Fighting against the odds [Izaya vs. Zin]
Fri Mar 04, 2011 5:53 am
- Spoiler:
- Posting order
Kylekaotikk - Izaya Koja - 2-3
The Frost - Zin Yuudeshi - 0-2
Date
March 27th, 2411.
The fighting area was cold, it seemed it hadn't been used in a good while. Suddenly, a loud crash could be heard, the doors flew open. Nobody standing in the doorway, suddenly above the area appeared Izaya, his arms wrapped tightly around his body trying to keep the cold out. His jacket draped down to his knees although it wasn't very thick making him very prone to cold weather. Either way he was going to fight Zin at any rate it would be a good experience for him to learn from the best. As he waited, the area was silent, no noise. The cracking of knuckles echoed throughout the are drowning out the silence for a few seconds.
"Argh, when will he show up..." Izaya's voice echoed throughout the training area. He wasn't quite happy about things in his life, he was straying away from his happy normal state he didn't know why, all he knew was that either way this fight would bring back some hope for him. Instead of taking things calm as he always did, as he waited he began to punch the air testing the strength in his arms. Wind broke past his fist as he punched showing the raw power in them. Seeing that he was relatively knew to the organization of vizards and his sector, he didn't know what to expect from one of the best of fighter.

The solid footsteps of one of the most influential Vizards in history could be heard throughout The Vizard Corps Training Area as he prepared to enter one of the many training chambers placed throughout this section of the compound. Reason being? He was requested by one of of his newest Lieutenant Colonel's in order to help train them. And seeing how he himself needed to make sure his members were up to peak form, Zin decided to accept his request and personal train him. After all, with the security level on Earth placed on it's highest in centuries, everyone needed to be prepared for anything that could happen. Especially after what had happened in London. From what Zin heard, they basically lost that city to the Kokuryuteishi and Nuevo Espada.
Thus, with all of the explanations out of the way, this brings us up to speed on why The Vizard Corps Leader was quickly approaching the opened gates of the chamber where the Lieutenant Colonel of Sector 6 would be awaiting his arrival.
"Hm, this is where the guy is at, eh?" Spoke Zin aloud with a slight chuckle as he looked upward towards a screen that projected Izaya's location within the training area. "I guess I should give him a little surprise...." Smirking slightly, The Vizard Corps Leader knew exactly what he was going to do next in order to get that Lieutenant on his top game. Without making a single sound, Zin swiftly shunpo'd around the arena without trying to make too much noise; as this was done to catch Izaya off guard. In Zin's mind, this guy just looked too relaxed waiting for him there. In battle, that would make him a prime target to killed instantly.
And as such, Zin decided that would be the theme of his training session.
Think fast, or die
So, as a result, Zin began his attack without warning. From the shaded area on the top ceiling, Zin pointed his right palm down towards the Lieutenant Colonel of Sector 6 and began firing off a round of five hundred bala's. Unlike most other Arrancar or Vizard's, though, Zin's Bala's are white in color and can be fired off at an incredibility fast rate. Not only that, but thanks to his abilities being heavily related to fire, he can even melt, burn or fuse objects together with his bala's. Per post, Zin can possibly fire off a thousand bala's at once.
"Leason One: KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!"
After that, Zin would hopefully be in the clear to shunpo to another distance behind some stadium seats. From there, he would point out his palm once more and as a dozen waves of pure fire, some that could even melt certain objects and people, were launched towards Izaya. Next, Zin's eyes would flash a bright red before the entire stadium's temperature began to raise to one hundred and twenty eight degrees Fahrenheit. It would slowly raise throughout the course of this battle.
"Those demons won't give you any mercy, kid. You need to be strong...." Zin commented before using shunpo to constantly run around throughout the stadium stands.
Now, how the Lieutenant Colonel would handle this situation is up in the air, but for now Zin is sure he has given him quite the load to deal with.

