Faction Name: Wulin
History: Claiming some 5000 years of history, Wulin - "The Land" as it translates as - Wulin's history is massive and diverse. So massive and diverse that a single page could not hope to hold even the foot notes of all that it encompasses.

What it encompasses in the modern day is the modern Cultivator. Most that are born into it are born into a clan or family who has been part of Wulin for thousands of years, or at least has close relatives - grandparents or great-grandparents - who have done so. As such it is a massive, overarching collection of every Cultivator, enforced by ancient tradition. Should someone manage to learn Tao Chi without being in Wulin, then they will be contacted, and brought into the fold, to be taught the culture, rules and warnings that come with the power they now have.
Resources: Zian-Zi holds many facilities in which all manner of things can be found. It is a fully self-sustained system, though the scale of which is small relative to others due to the fact that their above-land holdings are very meagre. The markets of Zian-Zi and the stalls of The Wandering Bazzar have enough to get buy and prosper internally, but very little money or resources are available in the view of the wider world. This is partially because of the age-old understanding that one should not acknowledge the other side of the world, the unenlightened and uninitiated.

This mindset has been around for mellenia, and while the people of Wulin are breaking out of it and broaching to the world in the modern day, it is slow and cautious as they feel out every step before taking it.
Hierarchy/Ranks: Wulin has a very loose hierarchy, as it is a very loose faction of many thousands of people all together in the same cultural identity. Hierarchy is dealt with internally, with each of the myraid clans having their own setup. Though, Wulin has had many differing sets of hierarchies over the years, and some are held for documentational reasons - like the Five Spiritual Lords - and others are kept out of a need for some kind of guiding authority - like the Ruler Of Wulin.

The two that are flexible and able to cover the vast generations, are the title/rank of "Buddha" and "Ryokō Xian".

A Buddha gains his title from others. He or She must do something spectacular and gain world-renown for their deeds that go down in history. They must shake the very foundations of Wulin, and be celebrated for all time. There title is often related to how they earned such respect.

Ryokō Xian on the other hand is a much easier title to obtain. Wulin loves it's heroes, and so all you need to do to earn this title is to be skilled, and show such skill to the world. Despite the name, you do not need to be particularly heroic, or wander, to be called a Wandering Hero.
