselves into a wall that won’t budge. Steadfast Rest is not about forcing moves, but it focuses on basic interaction with an opponent and focusing on it trains one in how to handle any situation they may find themselves in.
3rd Step: Floating River
The third step, Floating River, is a more advanced usage of one’s body. Floating River comes naturally to those who have an understanding of Steadfast Rest, for it involves the movement of one’s body while keeping oneself balanced and ready for anything. It is a technique focused primarily on moving from spot to spot in specific manners that seem similar to dancing styles: tango, salsa, ice skating. One becomes more focused on creating interaction with their opponent than waiting for their opponent to come to them. Masters of this step are practiced in launching quick precise strikes or long powerful attacks in tandem.
4th Step: Natural Mountain
Natural Mountain is another step that is disconnected to every other step. This step focuses more on understanding the environment. It helps one gain the ability to adapt to any location that they desire to fight in. Hiding behind buildings, using natural smoke to your advantage, knowing that the sand underneath them is too loose for specific moves; those who become masters of the 4th step are always at an advantage no matter where they are. This step is not concerned with the other steps, but learning the way of the Natural Mountain allows one to utilize the steps before in a proficient manner at all times.
5th Step: Inner Mountain
Inner Mountain is the ultimate step, for it is not a singular new technique. It is the application of all other steps into one’s own skill set. One does not master any one skill and becomes able to incorporate all they know at a moment's notice, transforming themselves into an able fighter.
MOONLIGHT BUTTERFLY'
MoonLight Butterfly: Utilizing the style of her clan and the odd nature of her Zanpakuto, Ojo has created her own sword style. Unlike most sword styles, Ojo does not focus on cutting her opponent. Instead, she has combined iaido, kendo, kenjutsu, and basic understanding of blunt object usage. Notably, Ojo seems to mimic the idea of more old fashioned Earthly ideas: Jigen-Ryu, Tamiya-Ryu, and Muso Jikiden Eishin-Ryu.
Altering MoonLight Butterfly: The slight change in fighting style that Ojo adapts when her Shikai is active. Though she focuses on fighting as she does normally, with the added benefit of her gravity manipulation abilities, Ojo now alternates between maxing out her Zanpakuto’s power and bashing her opponent into mush. Once in Shikai, Ojo also unlocks more final techniques meant to kill the opponent in the same way as a normal katana. The added fact that she can now alter her Zanpakuto’s gravity allows for her to manipulate her swings, slashes, and stabs at a moments notice, adding more versatility to her fighting style.
Along with this manipulation, specialized agility and speed training allows her greater reaction times compared to other people which, combined with her small stature, gives her a strange overbearing amount of speed and aggression in her movements. This all works in tangent, creating Ojo’s own way of the sword that is usually underestimated until its deadliness is witnessed.
All techniques utilized, however, fall into a category of the Flowing Mountain Style, utilizing one step or multiple. Though, Ojo is keener on using the second and third steps.
Flowing Mountain
1st Step:
Due to the way this step works, Ojo is only capable of making use of it in a plain manner. As for preparing herself for a fight, it is easy for her to switch into the mindset required. In fact, it is almost seamless, making it impossible to tell if Ojo understands the difference between a spar and an actual fight. The aura that begins to permeate from her has nothing to do with her spiritual pressure but feels just as encompassing. Though, Ojo also understands the application of her willpower to her strikes, allowing herself to boost a single attack with her willpower. However, this is only usable once per thread due to the strain of applying her will to a single attack.
2nd Step:
Ojo’s least liked step due to the nature of her Zanpakuto. However, she has practically become an expert on the basis of fighting, understanding key foundations of other techniques just by eyeing another person’s movement. It also means she is not an easy person to catch off guard with unexpected attacks, for she understands how to adjust her stance or move at a moment’s notice, almost as if she’s predicting her opponent’s actions. She hoists a multitude of techniques for the 2nd Step that all revolve around creating a powerful defense until she is capable of opening her opponent up for a counter.
3rd Step:
Her favorite step, Ojo has become an able person when it comes to going on the offense. She has become adept at pressuring her opponent with strong blows from her blunt Zanpakuto, battering a person until they are incapable of defending themselves any longer. Because of her Zanpakuto, Ojo has forsaken some of the beauty that comes with sword fighting to better make use of how brutal her sword requires her to be to defeat her opponent.
4th Step:
This step to Ojo exists to simply help her train her awareness of her environment, as is its purpose. She only practiced this step just so she can learn the advantages and disadvantages of her environment and adjust accordingly.
ZANPAKUTO INFORMATION'
» Name: Nagaregami
» Spirit Summary: Nagaregami is a simple creature in Ojo's eyes, a bull that speaks with a female voice. However, if one were to ever witness the creature, they would notice its unnatural appearance. Nagaregami is all white with sparkling blue eyes, a third eye embedded in its head that seems to appear like a jewel. Out of its head juts multiple horns that line down its cheeks. Adorning its body are multiple beads and ribbons of distributive colors. Around Nagaregami is a blue jay that seems to never land on the ground.
» Inner World: Ojo's inner world is nothing special, a huge green pasture of infinite expansion. There exists nothing in this world but blue cloudy skies and calm winds. Nagaregami is normally found feeding from the pasture's grass.
» Sealed Appearance: Nagaregami takes the shape of a katana. However, it is nowhere near the same size as one. Going as far as being almost longer than Ojo's height, Nagaregami's hilt is massive, being about a quarter of her height. The hilt of her Zanpakuto is white with one ribboned hooked to the end of it folded into two ends. The hilt is a simple oval of golden color.
» Sealed Ability: Nagaregami has no particular ability in its sealed state, but it does take an awkward shape in its sealed and released form. Unlike other swords, Nagaregami has no honed edge, instead having an appearance of a sword but actually acting more like a blunt object. It is not especially good at cutting but seems capable of smashing through anything with a certain ease.
SHIKAI INFORMATION'
» Release Phrase: Weigh the scales of troddened trails, Nagaregami
» Shikai Appearance: There is no special action when Nagaregami is released. The only change visible of the Zanpakuto is the constant release of its reiryoku around its blade, its reiatsu wispy purple in color.
» Shikai Ability:
Nagaregami has one power, and that power is to alter the gravity of whatever it comes in contact with. However, only its blade is capable of applying this alteration, changing the gravitational force and the direction applied against an object instantaneously. However, Nagaregami's true power comes from more tactical uses of its Shikai. Even after contact, Nagaregami’s effect remains on that individual due to part of its energy shedding off onto whatever it has hit for a certain amount of time. Nagaregami, however, is capable of shedding its energy multiple times onto the same object or target which gives Ojo the ability of stacking the effect of Nagaregami’s gravitational altering. This is how she brings out her Zanpakuto’s true power, using its blunt edge to bash her opponent before disabling their movements.
However, there are a few details about Nagaregami’s Shikai that keep it from being as powerful as it could be. Due to it being an ability enforced by Nagaregami’s energy, it gives room for Ojo’s opponent to counter its effect. Nagaregami works in multitudes of two, multiplying the effect of gravity on that particular person by two per stack in a quantitative sense. However, the rate at which these stacks grow is linearly, meaning each stack is multiplied by two. With this, an opponent who knows of Ojo’s Shikai will know how to count and calculate the effect Nagaregami would have on them. Also, there is a range limit to Nagaregami. If Ojo has sight of an opponent, Nagaregami is activatable no matter the range. Though, without being able to see them, Ojo is only able to activate Nagaregami on them in a quarter mile radius from her position. Then, there is the issue of Nagaregami stacks resetting after Ojo activates its gravity alteration on an opponent, and if an opponent avoids Ojo for two posts, the stacks will simply fade away.
» Weightless Butterfly:
An advanced technique that applies Nagaregami’s Shikai ability in a series of specific actions. It is not something especially powerful, but it simply allows for Ojo to change her own gravity and the direction of it at will. However, Ojo is only able to double her weight, but this allows her to use her Shikai to move at an especially fast rate. Though, to use it multiple times in a row requires for her to activate, deactivate, and activate Nagaregami which she can only do three times in quick succession before being unable to use it equal to the number of times she used it, with the max being three posts.
» True Moonlight Butterfly:
Ojo’s Shikai’s strongest ability which finalizes its true power. Ojo can force Nagaregami to assert its gravity manipulation onto itself. By forcing its gravity to increase against the flat of its blade, its surface compresses and becomes impossibly sharp to the point of cutting anything like a normal sword. Ojo is only able to do this once per thread, for it would break her Zanpakuto to use it constantly, and she only has two posts to pull off whatever she is trying to do before she must end the effect on her Zanpakuto. The strongest part of this ability comes from coating her Zanpakuto in energy which also gives it the special property of also using that energy to enforce its attack, scaling with her Zanjutsu skill.