Izaya 2-3 tier vizard
The air continued to break as he punched the air, totally losing his guard for any attacks from behind, or to be bluntly honest anywhere. His mind was to focused on the idea of facing such a fearsome opponent, making him totally oblivious to his surroundings. The cold air still struck Izaya, he grew up in a warm, luscious place. The new vizard far from being used to the cold. The melee sector Lieutenant Colonel warrior not knowing what would happen, when it would happen and how hard it would hit him. He had only heard of the power that radiated off the vizard leader. Suddenly, he felt a strong reiatsu engulf the place, feeling crushed as it entered, it was without a doubt the strongest vizard he knew, Zin. Izaya knew, he knew that he would have to be on his guard, he just wasn't. If he done this in the battle field there was no doubt he would die where he stood.
Stirking him fiercely, Izaya turned, stunned by the sudden voice coming from behind him. Only catching a glimpse before he went into multiple shunpo's arround Izaya releasing a abundance of bala shots at him, only they weren't normal they seemed white, they staryed away from their normal red like the Lieutenant Colonel had... He didn't know what it was but he was sure not about to get hit by it. Using his swift movements, he managed to pull of a quick shunpo avoiding at least ten shots. However, the fiery shots of bala came from all over, there was no way he could block them all with one swipe. Instead, continuing to use shunpo to dodge a few more, he began to charge up a cero in either hand as he continued to evade the fast and deadly attacks, a few smashing into him. As soon as he found a small gap in the flurry of white lasers, he pointed both hands at the source, aiming in the air, releasing both cero's at the same time. Even though his cero was not very advanced, without a doubt it would destroy some bala.
"Nani?! What is this?!?" The stadium released a sudden burst of heat, it was now wearily hot, it didn't show any signs of going back down to its original temperature any time soon. Izaya would just have to live it out. The fiery substance flew towards Izaya! Only just managing to use shunpo to slightly evade each one. Down in the middle of the stadium was horrible, the heat rose to tremendous temperatures, thoughts hammered through the Lieutenant Colonel's mind how was he going to escape? He didn't know. The shunpo's he constantly used began to grow sloppy, the heat was effecting him. In a single attempt to escape the seething heat of the stadium, he launched himself up into the stand adjacent to the spot in which the other vizard was standing, the substances that were slung towards him incinerating everything they touched.
Trying hard to keep his head in the right place, he pointed his palm towards Zin, his eyes engulfed in reiatsu showing he was now fired up. "Hadō 32 "Ōkasen" The wide yellow arc shot out towards him, most likely destroying anything he had throw, or released towards Izaya. At any rate, he would only find out in time the result of his hard work.

"Not bad, not bad at all." Commented Zin quietly to himself with a slight smirk smudged around his face. During the few moments when Zin was speaking, he was busy carefully analyzing the Lieutenant's progress after the fiery assault on him. "Ohhhh...." Zin was very pleased to discover that Izaya was still alive and kicking down there. As Izaya made his way towards Zin, he could see just where the lieutenant colonel appear and where that kidou attack of his would come.
"...but you are gonna need a better approach to me then that." Stopping dead in his tracks, Zin put on a stern face while staring down the wide arc of yellow energy. Sure, this would have worked on someone not on Zin's level or as a sneak attack, but the way Izayo approached him was all wrong. "You should never attack such a powerful opponent with such straight forward approach as that."
For a brief second his eyes flashed bright white...Then....
BANG!
From the palm of Zin's right hand, a massive white cero was swiftly created. Like all other Vizards, Zin gains access to the ability to fire off cero's at his opponents. Though, his cero's are typically white in color and can do the same as his bala's, but at a much more frightening level. In any case, if his attack went as planned, it would hopefully consume the kidou in front of him. If it got passed that stage, it would be up to Izaya to either stand in the way of this blast or move out of the way.
In any case, Zin was prepared to make his move. While Izaya would hopefully be busy dealing with his cero, another burst of flames could be seen forming on the ceiling. After a few seconds it would then turn into a massive circle of fire and it would it come crashing down towards Izaya's location with any luck.
Next, Zin would then have the clearing to shunpo to the bottom of the stadium and look at his attack's take effect on Izayo. "That really was a poor choice, man. You should have waited, watched me and try to figure out what you could have done to cause damage to me. Taking a slight sigh and shaking his head, Zin went on with his speech. "You may not have the same strength as I, but with enough skill, knowledge and training, you can take on some of the strongest people alive. All you need to do is think."
And with that, Zin would await to see what Izayo's next set of moves would be. Hopefully some of this was starting to stink in with the dang' kid.

