Training days [Flashback]

With that and a sigh of relief, Tento was done taking care of himself after his workout. At least until he was done cleaning up. When that was taken care of he could then take a shower to properly clean his body off. Or maybe not. A nice hot warm bath would also be very relaxing, as well as soothing for his body and muscles.

Turning around on his heels, Tento would walk over to his bag and drop the towel he used to dry off into it. He should clean it before returning it. It was nasty to leave a sweaty and probably eventually smelly towel in a hot humid closet. No that would not do, he had to clean it and then bring it back when he worked out again. It would not be long, he was planning to come back tomorrow at some point in the day.

Once he dropped the towel, he then turned and went back to the closet. Once he reached his destination, Tento would out his left hand to grab the sweeping broom. Shaking it a little bit before beginning, he would begin pushing the broom's head against the floor up and down as he made his way across the room. One would not expect the room to be not really dusty given that it was a training room inside of a room inside of what was essentially a military training organization, to be clean, heck, no, spotless. Just forget the fact that it was a normal thing to use the physical label of the recruits to aid in maintenance of the equipment, buildings, and grounds as a form of developing and committing to common identity, pride, and disciple. But there was also the fact that it would be such a common room because of the number of people who would most likely be using the room. Given that, it would be natural to assume that because of that, there would be a lot of cleaning focus on the room by the people who used the room as well as by the people who's job were to clean up things.

But Tento supposed that was not the case. At least with this room. He had been using this room for awhile now since he started going to Shino Academy, and not once had he seen someone using this training room besides himself. Nor did he ever see someone leaving the room before he came in. However, he did see traces of people in the room. A window left open to let in cool air, some fog on a window that was from condensation being built on it, or a change in the regulated temperature of the room. The room had to be in use by others, Tento just somehow never got the chance to see it or meet the individual or multiple people.

Even so Tento had never met the unknown being(s) who also used the training room he did. He had to make sure to take care of the room. He was using it after all and he prefered to make sure whatever space he was in was comfortable and optimal for use. But that was something that did not matter for now. There was no point of wondering who were using the room.

And so he continued at this pace when his feet slide across the wooden floors to the wooden walls. The large dust broom sliding across the surface kicking up the bits of dust and material that laid on the floor boards as well as the little piece that stuck up above the crevasses in the wood planks. At least the ones that were not stubborn and decided to come up. The broom ht the edge of the room, ending the firs trip in his clean up jump. Turning the broom 90 degrees, Tento shifted the broom forward before turning it again 90 degrees so that it would face the opposite side of the room once again. Starting the ordeal once again.

Sweep sweep slide slide. Swish swish swish swish.

The sounds of the broom sweep swishing against the floor echoed as Tento went to work on his second run. He kept at this pace as he moved with a half run motion hoping to get stuff done fast. He was attentive though, making sure to spot any pieces of dust and dirt that was before him. This continued for awhile. Tento was not sure exactly how long it took him but it was not quick. He did not through a fit though, and in time the dust in the room were all done being swept and were collected in a pile off away to the side.

Once that was done Tento turned back towards the closest, walking in to grab out a dust pan and a smaller broom. Once these objects were in his hands, he went back to the spot he had put the dust and swept it into the dust pan before carrying it off to a nearby trash can and dumping it in.

"Alright, now. All there is left is to mop up where it is wet", Tento turned with satisfactions. Heading back once again to the closet to put the broom, larger broom, and dust pan back up. While he was in there he also reached in and grabbed the mop. This part of the clean up would be a lot shorter. He only had to mop up where he was because that would be where all the sweat was!

So with a bit of more eagerness due to the expected decrease of work to do, Tento did a fast walk to the first spot that he knew where the floor was damp or wet. The spot he was just drying himself off earlier. Swish swish swish. With a few swipes the moister of the wooden floor was released and picked up a little bit. Being soaked up by the mop head making Tento satisfied.

