Drinks After Work [Murasaki/Alastor]

What did he do now? Crud, he had no idea how to answer this question. The top was waved off by merit of the colours but this threw him for a loop. Think dummy think, on the upside the longer he took to try and consider what she might want to wear meant the longer he had to appreciate the view. Imagine admitting defeat though, no way. Not over clothes.

His memory went back to his sister, she always seemed to wear leggings didn't she? A skirt and leggings.. with boots below the knee. Thanks sister who he hadn't seen in a while, been a while since she came home after running off to go do her own thing.

"Yeah, the skirt and leggings. Probably look pretty cool with some boots as well."

Now he really looked like he knew his stuff.

"Yeah, that's what I'd been thinkin' too, it's way cuter. Though I do think I rock the mom jeans pretty well, ya know. They make a good pair of legs look that much better."

That sort of pride in her appearance honestly wouldn't have been much to think about normally, but in this particular situation, when her appearance was already front and center, she realized it was thoroughly embarrassing to bring up. No, no, no! No getting embarrassed! Let him look, that's good!

"Okay, well obviously we gotta go with boots with that, it's just sort of the normal way to go with all this, obviously. Oh, earrings too... Feathers? I usually wear that kind of stuff though, should I mix it up?"

Her gaze once more looked to him, not quite expectantly, but definitely ready for an answer from him. Though, honestly, just looking at him was kinda nice too.

Man. He was getting good at this, he sure looked like he knew his stuff. That was the super impressive part he thought. Who know his pain in the butt of a sister would come in clutch like that?

"Well yeah. You can rock anything though."

He did think the fact she was so tall added more to the she had a lot more sexy appeal rather than cute, if it wasn't really for the fact of her attitude that raised up that cute factor by a fair bit. She could probably do both, realistically speaking. Yeah.

"Mmm. Feathers work, yeah. It kind of works for you. Dunno what about it though."

Alastor leaned forward over the desk. Thinking about the whole situation a bit but mostly thinking about her.

"Heheen, that's pretty true, I can."

Shooting him a confident grin after that, Murasaki finally started actually slipping everything on, admittedly taking a little bit more time than she usually would to do so. She'd committed to this path at this point, and she definitely knew a thing or two about making a show of getting dressed.

"Think so? Yeah, I getcha, sometimes some stuff just works on some people. I think you might actually be able to pull off some nice jewelry, you know. Maybe some earrings? I bet it'd look pretty hot."

Well, that was just sort of the way she'd describe looking good in fashion terms, but as she said it, she very quickly realized how that would actually come out in a situation like this. Um...alright, that was fine. No biggie. Progress!

The whole thing was an ordeal. She enjoyed this, if she were a more cruel captain he'd imagine she was baiting him but that wasn't in Murasaki's style. She was way too nice which is why it sucked when she looked sad or down, rough times in the past. This Murasaki was way more enjoyable to be around. Easily the best captain, the other ones really put him off for some reason. They all seemed so distant, like they stood on their plataeu or downright dangerous to even be around.

"Hmm? Ahah, nah. That'd just hurt in a fight you know? Imagine a fist connecting with one."

Alastor said, trying to keep himself on the game until she was all done and clothed. What a way to tease a guy, sheesh. He had to remind himself to look for a chance to get his shirt off in payback. He knew he rocked a pretty good upperbody.

"Alright. Good to go, yeah?"

"Well that's why you don't wear 'em into a fight, silly. I'd be pretty upset if someone tugged these off in a fight, you know."

After everything was all said and done, Murasaki picked out a nice set of feathers for each ear, and another to tuck neatly into her ponytail, smiling confidently to herself as she looked over to Alastor. She definitely looked pretty hot, but then again, so did he. This'd be a good trip!

"Yep yep, all good to go. Lead the way, Mr. Man."

"Yeah but I'd just forget to be honest. Like seriously, sometimes I forget to.. Nevermind."

No need to make himself look like an idiot this far into the whole thing, she was ready though and that gave him a reason to take her by the hand and lead her along. More to not give her a chance to follow up on what he might've said and not thinking about the fact he was just leading his captain through the makeshift barracks by the hand in casual clothes.

"Did you eat today? I can get you something if you haven't eaten today. There's some pretty good spots for food along the way I think. It's pretty close so they're all nice."

"Aw, darn."

Her curiosity really couldn't help but feel the need to be appeased, even if he didn't seem to want to talk about it. Taking her hand without even asking though, that really got her good, and she actually bit her lip a bit in response to it. Wow, that was nice, she liked that.

"Um... Nope, I actually totally forgot to, other than a few snacks here and there, and some sake. Nothin' filling though."

The captain hadn't eaten? Say no more. He was on it, opening up the memory bank to try and remember what kind of places he knew of along the way. What would she even like to eat? He wondered whether he should ask or try and surprise her. He was sure she'd given him a few hints of places in the past but that wasn't taking into account of how she might be feeling, right now.

"Alright. So Murasaki. What do you feel like right now?"

He had to be specific. No point getting her something to eat she didn't want to eat at the moment. What kind of guy would do that? He made sure not to call her captain.

What a gentleman he was, taking her right along to grab a bite. It was super endearing, honestly, Murasaki really liked that. Thinking it over a bit, she admittedly took a little more time than she normally would have, just to enjoy walking along hand in hand.

"Mmm... There's honestly a lot of really good stuff around, it's a little tough to choose. I could go for anything really."

As childish as it sounded, there was something really nice about just hearing him say her name. It was always just Captain when they were working, and naturally she'd be mad at him if he used anything else. But, ya know. It was nice to just be a girl.