Izaya Koja
A sigh of relief came over Izaya, he was just glad to be out of the mess that was Zin's barrage of bala. He was quite amazed at how advanced they where compared to his own and however at the same time resembled a arrancars but was still totally different to theirs. His mind focused on Zin, now that the battle had begun he would try to close the distance at least then he stood a good chance at getting at least a hit in. Izaya knew, he knew that his attack would not be successful let alone hurt Zin in anyway possible. There was no way. As the yellow arc that was okasen got obliterated by the white menacing cero, Izaya had already thought up of his next move. Although throughout the duration of this fight, he felt strange. He didn't know what it was, it was like something made him rage this fight would really fire him up. Maybe it was the thrill of fighting such a fearsome opponent? he would find out in the end.
The cero came flying a tremendous speeds towards him, he would not want to take such a hit from it just the white looked fearsome. Using his right hand, he began to charge up his own cero, then in his left hand charging up yet another spell, but it didn't seem to be a cero. No. It was a kidou, both hands were pointed at the source of white demonic laser type attack the vizard said softly, "Hadō 33 "Soukatsui" The red and blue flames shot out from both palms of his hands, forming together to create an unsightly bond. A Soukatsui and a cero? It was a werid combo, but it had done the job Izaya hoped for. The white cero faded away into thin air, along with the soukatsui and cero hybrid.
The heat suddenly rose again, the ceiling was now raging in flames. It seemed Zin really didn't want Izaya to get away, it was obvious that he was making him think the idea of this training was to get him ready for battle, put his mind in the right thought of mind. Using shunpo, he only just dodged the falling roof within millimetre's. Sweat dripped off his head, it wasn't that he was tired it was more due to the fact it was so hot in here with all the burning up of objects he wondered how Zin actually done achieved these abilities. Izaya would re-appear behind the other vizard, a grin overcoming his face it showed he was now getting into the rhythm of the fight. He would aim a hard right handed straight into his lower back, then widening his footing allowing a bigger stance, drawing his arm back and aiming to slam a fast but hard punch into the stomach of Zin.

Zin's facial expression seemed very pleased as he began to witness the final outcome of what his Lieutenant Colonel would do. 'Oh? I believe the situation is finally starting to stink in with him. Yes, you must think fast or die in battle. That is a fact and there is no getting around that...' While rubbing his chin softly, Zin simply held his own as the two attack's canceled each other out in a massive bang across the entire chamber they were in; causing the ground around them to tremor, buckle and a hardcore shock wave to shake up the senses. '...but you must also think efficiently....'
As he began to take a series a deep breaths in order to compose himself, a flaming red aura could be seen emitting from all around his body. '...for if you don't, you will end up as dog chow for the enemy.' Without even moving from his spot, The Vizard Corps would began his assault on Izaya. "Didn't any thing I told you sink in?!" Zin yelled out towards Izaya who was moving in for a sneak with the best of intentions, but a horribly though-out plan. By telepathic command alone, he had the blazing aura that was coating him raise to an extreme temperature. For a brief second, a ten feet area around Zin rose to nearly two toward degrees Fahrenheit as a gust of an intense reitsu would attempt to knock Izaya Koja away.
Not only that, though, but even some of the ground around Zin would start to melt due to the extreme temperatures and power coming from his spiritual pressure. The overall tempature of the entire chamber even rose to two hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, the last effect that would take place is the amount of oxygen would seem to be depleting to everyone else who would happen to be in the chamber apart from Zin. If Izaya wasn't careful, there was a good chance he could pass out from all of this unless he took good measures to protect himself.
"Look here, there is only a slim to none chance of you ever beating me in direct combat such as that." Spoke Zin as he turned around and jumped back five feet in order to make sure he didn't get hit Izaya. "That does not mean you CANNOT defeat me, however." Taking an irritated sigh, Zin would then think for a hot second about a perfect example of what he was trying to teach.
And then.....that group came to his mind....they would be the perfect example for Izaya to learn from
(The thread in question can be found by clicking this link)
"Do you realize, a few months ago, there was a group of people who were at the same or similar strength as you who took on the Cero Espada's Guard and WON?" Zin would then snap his fingers as a large holographic screen was projected on it began showing footage of the fight. "Do you see how WELL all of them fought? Not how HARD, but how in sync, planned and careful all of their attack's were!" Zin would then have the screen change to what had happened in London not too long ago when Mana was able to successfully take over the capital.
(Thread can be found here)
"Izaya, do you want to know why we lost that city? I'll tell you why, it's because bone-headed idiots simply rushed into that city without a single thought of how they would deal with that chaotic mess." Taking another hard sigh, Zin rubbed his forehead. "Yes, I won't lie, it would be nice to appear in that situation with guns a blazing, no plan and just go in and come out kicking ass..." Then, an explosion would occur all around Zin as large chunks of flaming rubble were hauled over at Izaya, just to keep him on his feet.
"But that's not how it works in the real world! You may have situation where you can do what I just said, but against opponents like me, that won't work unless you are of equal or higher power. So instead, you must learn to be a crafty bastard and use what resources you can to take them down!" Then, with another flash of light, another wave of fire was sent hurdling towards Izaya at great speeds.
"IT'S ABOUT SKILL! LEARN IT!"

