Local Tourist Found Guilty? Probably

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
"I figure it's completely fair that I wound up here, huh?"
Tick... Tick... Tick...
Each tick of the clock let another second slip by. A damp, dark room filled with very light happened to be occupied by a surprisingly calm Human on London's border. Saisei found himself silently waiting, hands crossed against a cold, metal table barely the size of himself. Detained and questioned all for finding interest in visiting somewhere new, how unlucky can one be?
"Keep in mind that you'll be staying here until we've concluded the questioning process. In the mean time, if you have anything you'd like we're all ears." A stern looking man, clearly affiliated with the government, motioned towards the clock as if to say it'll be some time before he's let free. In any case, for someone new to the area he didn't feel very obligated to start poking sleeping dogs.
"If it's alright with you, is there any real chance a kid could get some lunch? I mean, I'm starving."
Gurgling followed Saisei's request, a near auditory yelp from the depths of his stomach. With little to no knowledge of how Europe as a whole worked he had little belief he'd find himself in a makeshift 'holding cell'. Lunch wasn't too much to ask for in his eyes.
"Maybe some tea, too? I definitely didn't foresee myself landing in the joint on my first visit." An almost awkward laughter filled the empty space between the two before Saisei chirped up once again. "I've said it once, I'll say it again. I'm not really sure what the problem is. I've heard a lot about London. I just wanted to learn about it first hand. Just following what I was taught as a kid y'know?"
"Even if you are here to learn, which is extremely doubtful, we still need to know more about your background as a person. If anything, having a background check done before visiting the country would have made a lot more sense, Kid."
Fair enough thought the boy, leaning back in the hard, metal chair he occupied. Fair is fair, and if anything is fair it's that Saisei didn't know even a bit of what he was doing.

KUANASTHA
THE BLACK SHEEP
The weekend was meant to be spent checking up on the palace in London. That's what Kuana came by for to begin with, as a favour to her sister. Not that Mana probably cared much at all for the physical location, but Feng Shui and all that was important to the woman, and Deveta knows the lack of visits to the palace meant there wasn't an ounce of care put into it. To be honest, not enough care was put into much at all these days; everyone in the family seemed extra distant since the start armistice last year. Anyways, plans change.
The hybrid's arrival to London detoured from the palace, where many labourers were anticipating her arrival, and instead to a nearby police station. There were so many karmic threads coming out of the station that Kuana could hardly even see--who the hell could even be in here? Only someone like Mana had threads as dense as these.
"Oh, it's you. But, you're a kid now. How'd that happen?"
A dark cloud spontaneously manifested in the interrogation room, on the other side of the table, and Kuanastha walked out. She spoke like she was familiar with the boy, not that he'd share the sentiment. In fairness, she never new him personally even "before". Just that she knew people who knew him, and in turn saw some memories and instinctively felt like the two were previously acquainted.
Fortunately, Kuanastha caught herself this time. It wasn't the first time she jumped ahead, but her curiosity meant that she wasn't intent on backing away here. The woman pulled out the chair across from the Saisei, turned it around and sat down in a mounted posture, her arms resting on the top of the backrest. Some confusion and protest at who just randomly showed up in the room ocurred, followed by realisation to who Kuanastha was behind the one-sided glass, but the room was sound-proof so none of that came through.
Kuanastha spoke her thoughts allowed with words and intentions that seemed pretty clear to her, but missing the context of her abilities usually left other people confused and in the dark as to what she was talking about.
"Actually, I'm maybe getting ahead of myself. First, why're you here? I'd probe you myself but you seem like a lot of trouble to do that for."

