Saisei | The Vandenreich Frontline
Though Saisei's intentions were pure, it was clear that he wasn't exactly welcomed. The idea of doing things for the woman was but a simple nature that he followed. Helping those in need, even when that need is miniscule, was the right thing to do. Watching her as she struggled under the covers was comical but worrying. Such a sight was one for sore eyes thought the boy. It was rare to hear someone laugh so genuinely, the world was filled with rather sad moments these days. Maria was a breath of fresh air for Saisei despite her clear sickness.
She had made herself clear, shooing him away without hesitation. Food was out of the question and, if he wasn't actually going to do anything for her, the best option would likely be the final one. As if a wave of anguish had washed over her, Maria shuffled herself back under the rainbow themed blanket and sunk further into the couch.
Saisei frowned, his own worry growing by the second as she spoke. Her pale skin, her weak words, the request for him to leave. All these things did was culminate to an instinct he had since birth, the instinct to aid others. He leapt to her side, dropping to a single knee next to Helle's couch. Though his movements were rash, the sounds and actions he followed with were gentle and delicate.
"I-I don't mean to overstep any boundaries, Maria, but I can't help but ask... Are you sure you'll be fine?"
Saisei was forward, Maria might find it overbearing almost. As he knelt next to the couch, the man's energy began to leak from his being without much effort. It was always like this, he wore his heart on his sleeve and with that came a myriad of problems. The gentle orange hew began to light the room with a beautiful hue, a gentle warmth exuding from his body. Saisei's will had made itself present as he reached out to Maria with his left hand, making sure to be as slow and docile as possible.
"I can't just leave a friend of Helle's to fend for herself when pained, my teacher would be disappointed. I would be disappointed..."
It was clearly the worst decision Saisei could have ever made in the immediate moment. Nevertheless, he couldn't fight his nature. It drove him to do things that others would simply refuse. It was a sad reality he lived.

She really did wish that he would just leave, trying to comfort her wasn't going to end well for either of them. Maria groaned in despair, instead opting to turn her back to the man and face the couch, curling more into herself in an attempt to make herself feel smaller. Her fangs poked and pinched at lips, but her tongue was quick to dart out and lick at the wound before any blood fell. She felt so damn tired, she just wanted to sleep her life away. Her eyes drooped under the blanket and she honestly would have just let herself drift away, if Saisei didn't force himself into her personal space, for the fiftieth time. She sighed, preparing to force herself up to tell escort him out herself.
"Really now, I said---"
But the smell in the air stopped Mimi dead in her tracks. Her body stiffened and she could feel herself choking on the energy in the air. What was he doing? Why was the air suddenly so tainted with his energy? She felt like she was going to drown. Her throat constricted and her fangs practically shot out of mouth, making the woman practically jump out of couch, the blankets being strewn about from her rush. Bloody orange eyes locked on to the pink haired man kneeling before her. The room glowed a brilliant orange shine that seemed to reflect off of everything. She could feel her self control slipping as she stared at the mans eyes, while her own were blown wide and her stare unnatural. Her mind screamed at her to go forth, to replenish herself on the meal before her and feast, but her body trembled and hesitated. Tears began to stream down her face as she cried, she didn't want to attack Saisei, she didn't want to be a mindless beast and violate the man who was trying to help her by taking advantage of him. The thought made her cry harder, it terrified her to become someone like Anton, but despite all of her tears she couldn't stop her body from lurching forward to the human.
He could stop her, she knew he could. Despite all of her swagger, the sueki woman knew she wasn't she wasn't stronger than the man before. But that didn't stop her instinct from trying to take a bite out of the man anyway. Maria lunged towards Saisei's neck, her mind lost to the hunger, attempting to get a bite from his inviting and luscious neck. At the same time, her hunger, in all its greed, attempted to also suck up the energy the man let loose in the room. She clamored on the man like a child, like he was a new toy in her newborn like mind that she couldn't take her hands off of. This was the worst possible outcome.

Saisei | The Vandenreich Frontline
It was in Saisei's nature to care for others. Ever since he was a child, his upbringing consisted of helping others whether he was asked to or not. As a son to nobles, this was the last thing many in the Sugiura Realm expected. Despite that, it was all he was known for. Even now, Saisei was but a boy trying to help Earth and her people. Maria, contrary to what she may believe, was exactly one of those very people he sought to save. Her demeanor, while aggressive, was something that felt more like a façade than a truth. Clearly, that's what led him to kneel before her in hopes of helping.
