The Lady Lies

We all know the story: sword in the stone, the lady in the lake, great king, and an even greater fall. However, it's been a long time since that has taken place and a lot has changed since then. The Lady has grown bored. So when a man appears at her home and tries to take the sword from the stone once again, what's wrong with a little fun?

Though, she does not give away her blessings that easily. She has learned from the last time. Instead, she gave him a task: bring me the Holy Grail. Her only love, Arthur, had promised it to her when alive but was never able to give it to her. If given the Grail, then in return she will grant the person the weapon Excalibur.

But that's not what she told him. No, no, no. That would have been boring.

What she did, actually, was give him the sword that many heroes before him have wielded: Calabra. She told him how those who have been granted Calabra were destined for greatness, and how it was a sign that he shall become ruler of all man. And rule he did, with the absence of England's benefactor, Inami Asthavon, through both peace and war has England bent a knee towards a new king.

Britannia shall rise again.

It's a "plotline". Sort of like an event but different in some ways. First is that where events are normally totally staff run, this is more of an open thing that occurs in which anyone can participate. While not intended to have heavyweight for PH history, those who participate will be rewarded handsomely. Second, there's a story planned. The ending to this story is not, and overall it's flexible so anything can happen, but it will be moved along if deemed necessary. These will be indicated in phases. Third, there's a time limit on the entire thing. It's not set in stone, but do not expect that it won't end if you don't post. If staff deems it to be over, then it will be over at that time.

It's open to anyone on Earth, as long as they have reason to be in England.