Re: Fighting against the odds [Izaya vs. Zin]

Izaya Koja
He wasn't sure. Izaya was certain his attack would be success, his heart pounded it felt like it was ripping through his chest. He knew for a fact there was no way he could beat Zin in terms of power, speed or mobility he just had to think. The problem was, that was the one thing he was lacking. Thought. Izaya backed off straight away as the flaring, high temperature reiatsu engulfed his body forcing anything near back. Even as he retreated, the reiatsu still reached Izaya slamming his body back, his feet ripping up the floor as he slid away from Zin. The temperature soared, sweat still continued to drip from the newer vizard he didn't know how the leader could stand it. His mind wondered about other things, not the flames eating away at the oxygen slowly. It would most likely make him pass out before he knew he couldn't breathe any more. A shocked expression kept taking control of his face, he couldn't wipe it away it stuck to him like a leech trying to suck away his blood. Is this really the power of the vizard corps leader? A slight expression of fear could be seen in his eyes hollowing their way through as the fire continued to burn and melt away. Ripping off some of his shirt, he wrapped it around his mouth and nose, to try and deplete the amount of fumes he breathe in. Izaya Koja put forward/accepted the challenge to the stronger vizard to test the power difference. He didn't expect it to be this tremendous amount of power and skill difference.
"Ever beating you? I would say I don't have any chance of beating you. My mind is stuck, it's constantly wondering. I'm not in my correct state of mind" He explaimed towards the other vizard, while still keeping on guard. "You, to me are the strongest opponent. I know the demons wont let me rest, I will do my best to crush them for the sake of freedom." He gritted his teeth. "You tell me. Have you ever recklessly wondered into a battle, thinking you will be victorious? I have never. Regardless of the opponent, I put myself through so much stress it is un-bearable. That's just the way I am. My mind wonders to much, lacking thought and efficiency." This was just the person he was. He couldn't help it, it was just something he would have to work on over time hopefully this fight would help further his struggle.
Drawing his zanpakuto off his back, in one single motion he would slice down the middle of two pieces of flying, flaming rubble in a single slash. The second lot of flying rubble however, was a lot more fast paced than the first, Izaya only managed to slash one and dodge a few more, a few small bits breaking off and slamming him in the gut. "How about we settle this hand to hand." This is what Izaya wanted, he specialized in counters and comebacks in hand to hand fights, however he wouldn't always get his way in a real fight. It's likely he would have to close in himself and make the counter chances with his own movements.