That hope had soon faded, however. Her harsh words and rough actions spoke all too well to the pink-haired boy. In a failed attempt to rid herself of Saisei's presence, Maria soon found herself overwhelmed. By what, he couldn't really tell. All he knew was the Sueki woman was clearly distressed, those bright eyes of liquid gold couldn't speak any louder. Before long, Maria took Saisei's figure in full, finally leaping from the couch in an attempt to satiate herself.
"Hngh..."
His cries fell silent in the rather calm state of Helle's living quarters. Saisei was faster, he was stronger, there was no objective way that Maria Sarasti could overpower him. She had no right in the world to find herself clung to the young man, her disgruntled jerks and grunts leaving him... sad, disheartened even. It was clear that Maria had issues that no one but her could solve, not even someone so intent on helping everyone could solve such deeply rooted issues. Nevertheless, Saisei would do the best he could in the interim.
Fangs as sharp as needles dug into his lower neck, the sharp pain coursing through his veins as she worked the blood from his body. Not only did his veins begin to slowly drain and color escaped his vibrant skin, Saisei's own energy from prior had begun to gently leave the atmosphere of the room. Maria took anything and everything she could from the man, it was of course in her nature to be greedy. As a woman so intent on flaunting her money, her greed for the recruit's energy and blood was expected.
Saisei was not defenseless, the Sueki's nails digging in to his chest and drawing blood. He allowed the woman to do as she pleased, it wasn't his place to allow someone's death in such a horrible way. He couldn't help but sit firmly, hardening his body in an attempt to not be thrown over. As she fed, he couldn't help but worry that Loukas would end up just as Maria was now. Was Saisei going to become fodder for the Sueki of the City? Would he become a person only meant to save those from starving? He knew that wasn't the case but the fear of the two of them seeing him... well, as a cow almost, was disconcerting.
"It's alright. I'm sorry..."
His finals words were rather lackluster, only the emotion of sorrow and regret oozing from the boy's lips. Saisei was truly and wholeheartedly apologetic about what he had done, what he brought upon the woman. He was a criminal, no ifs ands and buts. All he could do now was allow her to have peace.
Resting his hands in the small of her back to, again, harden his figure from falling over, Saisei began to tear up. He tried as much as he could to comfort her, the tears beginning to fall silently along his drained cheeks. His sorrow was immeasurable, all the boy knew was the pain of others. Why must those of Earth's land suffer, why couldn't Saisei ease the pain of every being he came into contact with? He didn't care if others cared for him, moments like these with Maria only cemented that his failure was of course, just that, failure.
Turning away, Saisei simply sat, waiting for Maria Sarasti to conclude her way with him. He was preoccupied, his firm hands being the only thing keeping him from slouching over and passing out. His bloodied skin shown in an almost sickly way as he quietly sobbed to himself. This wasn't what he wished for others, he could only share in their pain.
Saisei was a failure, through and through.

Tears streaked down Maria's pale face that slowly began to fill with life once more. Her body had started to tremble as she neared being overstuffed in her intake. She couldn't help the greed that overcame her as she selfishly attempted to drain Saisei, her mind a blank canvas with only hunger fueling her. With every slurp it slowly started to draw her back to reality, a reality she desperately wished was just a bad, awful dream. The reality that ripped her from a simple existence of just drinking into the truth about what she was doing, why she was here, and how she got there. Her mind was clearing too fast and before she knew what was what happening, she became aware of a hand rubbing comforting circles on her back, and the taste of forbidden nectar filling her mouth. She froze, wanting to spit it out and throw up, but she couldn't stop the horror of her body refusing her brain and instead swallowed the red liquid, even going as far as to drunkenly kiss the mark on the pale skin as a 'thank you'.
Feeling like she was going to have a mini panic attack as her body and mind fought for control, Mimi began to shake violently and when she tried to push herself off of the man she attacked, but she found that her body's response was lackluster. Her movement feeble and weaker than normal. She tried to speak, but the only thing to escape her was gibberish and that only made her cry harder. Her body acted like it was an entirely different person, while her mind screamed in agony. How could she let this happen? Of all things to get her to feed, actually attacking a person was the worst thing she could ever experience. Even if it was his fault, she's been a sueki long enough to know better. She knew she could have gone to the hospital, before it had gotten too late she was going to have to suck it up and get a blood bag, she knew this. So, why? Why did she lose her control? Why was she so pathetic?