I need an age. Non negotiable. It can be approximate, but it has to be something.
>> Focus: Not really a requirement, but for someone that has three techniques that surround her paying attention to her environment, her Focus skill is quite low.
>> Altered MoonLight Flowing Mountain 1st Step: I need a metric of what this does. I get that it increases her strike with willpower but to what degree? Double? Triple? Does the strike just work off purely Willpower? Do I combine it? Does it make it stronger, weaker? She, at the moment, already has Elite Strength, does the Advanced Willpower boost even do anything?
>> Strength: I don't think just pure genetics would put her at Elite. Coupled with her training, I could see her at advanced. If you could give me an example of what she would/could do with Elite Strength than I have no problem giving it, but as it currently stands, what you written could net you an Advanced at most. You often reference Ojo versus another person, but Elite's can basically wipe out numerous people with their strikes.
>> Zanjutsu: There needs to be a justification of this level of skill. The only mention of her even having a Zanpakuto in her history was getting it. No sign of training, no sign of usage. Tying in with the age thing, she could be fresh out of the academy for all I know so why does she have Advanced Zanjutsu. In the apps current state I could barely justify an Adept.
To be clear, I don't need something huge to justify this realistically. I just need more that the one sentence mentioning that it exists.
>> Shikai: How many stacks are applied in one go? It looks like its just once per hit but then you mention it being able to shed and stack, which could be interpreted as multiple stacks in one hit. A little bit of clarification would nice there.

With regard to both Standard Flowing Mountain and Altered MoonLight Butterfly Flowing Mountain, I'm not sure exactly what the boost to her attacks with her willpower entails. How big of a boost is it?Flowing Mountain 1st Step
The Elites here feel a bit high. While I understand that she's prodigious, I feel like she's established as being immature enough that they would both merit being moved down to Advanced. Additionally, I don't feel her Zanjutsu should be above Adept, especially seeing as she doesn't have Bankai yet to really necessitate the Advanced.[/adm]Skills

Added more description to the First step and how it would apply to any attack using its modifier.
Dropped skills, but martial skill feels safe still due to the dependency of using specialized techniques that Ojo probably displays on any occasion.