'Does he finally get the difference in our power?' Zin silently thought to himself as he could almost feel the sensation of pure, utter despair radiating from Izaya's body just from his facial expressions alone.'I know it's hard. Trust me, kid. I've been there before. That door won't be easy to open, but once you do, you will be in for a world of self-improvement.' Taking a slight sigh, Zin began to think back to his own training he received from the likes of Shadin Yuudeshi, Haruko Yuudeshi, Kisuke Urahara, Sho Sora and Tsubine Zareknheinz. It wasn't easy for the Vizard Corps leader to get where he was today. It was a long road of that was fueled by his sheer will, the many beat downs he endured and the hope of a better tomorrow from his positive attitude about life.
Though, it seems like Izaya just isn't learning the lesson Zin is teaching. From his Lieutenant's words alone, The Vizard Corps leader could easily saw he won this battle without even lifting a finger. 'Ever beating you? I would say I don't have any chance of beating you. My mind is stuck, it's constantly wondering. I'm not in my correct state of mind' That type of thinking was simply the mindset of a quitter, a defeated person without any hope of winning. As far as Zin was concerned, if he were to ever go into a real war battle like this, he'd be slaughtered fairly easily. He has no confidence in his abilities!
'You tell me. Have you ever recklessly wondered into a battle, thinking you will be victorious?' Izaya spoke aloud, only to make Zin smile. Why? It's because he has done that countless times in battle while he was younger and STILL does to this day, but not to the extent of extreme cockiness he did as a teen. "Lad, that's the key to me winning all these battles and getting the point I am today. Confidence. I always have faith in my abilities and believe I will defeat anything that comes in my way. Really, if you don't have that, you don't have shit." Then he let Izaya speak again before crossing his arms.
'I have never. Regardless of the opponent, I put myself through so much stress it is un-bearable. That's just the way I am. My mind wonders to much, lacking thought and efficiency.' Taking a deep sigh, Zin really saw that he had his work cut out for him as far as Izaya's emotional and mental health was concerned. "Stop dwelling so much on your negative thinking, and focus more on the positive. Do you really expect to go anywhere with that type of thinking, mate? All of that is just the talk of a loser who has no hope of ever moving on..."
"And it seems you still haven't taken my advice from earlier about how to fight stronger opponents..." Looking at Izaya prepare himself for physical combat, all Zin could do was shake his head in disapproval. Does he really think changing the way they fight is gonna make a difference for someone of his ability? It's really starting to become clear to Zin that this lesson isn't syncing with this lieutenant for some un-godly reasoning.
Heh....maybe he has quite the hard head Zin himself has and needs to be taught through a old fashion beat down. After all, Zin always got the point after a nice a clobbering or two.
"Very well, I will comply with your wishes." Spreading each of his legs apart at an even distance and balling each of his fist up, a great gust of fiery reitsu could be felt emitting from Zin's body as he prepared himself to do battle with Izaya. "Now, my friend, I'll show you through my fist that your way of thinking is simply wrong..." Thus, with that said, Zin took off at a great rate of speed towards Izaya as a loud screech could be heard all throughout the chamber and eventually a boom from the amount of reitsu he released upon charging at Izaya with great rates of speed.
At first, it seemed like he was gonna take a direct approach and simply go in for one massive punch to the face. Instead, Zin faded away and reappeared directly above Izaya with his right arm engulfed in a fiery blaze that he used to deliver a swift, painful hit that would hopefully make some kind of contact on the top of his head in order to make him dazed. After that, Zin would be in the clear to fade away and reappear below Izaya in a crouched position in order to make an attempt at tripping him and making Izaya fall directly on his back; which would do some serious damage due to the fact Zin heated the entire floor around him.
Finally, if Zin were successful, he would reemerge above Izaya with a large grin smeared across his face as his right leg could be seen moving in for a destructive drop kick to the gut as it quickly became engulfed in the same flame as Zin's arm. "BAM!" With that brief word spoken, The Vizard Corps Leader would then make his move at unleashing a truly devastating kick to the stomach that would deliver a painful, fiery blow that would eventually turn into a full on fireball.
What would Izaya do now?

Re: Fighting against the odds [Izaya vs. Zin]