She continued to try to fight against the mans body, but it didn't look like much of a struggle. Maria could feel her mind beginning to cloud over again, and this sent her into an even deeper panic. Why was she feeling like she was about to fall? Did she really consume that much? Guilt overtook her and gave enough strength to fight against the barrier that blocked her mind and body from being one. Finally back in control, Maria feebly crawled away from the man, ignoring anything he had to say or denying him the ability to touch her. She couldn't face him, it would break her, she just wanted to sink into the ground and die, to never reappear again.
She crawled to the couch and attempted to heave herself onto it, but that plan quickly failed. Instead, the sueki sat there, face buried in her arms on the couch as she sobbed a multitude of "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry, I'm sorry..." to Saisei as her heart broke into a million pieces. Her mind was barely there anymore, the cloud of fake tranquility blanketing over her. She didn't want it to end with this, with her babbled apologies like she was some child, but how could she face the man she basically just violated? Even if he forgave her, even if they put this behind themselves, she could never look at him again without this popping into her mind. But with the fake promise of a better world inside her mind, Maria drifted away into her unconscious, a place to rival the terrifying reality she faced, her body going slack, but her tears never-ending.

Saisei | The Vandenreich Frontline
Though he tried his best to not take notice, Saisei couldn't help but realize that the woman was completely incoherent. It was all too clear that she was without thought, let alone a conscience. It was whatever, Saisei had accepted the circumstances and did he best to comfort her until she came to her sense. It wasn't long,, the energy and blood he had proved was enough to rival her draining an elephant of its blood entirely. Impressive, sure. A tad terrifying? Yeah, most definitely.
As she came back to her senses, Maria's weak shifts and shoves were met with little to no objection. The young man was distraught, the woman's demeanor and weak stature was even more concerning than before given she had just fed. As he tried to apologize, her grunts and garbled speech had left him without words. She was effectively telling him to stay silent, his words meant nothing in the moments that passed from here on out. She finally turned from him, back to the couch and began to crawl along the stained floor.
Struggle as she might, Maria couldn't lift a finger to climb the couch. Belting out apology after apology, the woman cried herself into a deep sleep before long. There he sat, staring at her shriveled form, thinking what he could have done other than leave. He felt that he had no choice than to accept her request for him to vacate the premises. Saisei said no, now he was here. Yet another failure in this wonderful little life of his.
Standing, Saisei wiped at his neck and began to smear the freshly clotted holes of his neck. Looking to the stained floor, the woman and then back to a nearby mirror, he sighed. What a mess he had made. Moving to the couch, the young man took Maria's form into his arms and gently placed her along the couch, passing out on the floor of a friend was far from ideal. Taking her now stained rainbow blanket and quietly tucking her end, Saisei moved to the hallway and began his due diligence as a problem maker.
Taking bleach and a rag from the closet, he went on his way with cleaning up the crimson stains soaking Helle's carpet. Working far quicker than he liked, he did his best to remove the stains and replaced the cleaning supplies to her hall closet. With that, Saisei went on his way. He had no right to stick around, heading to the door without what he had originally come for. For someone coming for a simple book, Saisei left with a feeling of dread that would shake him to his core.
Taking one more look back to Maria's now sleeping figure, the young man shook his head and closed the front door behind him. What a way to end one's day, as fodder. He wished all the best for Maria, for this was likely the first and last time he'd ever share such a moment with her. After all, she would never see him in the same light again. She fed from him, something many Sueki took very seriously.
In the aftermath of the events, Maria would find a note addressed to her and Ms. Armstrong, wishing the best for them and their friendship. Hoping that she'd at least try to explain things to Helle in a fair way, Saisei couldn't do anything but apologize by the end of the note. He did wrong and would atone for it however he could. Signing himself off with a simple 'Sorry', the note ended without much learned about the situation. Hopefully, Maria would at least understand how he felt about his actions.
Saisei returned to his dormitory, ending his day with a simple journal entry titled "The Day That Clouded My Vision." The entry spoke of the City's Sueki, Maria and Loukas, and the organization itself. The day left Saisei with a sense of concern and doubt, his stance on his position falling into question. First, the reports to Ninsianna, and now the Maria mess. It was clear he'd find himself in quite the pickle sooner or later. The entry simple reconfirmed one's concerns.
Saisei was beginning to lose faith.
