The Next Day [Rukia, Shiro]

Buns... Chuckling to herself, Rukia took the bunny as it was offered to her, looking at its adorable little face with fairly apparent fondness. It was pretty great, she'd be the first to admit.

"Thanks, Shiro. Not just for Buns, even if he's absolutely great. Just, you know... For all this. It's nice, getting to be normal. Not feel like an old lady."

Moving Buns under one arm, Rukia took Shiro's hand in hers, just long enough to pull him down for a short kiss. She certainly wouldn't be going anywhere near what they'd done last night, for any number of reasons. But a little bit more affection felt nice.

"You'd better keep up with your studies, you know. I find high grades very attractive."

What a nice moment. Unfortunately, the niceness of the moment was very quickly brought tumbling down by the question being post so casually to her. Rukia didn't necessarily mind it, per se, but she'd be lying if she said she'd been expecting it. It was sort of personal, but then again, so was what had happened last night. Glancing off to one side, looking faintly shy about it, Rukia simply nodded as she answered.

"Yeah. Surprised someone my age's never had a relationship like that?"

Rukia wasn't mad or anything, but it was much easier to make light of the situation with her age than to just say it plainly. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't felt lonely more than once in the past few centuries, but she didn't want this outing to end on a note like this.

"Never really wanted to get into that sort of thing, I guess. Always had something else going on."
