Darkness and chill.

Freezing daggers of rain hailed from the winter sky as thick dark clouds blotted out any light given off from the moon and stars. The seafront was barren of water, not a drop left behind as the harsh rain littered the wet sands, the settling fog only adding to the low visibility. The only things giving off any manner of light were nearby cities, and even then they only appeared to be faint glows upon a dark grey canvas, mere hints being the only thing verifying their place.

The winds would batter down on any who were out to experience it, appearing to carry the howls and cries of the lost, cruelly ripping at any who lay subject to them. The rain battered down as it had hours before, flashes of lightning occasionally lighting the sky.

Any witnessing the sea’s unusually recession, particularly those of curious nature who think it wise to go out and see where the water had gone, would soon be faced with an eerie sight.

Far off in the murky horizon, a strange shape would form. With how treacherous the night has been, it may be difficult to tell what it is initially, but a careful eye would soon come to realize the shocking truth:

A massive wall of water, several meters high, far larger than any recorded wave, coming directly towards land. It shimmered with an unfamiliar energy, merely adding to the unknown and terror of such a sight. It’s movements were almost guided, like something was holding so much water at bay, merely to let it loose once they travelled a certain point. The sea wall would slowly get larger and larger from any on shore’s perspective, anyone with the ability to sense energy or possessing a device would surely know that whatever was coming their way, it was big.

Occasionally, an eerie noise could be heard coming closer, and closer… A low, bellowing groan. It sounds like nothing of this life… Nothing to the imagination… Merely, sinking terror to accompany the catastrophe which soon would touch land…

ULV AUBER| INFERNO VIZARD QUEEN

Stepping out of a Garganta, the large muscle woman that was Ulv looked upon the situation. She was clad in an elegant blue dress, seemingly made out of the Wind itself, and the howling banshees around her gave her a berth in deference. She wasn't here for the tidal wave itself, the city had heroes for that. And stopping something like this gave one confidence in their place to help others. No, she was here for the thing behind the tidal wave, that was coming closer and closer. It was big, and her Reikaku was lighting up with it's approaching presence.

That wasn't to say that if the tidal wave got to close, she wasn't going to vaporise it with Ignis Ragna, just that she wasn't going to appear and snap her fingers. That both set a bad precedent and overshadowed the next generation. Nothing comes from celestial dominance, after all...

"But what the hell are you?" She muttered softly to herself, arms crossed and staring into the sea. Her energy wasn't great these days, she couldn't just throw release states around willy nilly, so she would need to know what they were facing before making any kind of decision.

His Squad came through the senkaimon, well some of them he'd brought a seated officer and left him to get people to safety. His eyes looked from above at the sea, he'd taken position standing in the air. He didn't draw his blade as of yet or make any moves. Surveying the situation as he considered what he'd gotten into.

First response, he'd gotten here first ahead of any others. Upon examining the water and waves weren't acting normally. Something was going on, it wasn't a natural phenomenon from what he could tell. He wasn't a scientist like others. NOr did he have a degree in water, but his instinct told him it wasn't natural.

His eyes looked over to where he'd sent his seated member. He was concerned, hopeful nothing came of it. His eyes began to glow as he let his reiryoku channel towards them. Focusing as he tried to glean what information he could.

The people needed to be protected first and foremost, he could have gone that way it was true. But if a threat came from here, it would attack and harm them. Dividing was the right call he just had to believe in that. He tried to think about what Zin or Colin would do in the situation. He couldn't get anywhere with that, he was him. No point in figuring out what those who weren't here would not help.

So it left him with a paradox, did he attack right now. But what would he be attacking, scanning the ocean was his best bet? Using a step he got to the land, his eyes looking at the massive wall of water. He sensed a familiar presence, Ulv Auber was here. Well, that was comforting, he guessed she had no idea what it was either.

The sound it made, reminded him of cinema horror movies he'd watch when part of the Vizard Core. Could he reasonable stop the wall of water, he could use his Zanpakuto powers. But he had ordered his Squad not to use them unless absolutely needed. Ulv was letting it be for now, did she know more? Or was she watching to see what he and others would do?

Asking her questions at this point didn't seem wise. He put his hand on his Zanpakuto slowly. His digits curling around the blade's hilt. This seemed like it would be getting messy and quickly.

