Tailoring A Path Towards Greatness(Hiroe)
Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:23 pm
MIYASHIRO HIROE
The woman known as Miyashiro Hiroe had considered fate to be an amusing concept to contemplate and ponder as she reflected on the events that led to her developing a desire to join the Gotei and achieve a dream that some might well consider beyond her station, considering her origins.
She was meant to be a tailor for a time, perhaps find a loving husband, and live a mundane life that assured security and support. And yet, during all those times she wandered about at night to explore the Rukongai, she ended up meeting a seated member who she grew to idolize and even train with when she expressed a desire to become a member of the Gotei United just like her.
And now, she found herself traveling the halls, searching for her first class and her teachers, to meet and see who she would be learning under. It felt surreal. She would be constantly working and training towards a lofty position.
Hiroe wondered if she could handle that sort of pressure in the long run but she had already committed herself to this path. To shirk away in the big moment would go against everything she had been building towards. She would achieve her dream.

“Hey. That girl looks lost. Think we should help?”
“Hmm? Trying to put the moves on a newbie? Real low, man.”
“Oh. Shut it. Can’t a guy just help a gal out without trying to help himself?”
Banter: that’s all they’re doing. Neither of them are probably going to actually help the woman out. Shiro’s just chilling really. He doesn’t really care much of what they’re discussing, but he did spare a moment to look over at their subject of interest. Damn. She’s short. Though, his Rukia is still shorter. That got a resigned sigh out of him as he left his friends to go over to the woman.
“Yo, shorty. Lost? You look lost.”
He doesn’t even look interested in her situation, but the fact he’s asking should be enough, right? He shouldn’t have to look like he’s about to carry her to where she needs to go like some silver steed. His pals, who seem interested in how he’s handling the situation, probably would have done something stupid like that just because they’re hornballs. Why is he the normal one out of the group?

MIYASHIRO HIROE
Hiroe caught wind of the banter as she was walking through the halls. She paid no mind to it, however, as that was a common activity between boys and Hiroe remained focus on making it to her class.
She did enjoy being the subject of conversation, though. Still, Hiroe could worry about boys after her classes... if she could find them. She knew where she was going... totally! However, as she continued to walk, she slowly lost track of where she was going and clicked her teeth. In her aim to shut them up, she comprised herself to a point where she was forced to ask someone. As Shiro approached, she turned to him with a pouty expression as she crossed her arms.
"Yeah... I'm lost. It's my first day, okay? My name's not shorty, either. It's Hiroe."

“Shorty. Hiroe. It all rhymes, so…”
He shrugged his shoulders, finding her little bit of disdain not worth the time to humor. She has her nickname, so she might as well get used to it now. There are more important matters to worry about, like actually making it to class, so, without much thought put behind it, Shiro moved behind her and put his hands on her shoulder. Since it’s her first time, he reckons she’s probably looking for the beginner classes, and those are a bit off from where they are. Might as well get a move on now, so neither of them ends up late.
“This way. Looking for the newbie classes, right? One foot before the other, hup hup, short-oe.”
He even put a little bit of a spin to her nickname just to make it sound more like her actual name. What a genius he is.

MIYASHIRO HIROE
The nerve of this man! Shorty and HIroe certainly did not rhyme at all! Her pout remained but she eased up as he placed his hands on her shoulders and started guiding her along to where her - as he called it - "newbie" class would be. As she was being guided along, she seemed to relax as she didn't exactly get the idea he was trying to mock her and genuinely desired to be helpful.
His casual and lax nature was quite refreshing compared to meeting someone who might've looked to openly mock or bully her on her first day. Still, short-oe, though? She would've welcomed a far flashier nickname. Come to think of it, she had introduced herself but failed to get what she believed to be a fellow student's name in the process. As they walked, she turned to him with curious eyes.
"So, what's your name, tall guy with white hair?"

