Character Name: Igendai Gyakusuma

Feats & Qualifications: Igen has shown exceptional growth since joining the Division. From his great strides in gaining his Shikai, and his continued efforts in learning Shunko. Even without these two endeavors having produced full fruit, he has made tremendous headway and his own basic competence as a fighter even despite his energy reserves not having quite caught up yet.

But he doesn't deserve this job JUST because he's strong. Plenty of gotei people get positions just out of strength and a personality that is just, let's say "acceptable" for them to qualify for the position. But Igen has Drive, and a DESIRE to do his job. He has put in work not only to perform the duties associated with his Position, but to do it WELL. Igen doesn't just want to be a Good shinigami, he wants to be a good leader and Member of the First Division. An example for other Squads, but also understanding that it's mostly administrative work and making sure the Gotei runs smoothly. His dedication to his work has maintained, continuing to put his all into his job EVEN while struggling with his new training Regime AND adjusting to the now-constant presence of his Shikai. Neither of which managing to keep Igen from doing his job with his usual smile, dedication, and enthusiasm.
Extra Notes: I considered aiming for a slightly lower seat, but my Boy's pretty cracked, and he's still growin. That said, I trust Murasaki will know the best spot for him if Third Seat doesn't fit.