Song: Funkyard - By: Arrowhead & Zentra - Word Count: N/A

A portal of darkness seemed to unfold from the darkness of the storm; and through that portal came a demon. Arianda tilted her head as she looked towards the tidal wave that bore down towards Japan. Not to mention, the demon had arrived near her friend Ulv; giving the woman a friendly smile before she continued to evaluate the situation. Any doubts that this tide was natural or otherwise were immediately thrown out the window; especially due to the immense presence that bore behind the wave. Not to mention, the eerie noise that seemed to get closer along with the wave; a groan of some beast unknown to this plane. Perhaps one not even known to the beings from the other planes, be it demon world or the Soul Society.

Arianda had not worn anything out of the ordinary, wearing her normal clothing; staring at the wave with a great deal of interest. In the meantime, Arianda directed her senses towards those who she assumed would be her allies; at least, as far as the unknown Shinigami went. One of Captain Level, judging by the white Haori she could vaguely see, and the rest of a lower level; most of whom were likely assisting the civilians in the city. Arianda eventually pulled her gaze away from that odd captain, and bore her gaze towards Ulv; who she was relatively close to. Still doing alright, despite everything; Arianda intended to give her another smile, if Ulv saw Ari. However, she eventually looked back towards the wave and what lay behind it.

What was the creature? Why was it attacking Japan? Aside from the fact that Japan appeared to play victim to quite a lot of... monstrous events. Regardless, Arianda couldn't help but be curious. She remained curious as the demon took a seat on air; making certain her skirt was not showing off anything. Whatever this being was, Arianda was sure everything was not going to be quiet this night.

The cold pelting of rain overshadowed much of the natural ambience, as if the spirit of the sea itself was attempting to overtake land. The titanic wall of water’s advances seemed to slow for a moment, until it suddenly stopped a few miles off of shore. Apart from the rain piercing the sands and earth, there was not a single sound or movement from the being approaching the shore, disguised amongst the wall…

Until, a sickly glow ignited from the murky waters, the clearest being three sets of eyes, glowing a bright purple as a bellowing roar would rip through the air, sounding far more aggressive and direct of the beings before it than previously, the shockwave . A malicious aura could be felt from the creature, the desire to harm apparent as the tidal wall would grow in size, white foaming waves crashing forth as the beast advanced forth far faster than before, rapidly encroaching upon the dry lands.

If the wall was not stopped, it would crash into the shore, beginning a long journey of destruction, rather ominously focused towards one point… Karakura Central.

The situation came to him, the violence and ominous energy behind it. No making friends today, samples may have been out of the question as well. He pulled his sword from the sheath, the wave needed to be stopped. First and foremost, it couldn't be allowed to hit the shore. "Push Niutonas." Activating his Zanpakuto, he released his Shikai. The familiar feeling of his Zanpakuto's presence gave him comfort.

He couldn't progress any further than this though, he'd not yet been able to unlock his Bankai. He'd gotten closer to it, but hadn't sealed the deal as of yet. His Zanpakuto morphed a blue orb spawned covering it as the ground shuddered under the weight. A small ball and chai appear at the end of it, the size of a tennis ball roughly.

The question became what power to use, this thing was massive, hurting it didn't mean stopping the wave. His mind went through the kido spells he knew, none of them came up to the situation. His hollow powers also came up short, he had one idea. But it was only to buy time, slowly he brought his blade up.

Rushing wouldn't do anything, but four small orbs fired outwards. Forming a box around the tidal wave, they began pushing out ten times the earth's gravitational pull. He needed to watch this now as he'd need to cut the power. He wasn't sure what this would do, but it could contain the wave hopefully. The rectangle like shape around it created a pull that hopefully helped.

He brought a hand up, considering the mask now. The fight was beginning and while it seemed hasty, he lowered his hand. For right now he needed to do something about the creature and wave. But also be wary of the two on either side of him.

Big tidal wave wasn't stopping, and if it hit the city it would make a damned mess. Jaden was using his Gravity to push it back, but that amount of power wasn't something that Jaden could stop alone. Spread about over a massive area though it was, the total force was beyond anything Ulv could ever hope to put out. It was humbling sometimes, to remember that however strong a person could get in life, Nature was stronger.

So, Ulv hoped down and began to dance on the beach, filling the air with a beautiful song as she did.
"Kaze ni toban el ragna. Sadame to chigiri kawashite. Kaze ni yukan el ragna. Todorokishi tsubasa"

In response to this, the wind picked up violently, spiralling a gale around Ulv and picking up power every second that she moved and sung. The whistling of the wind seemed as if it was singing along with her, a duet to delight all who could listen, and protect that which was needed. The gale would stretch out, picking up half the beach as it did an enter into a cycling wall of wind that billowed outwards against the oncoming water.