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
Seconds passed, the ticking of the clock continued and Saisei found himself befuddled. Whoever watched him from behind the interrogation room's one-way mirror clearly lacked any interest in him getting food. Food was all that was really on the boy's mind. Learning came second to any kind of food that would find its way under his control. Too bad for him Human's without real excuses didn't get the royal treatment.
Royal treatment aside, it wouldn't look like Saisei would get food anytime soon by the look of things. Before him oozed a cloud of dark smoke, revealing an aggressively focused woman. Her eyes fixated on the boy as he watched her, trying to understand whatever it was she was talking about. That was a problem. What the hell did she mean by "It's you"? Saisei didn't have any idea who or what the lady opposite of him was, let alone how she'd know someone as tiny in the world as him.
"Lady I don't know about you, but I've got n-" Cut sure faster than he could even think, Kuanastha aggressed further, demanding he make clear his intentions. A puzzle looked covered the pink-haired boy's face followed with what could only be considered a scoff.
"I hate to break it to you Lady but I'm not as important as you seem to think. I already told the guy outside why I was here but he refused to believe me."
Shaking his head, Saisei squirmed around in his chair, another gurgle escaping his stomach. "I visited London because I've heard a lot about it from where I'm from. I don't really get why I'm here, the guy said something about a background check? What would I need one of those for? I'm just lookin' to learn about the place and people. I got a knack for following what my Dad always taught me."
A goofy smile filled his lips at the thought of his Dad, Sagumi. seeing him in such a situation.
"I'll answer any question you got. But please. I need something to eat..."

KUANASTHA
THE BLACK SHEEP
It seemed like she came up overly aggressive and forward. That wasn't Kuana's intention, and even now she wasn't really cognisant of it. It was probably the setting that naturally adjusted her demeanor; the woman spent a lot of time in interrogation rooms, typically less formal and legally processing than this one, and usually with high profile subjects or enemies of Inami. Aggression and intimidation was sorta just a part of the job, and by now it was second nature.
"... Alright. I can't tell if you're lying, or you just don't know--maybe some memories were mixed up, so I'll just look for the reason myself. Here, eat something 'cause it'll make it easier for me with you on a full stomach."
A deep indigo cloud came about on the table before disappearing like smoke, and a sandwich on a plate was left behind. Something simple, just peanut butter and jelly. For someone with acuity to energy sensing, they'd note that the sandwich and plate were created from energy, but the two objects were stable and fully realised. The only residue energy to them was the indigo smoke coming off.
"You're gonna have to eat it, because if I probe you and you're too agitated from being hungry, I might make a mistake and fuck you up. Unless you want that. Otherwise, it'll be a smooth and painless process, and you won't even know that I'm doing it."
It was half a bluff. It was true, if Saisei was agitated, it'd make things harder for Kuanastha; fucking him up inadvertently wasn't really likely. The demonio visera was extremely experienced with doing this sort of thing, and she'd only really fuck up if her target proactively resisted her by full-on fighting her. Then again, he could always actually try that too.

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
"Just don't go breaking my head more than it already is, you hear me?"
Saisei couldn't help but find himself confused, more smoke filtering its way from nowhere, sprouting what was clearly, finally, something to eat. Gross, Saisei thought. He wasn't one to be picky but anyone would find it odd to eat something that was effectively just... energy. Sure, all food was effectively energy when you boiled it down to its core. This? This was less than food, it was genuinely just sustenance in a form of an illusion.
"I'm not really a fan of eating what could be considered a glorified plate of energy but I can't really complain, especially given the circumstances." With a sigh, Saisei begrudgingly started his barely edible meal.
Kuanastha sure did make everything she spoke seem scary. Deep down Saisei was just a kid. Telling a kid he might get 'fucked up' isn't really the best line of action. Scarfing his food down without another thought, he shoved a finger in Kuanastha's direction and made his intentions very clear. "I said I'd answer your questions. All I'm asking is you don't mess me up. I said it once and I'm sayin' it again. I already deal with it enough with these bozo's around."
Tossing his head to either side, most would see nothing but thin air. In Kuanastha's case, it was likely that she'd see the past memories of Saisei's in physical form, just as he did. Kamiko and Haruki both waved as if to greet the women. "Don't expect them to say much, I only ever hear or see them when life is going to hell for me."
"Poke and prod all you need to, I'm an open book Ma'am."

