Hail To The King

An unexpected warmth filled her body, but there didn't seem to be much else going on. Keiko had experienced others putting their reiryoku into her before, such as Takehiko when she was being healed, but a lot of the sensations here were different. That said, the girl chalked it up to just a difference of person and method. Still, she was curious.

"What did that do?"

Oh, she has Ulv's energy now? Does that mean she can do Ulv's techniques? Keiko wanted to ask, but based on how Ulv scolded her before in her room, she felt she hadn't the right. In fact, Keiko felt she didn't have the right to be learning under Ulv at all. It filled her with a great deal of sadness, but it felt like there was no other option to accept it. Accept the lost opportunity, just as she'd have to accept the situation with her legs.

"So, are we going back now?"

There was a bit of hopefulness in her tone, as she was thinking of any possibility that there was more for them to do together, but Keiko was sure to not count on it.

The forceful feeling of being stared at without actually seeing it frightened Keiko a bit, but she had to explain things.

"N-no, that's not what I meant. I know that I need to put the work in. I intend to. I just... I thought that maybe, because of how I've been, you wouldn't want to be the one training me anymore. That I wasn't worthy. I, I'm still going to try my best to do what I love, even with the way I am now, regardless of whether you teach me."

Speaking on the matters of her heart had sadness fill her heart, especially with the feeling that she once again disappointed Ulv.

"S-sorry, Auber-sama."

Keiko still had seeds of self-doubt, taking root in her heart. It seemed to anchor in, for the time being seemingly irresolvable. Her spirits were clearly lifted, however, and she took Ulv's words to heart. It reassured the girl, and though she still didn't feel worthy of Ulv's guidance, she accepted it nonetheless.

"Okay... Thank you, Auber-sama. For everything."

Keiko looked up to the direction she figured Ulv was in, and for the barest moment she had a small smile. After a moment, she started to get fidgety, not sure of what she should do in this situation. Should she say anything anymore? Or just wait for instructions, or should she show assertion and her lifted spirits--these sorts of awkward moments were pretty stressful.

Ulv was right, waiting wasn't something for Keiko. She preferred to do something proactive to expedite the process rather than wait around patiently for something to come her way. That said, there were a lot of things Keiko liked doing and didn't like doing that was bad for her and good for her respectively, and she learned in these times that just doing what you liked wasn't going to have good turnouts. Keiko learned a lot of things in these times.

The lick caught her off guard again, and it sent a shudder down her back. It probably won't ever not be weird, but as usual Keiko attributed to just being one of those things Ulv does.

"I will... be patient, and wait to be healed. Sorry, again, and thanks for everything, Auber-sama."

If Ulv was to set her back in her bed, Keiko then intended to get some proper rest, and go to sleep. This day already exhausted her by a good amount, and it was one of the quickest past-times to practice patience.
