He'd come back to this landscape the hellish decor something familiar. Astaroth had seen and what was more been through demon world prior. But never did he stop in the city. There were multiple layers and reasons as stars in the human sky. But the main one was his lack of interest in fighting.
His sister's organization was a room of long knives, everyone jocking for positions or trying this or that. Astaroth saw the politics and the power plays of it all tedious. He'd rather spend a day in a book, then an hour dealing with the mechanisms of some Demon.
So he went to the one place one would expect to find a bookworm of the Asthavon family. Into the library sat at a table with six to seven books tall in stacks. His aura was free to rub off on the area. It was a nice treat to be home.
His digits ran over the book slowly as he considered the events that had transpired. The demon race was very much divided. They couldn't agree on anything, even he felt his blood rilled up by Algos. But now that moment had passed, his powers and perception his own again.
His blood no longer boiled and his mind once again spoke of logic and reason. Astaroth leaned his frame back as he felt his familiar Tobias the Raven slowly peck his cheek.
He gently ran a hand along with the bird's head as he opened a book now. He would read simply to read, that was the enjoyment of books. Didn't matter the subject, this was his kingdom of knowledge and peace.
One where he could remain idle in this labyrinth of knowledge.