KUANASTHA
THE BLACK SHEEP
"I'll do what I can."
His comment on the food got her a little. She was going to wait patiently for him to finish his food, but the two didn't seem to be on the same page, given he was being fairrly ravenous with it.
"What, you got something to say about my cooking? How's the taste?"
It really was just a PB&J. The taste would've been pretty ordinary, but all things tasted in-line, unless any placebo came into play. The bozo comment got her though. Kuanastha let out a brief chuckle, offhandedly gesturing to the glass behind her while saying, "Yeah, yeah, these guys are pretty bozo-ish." It wasn't like they could say anything back anyways, given the glass, and even if they wanted to they wouldn't. Kuanastha may have been the odd-one out in the royal family, but she was an elder Asthavon nonetheless.
"Hey, relax kid. You ate, so things should go well."
Kuanastha started to reach out, not really towards Saisei specifically, but the assorted threads spanning out from him. The process was entirely unfeeling, that he wouldn't even notice if it wasn't for the woman waving her hands around grabbing at and sifting through the air. While sorting through them, the hybrid sorted through her memories, seeing pretty much all she needed to see. More than she needed to see, actually.
"Wow, you're pretty, uh, active for a kid. I hear it's not healthy for young boys to 'practice' so often, but I'm not the most knowledgeable on human biology, so..."
All in all, things checked out. The kid really did come by for the reasons he stated. There were karmic threads that seemed to be pulling him here, some fairly thick ones pulling him towards France too, but it didn't seem like he was aware of that. There were a lot of things he didn't seem to be aware of, but that was probably for a reason. Now that Kuana made certain that he wasn't here to start any trouble, there was no reason to start any trouble with him. More than they had already, but this was necessary. Sorta. At the very least, Kuanastha's curiosity was satiated. Speaking of satiated,
"Alright, you're good to go, kid. I'll tell the goons not to mess with you. Seems like you've... been through a lot. Wanna go get some food? Real food, since you didn't seem too keen on my 'cooking'. As an apology for making you go through this hassle."
The actual interrogation was over, so Kuanastha's tough demeanor dropped. Now, she just had a free, airy feeling about her.

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
"Most people would believe it was put together on a counter, but I'm not most people. It tasted exactly how you'd expect any kind of peanut butter and jelly sandwich to taste. Who even likes PB&J though?" Shaking his head, Saisei leaned to and fro in his chair. Teenagers weren't the best at sitting still, someone like Saisei wasn't exactly known for being a normal teen. He knew there was something different about him compared to other kids. Frankly, the boy has always known. People don't hallucinate on the regular, they don't feel like something is constantly scratching at the back of their mind either.
It was clear Kuanastha knew what she was doing. The process was almost gentle in nature. Assuming the worst, Saisei figured that Kuanastha had to have something up her sleeve. Of course, she didn't. What she labelled as poking and prodding felt more natural to him than most things in life ever did. Her quick comment on being active didn't make much sense to him. What was it that teenagers did? Saisei wasn't really a teen. He was no more a teen than a Man was a Woman. Nevertheless, he let her continue without much objection.
"I tried telling him that I was really just here to learn. Its not every day that you get a chance to meet new people and learn new things. Don't you think?" Standing from his chair, Saisei stretched any limb he could move. The dank room was uncomfortable, the questioning even worse. Kuanastha was pleasant compared to what he had dealt with prior to her stepping in.
Making his way towards the exit, Saisei's ears perked as he turned back towards Kuanastha, the thought of food immediately catching his attention. "The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't special. Food as to be special to taste good. Don't you think?"
Waiting at the doorway for Kuanastha to lead him out of the Police Station, Saisei continued to ponder what the woman meant. She acted as if she knew more about him than he knew himself.
"If it's your treat, I'm game. I get to grill you now, though. It's only fair, when someone acts like they know more about you than even yourself I get first dibs on that information, don't you think?"

KUANASTHA
THE BLACK SHEEP
"Whoa, what the hell? What's wrong with PB and J? Why, are you only good with poached brioche and caviar sandwich? What's to your standards, good sir?"
Kuanastha wasn't seriously too offended, but it was in her humour to joke around like this.
"I dunno, I think it is every day that you get the chance to meet new people and learn new things. You just have to keep your head up so you can see them, talk to them, and the learning will come naturally."
Not that she was one to talk. Kuana was comfortable with conversations, and she did believe in keeping your head up to not miss the things you see in life, to learn on the daily and socialise in general. But, at heart, she was pretty introverted. Even with her family, there wasn't much consistency in meeting with them. Not that her own introversion was going to stop her from recommending socialising to others. The woman never claimed she wasn't a hypocrite.
"I dunno about that. Food doesn't always have to be special. Just as long as you enjoyed it, I think; I don't have to eat food myself, but I like to do things I enjoy, and eating is one of them. Small, totally unspecial things are fine too."
Kuana pushed off from her chair and followed Saisei out the door. If he wasn't game, she would've just vanished and made her way back to the palace, but the invitation was received. She passed by the boy on the way out, putting her hand up to rustle his head before walking past him to lead the way.

