» Why:
During the invasion within the outer layers of China Yoriko was tasked with protecting a group of civilians and soldiers who were in need of assistance from the growing number of infected. Without any hesitation she went out and with the help of Sylvia, Auntie Ari, and others.

While the battle ensued all hell broke loose in terms of destruction everyone blowing the zombies away with abilities she's never seen before and others dealing with something else. The clones she had to produce at a single time whilst managing her spiritual energy to fight the infected was a major toll on the shinigami. Utilizing various techniques to slow them down or outright crush them, there was one instance where she created a fissure into the ground causing them to fall making waves of earth to push them back. Especially where she had to compensate her zanpaktou abilities to prevent the zombies from coming towards the walls and steps while not exerting to much force to crumble the building where the civilians were residing.