“Tall guy with white hair is fine.”
He’ll allow it, mostly because he’d rather not have his name in her mouth. Why? As if he needs people knowing he helped out a fellow student. Though, his friends probably would have liked that. The gals love a charitable guy. Bwah. He’s just being a snark for no reason.
“But, you can call me Shiro, if you want. I don’t really care.”
His lax nature really does just make him seem uninterested, yeah? Makes one wonder why he even bothered helping. Who knows? Trying to understand Shiro sometimes will just leave you with a headache. All she needs to know is that she’ll reach her class eventually, thanks to him. Hopefully, she doesn’t get attached. The last thing he needs is a sudden sidekick that barely reaches his ankles. He has one of those already.

MIYASHIRO HIROE
"Tiro sounds fitting, then. Tall Shiro. Mhm. Now we both have nicknames to call each other by if we cross paths again. Mine actually rhymes, too," she'd quip playfully as they continued walking towards her class. Hiroe still couldn't get a proper idea of what this guy's deal was or whether he was doing this because he genuinely wanted to help or felt obligated but she wasn't one to refuse help and she found him somewhat interesting. Easy on the eyes, too.
She could not help but curiously look back up at him and wonder if the class he was leading her to was also a class he was apart of. Did she even tell him what class it was she was apart of? Gah. This was all a whirlwind of thoughts she didn't feel like thinking on unless she wanted her brain to be tired out before she reached her class. Please, let it be something sword related, at least...
"So to keep things from' bein absolute sludge to the finish line, what year are you? First? Second? Third? About to graduate? I was curious about if we'd be in the same class..."

“I’ll leave you stranded if you decide to call me Tiro, squirt.”
He muttered as they walked, his attention bouncing around aimlessly. Walking’s simple, and he knows where he’s going, so he doesn’t really need to focus that hard. The gal next to him is the one on high alert. He’s not going to be around to show her where to go, and it’s obvious people aren’t as generous as he is, but it shouldn’t be much further. He’s taking her to a basic’s class because he honestly doesn’t know where she’s supposed to go. She didn’t state where she had to go.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it. I’m probably about to get out of this place soon, regardless of my grade.”
With a shrug of his shoulders, he went on without caring much about her question. She’s trying to pinpoint his status, and he knows she’s trying to plan how to be around him more. He’s not sure if she’s crushing on the one guy who cared to give her the time of day, but he’s taken and would rather not have any more baggage when he’s done with this place. His work with the Seventh Division already has him meeting far too many new faces that are hard to keep up with. Yep. He’s just a helping hand.

MIYASHIRO HIROE
"What's the matter, Tiro? You don't like the name? Tiro sounds pretty catchy," she'd chuckle softly as she kept her eyes forward, focusing on where they would end up going next. Truth be told, judging by Shiro's voice, he didn't seem entirely serious about disliking the "pet" name she had chosen for him but by now, Hiroe figured they had already made it this far, confident that she could make her way from here but talking with a fellow student was always nice. It was a bit of a bummer when he just came out and said there was no reason to worry about it since he wouldn't be here.
Hiroe frowned in a sort of pouty fashion but she understood. From that statement, she assumed he was graduating and likely either in or on his way towards becoming apart of a division. A small thought dawned in her mind and she decided to sate her curiosity. She's not sure she'll get the answer she wants, but hey, shoot your shoot, right? Or in this case, swing your sword?
"Sounds like you're about to join the Gotei United, huh? Or maybe you're already apart of a division. I don't know how those things work. How is it, if you don't mind my asking?"

He felt like squeezing her head until her skull popped out, pasty like pus from a zit. What a graphic and nasty thing to imagine, but it’s not that much worse from things he’s actually seen. Though, it’d probably smell worse. Besides, that’d be too severe for just calling him a bad nickname. He’ll live.
“It’s nothing much. Just working and patrolling… What sucks is the homework and paperwork. Can’t wait to be gone from this place.”
He can handle the paperwork from school or from work just fine. It’s having to do both that’s hard. He has to pace himself, so he doesn’t get frustrated half the time. Thankfully, he has someone who’ll help him every now and then, even if she thinks it’s unfair to get him through his homework. He just thinks of it as using his available resources.
“Make sure you’re ready to fight Hollows though. It’s not as simple as the courses make it seem.”