This whole affair reminded her of another time. Maybe she really did have a soft spot for kids. Not that it'd ever be admitted.

Saisei | The King's Reincarnation
"Maybe for normal people. I'm not normal. Believe it or not, every seems just a bit different compared to me. Don't you think?" Hanging on every word Kuanastha spoke, Saisei found himself teetering from side to side. She seemed relatively wise for her appearance. While it may seem assumptive, Kuanastha seemed far younger than most who would be questioning a lowly human like himself.
"You think PB&J is a culinary feat? Lady, you're missing out on the joys of life if you're relishing in the taste of PB&J." Shaking his head, Saisei found himself pretty baffled at the woman's words. Even as a 'kid', he knew of better food to fiend over. How could someone find peanut butter and jelly to be a culinary feat in this world? Hell, even in a city such as London, Saisei wasn't stupid. The smell of the streets was all to easy to take in.
Following Kuanastha out of the interrogation room, the boy followed in stride, making sure to keep pace with Kuanastha. Rustling his hair felt natural, most in his life saw him as a tiny kid. 5'8 and still seen as five years old. With a father like Sagumi, he couldn't expect much from other people, let alone real adults.
"NDAs. Like, Non-Disclosure Agreements? I had to sign one of those. Dad figured I shouldn't really be talking about the Sugiura's affairs but I'm not really sure why it was such a big deal." Breaking free of the damp and dark Police Station, Kuanastha and Saisei found themselves once again on the streets of London.
In a world of technological advance, Saisei was in awe at the beauty that was the machine paradise that London was. Everything had to look futuristic back in Karakura and Japan, London clearly took a page out of its own book. Rough, gear-like structures littered street corners and as far as the eye could see.
"Smells good here. Smells kind of like home, just doesn't really look like it. What did you mean by 'Oh it's You.' Do you know me? Where can we eat? Do we have to cheap out or are you some kinda famous Lady?"
Mind buzzing, the boy couldn't help but focus on a million things at once. Could you blame him? In a city like London with the buzz of the streets, smell of the stores and bustling of the people, Saisei had too much to learn in far too little time.

KUANASTHA
THE BLACK SHEEP
He wasn't wrong. It ticked her off to here a teen talk about being special, though. That part of him wasn't unique at all. The PB&J stuff was more important to respond to, though.
"Look, I try to enjoy all my meals, no matter how mundane it can be. I bet people make gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, anyways."
When she passed by and rustled his hair, she couldn't help but feel he was tall for his age. Four years old and only a bit shorter than her, at 5'8? Well, his previous incarnation was pretty tall to be fair. Probably just the inheritance. It was a little cute though, that he tried to maintain her pace. Kuanastha had fairly long legs, and she naturally had the habit of walking fast.
Walking through the hallways, the woman's appearance shifted into a police uniform, her light hair shifting white, and her stature falling to be around the same height as him. By the time they walked out of the station, the transformation was complete, and she looked as though she belonged. Any remnants of an energy signature of her previous self was replaced, none of her demonio visera energy, only that of the nether. Being recognised as Kuanastha would be a hassle, given her status. Besides, it was easier to get to the restaurant she had in mind without being recognised, though she'd have to tell the waiter who she was to actually be able to sit down upon arrival.
"Yeah, Non-disclosure. And you don't have to worry about Sugi stuff. Not many people are going to know much about them in a couple of years, given how off the map they've been. From what I know, they're place isn't even accessible anymore."
Kuanastha was walking ahead until she realised that the boy stopped. Turning around, she smiled a bit at the wonder on his face. Innocence like this was harder to come by than it should've been. Not just in a place like London, but the whole world. A shame, really. The way the world progressed was a cynic's perfect prediction in a lot of ways. It was fortunate that Azure could finally get some peace of mind, even if he had to die to get it.
"Well, slow down their champ. First, we can talk about how I knew you when we sit down. Second, I don't know how this place would remind you of home, from what I know about your home. Third, we'll eat at this place I've been to; I trust their culinary expertise, and I'm sure you will. They don't offer things like PB and J."
Eventually, when she felt like she waited long enough for him or he resumed walking himself, she'd turn about and continue towards the restaurant."