It finally hit him, it felt like a weight had totally been lifted off his chest. He could breathe freely, that was the response Izaya wanted. Suddenly stopping, his whole chain of thought fixed onto strategies on how to at least impress the vizard leader with the skills he had obtained throughout his entire life. The lieutenant still kept on guard, seeing as his mind was clear, he would act swiftly, strongly and make sure no punches went to waste. After all, this training was to better the lieutenant at combat, seeing as he was the lieutenant for the melee sector. At any rate, he would study Zin, he seemed very agile, his body light and punches and cero's to the power of captain rank and beyond it seemed he was the ultimate vizard, specializing in everything Izaya either lacked or even was advanced in.
"I see now. My body feels so much lighter now, my heart not pounding like it was trying to rip out of my chest. No... It was fear that held me back, fear that held my constant thought of what would happen if I failed my friends, my comrades and allowed them to fall into darkness... No more. Those thoughts clouded up my mind. Now I wont me so easily tricked by your petty moves." Seeing as Zin Yuudeshi was now advancing towards Izaya, he was not going to fall for such a easily traceable move. However, the movements were at lot faster than Izaya predicted. A strong reitasu exploded from the top of the lieutenant of sector 6, zin's body clearly postured in a down swinging punching motion. Shunpoing a few metres to the side, Izaya managed to avoid the powerful reiatsu enforced punch, it slided straight past him, the colourful punch sending a line directly past his body. Although, he knew this wasn't going to be the only attack that came from Zin.
"I'm not the same as before!" His body seething in the boiling heat, his skin far from cold, almost to the fact he could swear there was permanent damage. Suddenly, he saw a leg sweep come from behind sweeping his entire legs out. As he fell, he simply forced more reiatsu into his hands, and pushed against the air, making a white circle of pressure around his hand as he bounced off sliding back breaking wind as a slid back a few metres. It seemed Zin, was still going in for the attack, as the massive drop kick now came down, he would swiftly dodge the kick by veering off to the left, hopefully the vizard leader continuing through, he would then aim a fast punch to Zin's gut as he flew past. It wouldn't be too heavy, at least, if he got a hit in it would boost Izaya's confident majorly. The kangaroo hoped his movements had improved, thinking that he could maybe suck the the stronger vizard in with attacks, to reply with strong counters. Only time would tell.

- Spoiler:
- I assumed you used your legs to sweep out mine.

This battle was now getting more intense as, at long last, Lieutenant Commander was taking this a bit more seriously after finally learning something from this whole lesson. Much pride and relief was felt within Zin's soul; happy to know that ultimately his knowledge would be passed down. With this type of skill learned, he could see great things happening for Izaya as even from this brief amount of time he's started thinking more on his ass. Taking a swift glance from behind though, all Zin could do was smirk as he got a fierce punch in the gut from his opponent.
"Not bad, not bad at all. I'm glad some of this is finally starting to sink in with ya'!" Spoke Zin in an amused matter, before quickly grabbing on to Izaya's hand; making sure his grip would reduce the chance of him escaping. "It's kind of a terrible move to come into such close range..." A bright flash of white light could briefly be seen from Zin's eyes as this signaled the beginning of his next assault. Very soon afterward, Zin would use the heat generating from his own body, reitsu and surroundings in order to send waves of intense heat throughout Izaya's body.
If it were achieved correctly, one of the side effects of this could be the development of a more rash, aggressive behavior. This would be caused by the heat stress placed on the body and could result in bad judgments during battle. At the very least, this type of heat would cause him to think on his ass some more. Not only that, but he could suffer serious signs of Dehydration such as difficulty breathing, Dim vision, confusion and weakness as the brain and other bod organs would receive less blood. And, if untreated, coma, organ failure and death eventually will occur if the dehydration remains in effect.
And, even if that move was not a direct hit, Zin would attempt to somehow touch another part of Izaya's body in order to ignite a small, but powerful explosion across his body. If this move were able to happen Izaya could possibly suffer third or fourth degree burns that have the ability to extends through skin, subcutaneous tissue and into underlying muscle and bone. If that were to occur significant functional impairment, damaged skin and burns would appear across his entire body. Not only that, but he would also suffer some type of hearing damage through the sound resulting from his explosion. This could cause him to be temporarily deafened and lose track of his nervous system coupled together with the fact his body would be severely shaken.
On top that, if he were able to be successfully confused, Zin would toss Izaya across the training chamber and into a wall. From there, he would take off like a bat out of hell and use his own strength, the force from the speed he was dishing out and the flames in order to deliver one massively insane blow to the gut. If this attack were to work, firstly he would suffer some serious back pain from being tossed so hard. From there, if he got hit, Izaya would feel very intense pain at his gut; enough to warrant a vomiting almost. The pain would hopefully blind him for awhile so that Zin could also deliver a sharp uppercut to the chin that would have enough force to send him flying upwards into the ceiling.
Spitting on the ground for a brief second, Zin would then make an attempt at punching the air with enough force and speed in order to create three air wavesIf these sound waves were to hit Izaya, it would then cause immense damage to his hearing once more due the loudness generating around him. It would also have the ability to crush bones due to it's already extreme force.
"That was a nice punch to the gut though..." Zin silently commented as he rubbed the place where Izaya was able to make a direct hit on.