Planting the mod down with the mop head down against the floor and the wooden handle of the stick standing straight up vertically. Tento leaned the mop toward him, keeping his hands on the top of the mop with his chin on top. Tento scanned the room and from what he saw, he believed that that was about it with the clean up of the room. That was a lot faster than I thought it would be. That was not bad at all.

With that done, Tento picked up the mop and walked back to the closet. Looking inside, he easily spotted the mop bucket. With a little more looking in the space of the closet Tento found a pair of gloves. Tento then went back to the now wet dirty mop, flipped it into the mop bucket, and slowly squeezed water out of the threaded yarn. One, two, and several more twists the water was out from the mop broom and in the bucket. Tento then leaned the mop against the wall, under the desalinated spot to allow it to hang dry.

Feeling satisfied with working on his hand to hand combat skills today, Tento went to the spot of the room that held all of his items he brought with him in a bag, picked it up, and went to the door that lead to the hallway to the training area. The scene outside were of multiple low,long stretched buildings. A blend of the same colors of brown with several open areas surrounded by walls, and a few higher buildings that matched the lower level designs. Many held different halls and open-air spaces in different sizes and shapes for different martial arts and sports with the big ones were multiple purpose halls.

Now outside of the building that he was once in, Tento found himself that the area he was in was empty of students , staff, or instructors. It seemed it was going to be an isolative day. Which was...strange. He saw people in class today and even on days people were go go go and held up in their rooms, Tento would at least see Hanako outside. Anyone. But so far Tento had seen not a single person since classes had ended for the day.

With a shrug and a short work, Tento went out to the open space, one of the few places on the outside that was also meant for training. This spot he sat down in was one that allowed him to sit his back on a target post and pulled out his sheathed blade to meditate before starting his next exercise. He liked to do this at time, to pull out his Asauchi and just hold it. Yes, from what he could remember being told when first getting it, as Tento ate, trained, slept, laughed, lived essentially. The blank sword would pick up on his mind, heart, and soul. It would absorb what Tento knew, felt, and thought; consciously and subconsciously. The sub would be him, and he would be his sword. A team, more than a wielder and his tool. Given that, Tento hoped that actively trying to spend time with his sword would quicken the time needed before his sword formed. The problem was. He had no idea if it was working!

It was something he thought about sometimes. For a long period of time. But this time, Tento wanted to clear his head a bit so he could be in a clear mental state. Even if he did not make progress with his sword, he could at least make progress within himself. It would aid in making Tento be at his best and not waste time while training. He only had so much time before he had to test to try to become a Shinigami.

Thanking about graduation and preparation, even though it was far far far off, also made Tento think of Hanako. I really appreciate her helping me out with physical training. Hand to hand and Zanjustu has gotten a lot more fun then doing it by myself or with my fellow year class members. I need to get better at my Kidō in return. Besides just wanting to get more strength in it....and wanting to do some cool spells, I want to help her with her crutch against Kido...even if it is only mentally. We need to get more strength...and heck, it will probably be easier than trying to get my swords name. I have not even got a vision of them let alone a vibe from any energy!.


Jikan looked fondly at his sword before closing his eyes. It was fine if he did not know right now. It would be fine if he did not know until after he graduated. He would have patience. A sigh escaped his lips and Tento closed his eyes too begin his meditation.

Unbeknownst to Tento, he was incorrect. There was actually people outside togday. It was just a chance that no one had been around were he was so far today. That might be changing soon. For there was a person in Shino Academy that was making their way to the training ground. This person was a little bit like Tento, in that they had decided to do some extra training today, and was planning on doing Kido. The person held their blank sword on the back of their waist. With some time taking waking out of the dorms and with some several several amateur flash steps, they arrived at the Shino Academy.

In no time needed, the person manage to find the area. However, they looked left and right, examining the area as if they were taking in the space trying to find someone. But really they were just awed by the Kido training area. Soon they spotted an empty training field with a guy sitting down against a target post. His posture presented that he was meditating.