It was quite unfortunate that Arianda hadn't quite perfected her Tulpa; given its defensive properties. However, she was uncertain if a simple shield could truly, and honestly, help her in a situation in which thousands of gallons of water were pounding towards the shore; being pushed on by some form of monster under the water. Whatever it was, whatever it desired, aside from destruction, there was certainly the pressing matter of the waves. Arianda watched as Ulv, and the man unknown to her, started to take action to combat the wave. As Arianda watched, she did her best to formulate an idea of what to do. The best she could think of doing, was to try and displace the energy of the wave; to keep it from pushing forward. However, if there was a creature pushing the wave... just stopping the wave wouldn't fully stop the destruction; perhaps lessen it.

In response to what Ulv and the man did, Arianda moved a bit closer to the city, weaving energy around her hand until she held a spear of pure energy; loosing it with a rather powerful throw. The blue spear was bound for the waves. Arianda was attempting to cause an explosion with the spear to create an opposing force that would push back at the wave. Simply, she was wanting to slow it down and try to help the others. However, she was not intent on trying to engage the beast until it was out of the water; until she knew more. Arianda had no idea what that beast could do. In the meantime, Arianda threw her spears at a few strategic locations; ones that would assist with what the other two were doing to try and slow, if not stop, the wave.

Arianda had a feeling that she was ill equipped to stop such things. However, Arianda would still do her best. After all, even if Japan had only been her home for the last year or two, she did not desire for the innocent to become harmed if she could help it. So, Arianda kept throwing spears every now and then; doing her best to assist without draining herself. Most important of all, Arianda kept a close eye on the three glowing sets of eyes that shone from the beastly shadow in the ocean. Whatever that beast was, it was obvious it was dead-set to crush whatever lay in its path of destruction.

Enter the Shinigami

Artist: Carrotwine - Song: Dark Side Of The Road

Momo heard the horrors of a huge tidal wave coming towards Karakura Central. So she had to act fast, opening a senkimon towards the location, landing atop a house nearby, she could feel three energy signatures on the shoreline. Quickly she shunpoe'd downwards towards them.

She could see Ulv and an unknown demon and shinigami do whatever they can do hold back these winds. One was a beautiful song and something else she hasn't seen before. Looking back she could see people running away, some already left. She had to get these people out as soon as possible.

The waves were powerful in that violent way of storms and their roar echoed across the sea towards land. The wind lashed in a torrent of its own as if determined to strike fear into the hearts of many. Some gusty trees creaked so loud it was more like screaming below the gale.

And this creature, it was like it came from another dinension. She could only see its eyes but the size was perhaps gargantuan compared to an average house.

Regardless, she couldn't let this happen. With a few incantations she made a clone of herself to help out with the locals, while she focused on the task before her.

She started by extending her arms, making hand gestures and announcing these words.
Brethren-in-arms withdrawing for the distance of 8 sun and standing still; blue bolt, white bolt, black bolt, red bolt; sinking into the ocean together seeking redemption. Once said she would create what appeared to be 3 dozen pillars, creating a gigantic shield between the three some reached across the entire shoreline. Others were reinforced. It was equivalent to that of a large dam.

With the combined efforts of those who resided on the beach, the colossal wave was forced to a halt by the various forces vying against it's destructive trail. All was suddenly quiet behind the wall of defenses, the swirling of water quickly hushing, however despite the push to stop the wave, the wall of water did not diminish, at least not entirely. It merely stood behind the barriers, still, quiet, as if in silent contemplation..

Disturbing silence...

...

As if it could get any darker, above the beach-dwelling figure's heads did it suddenly get darker, far darker than the surrounding area, for a moment. The rain ceased pelting their bodies as well, despite stabbing into the earth not too far away. At least.. For a moment.

Any who looked up would have a difficult time seeing anything wrong due to the rain, but those with a keen eye would see strange disturbances in the sky, as if one massive being was flying high overhead, only further evident with the ocean water behind the creature surging upwards to meet it over the blockage, the rain that was pelting on the ground suddenly rising, forming a large pool at the assailant's feet, tendrils of water lashing out to attack and attempt to stop and subdue the being's attackers.
