Time for Things to get Demonic! [Private: Hiroi/Kimitsuki]

That was unhelpful, despite Kimitsuki’s best attempts to explain. Focus? Hiroi can focus well enough without being told to. The problem is if she even has energy to call upon. Kimitsuki’s is so simple. It’s fire. She knows what to call on. Hiroi doesn’t know what she has to call on. She is just hungry a lot of the time. She probably has some form of energy, whether it be something specific or just regular demonic energy. Focus. Mmm… Well, she’ll try.

She’s unsure what taking the dragon around her neck’s warmth means, but it can’t be that hard, right? Closing her eyes and concentrating on it, she gravitates around how to get that warmth to her hand. She just has to transfer it from her neck to her hand. Mmm… Hiroi focused. Nothing seemed to happen however. Moving the heat from her neck to her hand is proving annoying. And, she is quick to give up with a huff. Though, she decides to try focusing on moving her own energy outward. That actually proved to do something. It wasn’t much. The heat from her neck seemed to react to her energy pulsing slightly, but it didn’t move. Instead, Hiroi’s whole body began to radiate a soft amount of heat that coated around her in an inky black coloring before it winked out just as quickly as it emerged.

Opening her eyes, Hiroi blinked some. She had felt that. She didn’t say anything however and looked rather thoughtful. Slowly, her eyes would move to Kimitsuki before her head tilted as if she didn’t quite understand anything. “That was lackluster.” But, it was something at least. It proved Hiroi has the capability to control the energy inside her, even if it is pitiful. She doesn’t really know how she called on it. She just wanted something to happen and it did.

The dragon speaks! Of course he does. Hiroi was just surprised he decided to speak up now. His words are encouraging at least. Hiroi knows that manipulating any of her energy, even if a tiny bit, means that she has already grown more than what she was a few minutes ago. There is just that feeling that she should be way beyond this and more competent. That is probably just those strange memories coming to bother her again. The idea that she used to be a stronger monster haunts her, but she also would like to return to that level of strength if that past is true. She may want to return there for selfish reasons, but Hiroi has a desire to be of more use to Kimitsuki; more than just someone that eats everything nonstop.

Hiroi doesn’t speak back to Kagutsuchi, but she does nod her head in understanding. Such supportive words. Focus. Focus her energy and force a part of herself to change. Change into what? She doesn’t know. Maybe if she has an image to focus on. Though, what could she focus on? Hiroi’s thoughts slip to that creature she saw in her head, a wave of deja vu and nausea sweeping through her tiny body. Slowly, her eyes closed as she began to envision that creature, focusing entirely on it. Despite having others around her, the world seemed to crumble until only a tiny platform of loose Earth remained at her feet. Even Kagutsuchi disappeared from around her neck. All she can see is the demonic red eyes and the shadowy form of her past self, a still image floating before her.

Then, that image began to move. She could feel her body growing lighter but also heavier. It felt as if she were growing bigger, but that growth is causing her to feel stronger and more capable of greater feats. It feels wrong, like an exterior presence extending a hand out to her and giving her foreign strength that shouldn’t be hers. And then, it became far too much. A wave of energy crashed into her tiny frame, almost toppling her over and pushing her into the abyss beneath her. It is loud, drowns out the noises around her, tastes awful, and makes the poor demon want to shut herself away from it. Though, as soon as it came, it vanished, leaving her alone on that platform with only a smidgeon of that powerful energy within her.

On the physical plane, outside of Hiroi’s mindscape, the others would notice a slight weight to Hiroi that doesn’t equate to much, but it does mean that the small demon has embraced her energy in a way. However, it felt extremely weak and fresh yet carried a powerful scent to it. That energy would recede back into her body and Hiroi’s hair would begin to rise before the shape of it morphed and changed, her black hair separating into clumps as the ends seemed to transmute into obsidian black snakes with beady red eyes that glowed. It was only for a second however before those snakes exploded back into hair strands and fell back to ground as Hiroi began to wobble and sweat profusely. Then, she is falling towards the ground.
