» Appearance Written: As a animalistic Hollow, Anubis takes the form of a larger-than-normal Egyptian Jackal. Anubis' fur is almost all black with the exception of pieces of white bone. This fur is of moderate length and mild thickness. Like his more domesticated animal cousins, this Jackal's fur is rather soft to the touch. The parts of his body that have white bone are more light and flexible. The bone functions as good protection while allowing movement. These spots include his shoulders, hips and rib-cage. Of course, his face is a white hollow mask in the form of a Jackal's muzzle. When his muzzle opens, Anubis' sharp teeth shine, unless covered in blood. Farther up, the canine's big, bright golden eyes glow with curiosity, loneliness and repressed hunger. Next, atop his head sit long black-furred ears. The inner parts of Anubis' ears have golden fur matching his eyes. The following feature of note would be his bone covered shoulders. The bone has a smooth underside attaching to his shoulder while the outer, visible side is more irregular and rough. Going down his body more, onlookers would find the Jackal's back covered in scars of various sizes and shapes. The Hollow acquired these scars throughout his life, fighting to survive. After this, came his fluffy tail. Anubis' tail reaches almost to the ground when relaxed. The last three inches and tip have golden fur instead of the normal black. Now, his long legs below his body. They have lean muscle packed into them. But, this muscle is built for speed while sacrificing power. They can propel Anubis quickly over the ground and make rather agile evasion. But, his attacks lack strength, thus forcing the Hollow to fight faster and longer to win. From the underside, Anubis' Hollow hole is located in the center of his chest.

» Personality:
General Personality: Normally, Anubis has a curious nature. Though, he has learned to be cautious in his Hollow years. However, his inquisitive, want-to-learn side still powers through. Being as young as he was when he died, Anubis never really lost his childish curiosity towards most things. He is usually neutral leaning towards friendly with new people. Even though training is one thing, he highly dislikes fighting for no reason. Thus, he tends to try and befriend, or at least, not make enemies of those he meets. Given this, he has had bad experiences with more aggressive Hollows in the past. Thus, Anubis is reactive in how he approaches new people. So, he'll be friendly at first and adjust his actions as time goes on. For those who become allies to him, Anubis trusts and will help them to the best of his ability. His trust is strong, thus leaving him naive to plots against him by those who call him a friend. And, with those who are hostile, Anubis will defend himself. Though, he'll attempt to be diplomatic first, resorting to violence only as needed. And, he also rarely kills. That happens only when he sees no other choice, as in a threat that keeps coming back. Or....the hunger that never seems to go away gets to strong to resist.

Trusting Monster: Being a Hollow brings a good amount of hate, distrust and subconscious hostility from most who know of them. Shinigami, Quincy, and many others see Hollows as monstrous creatures. And, getting them to change that mindset takes a good amount of effort and time. But, Anubis' natural state leads him to start out friendly. Regardless of how he looks, the Jackal attempts to turn disgust and aggression to trust worthy of a companion. With those he befriends, Anubis sticks by them and tries to help out anyway he can. He honors the trust he builds with others, regardless of their species. And, this is one reason why the Hollow is naive. ...Thus, betrayal hurts him immensely.

Soul Rending Betrayal: Given how greatly he values trust, those who betray him deal more damage to him than they may think. Depending on the intensity and reason of the betrayal, Anubis takes a massive hit to his self-worth. If the person had good reason for turning their back on him, such as saving him from a greater threat, than the Hollow doesn't hold it against them. But, if the reason was to hurt him in some way, or trap him, Anubis' will turn into a raging beast Hollows are known for. The young Jackal will attempt to unleash this hate onto the person or people with hellish furiosity. At the same time, his mind will turn this hate onto him too, for trusting such a person. And, for a good while after, his trust will be damage for all, thus making harder to earn it. Then, one of the hardest things about being a Hollow comes in - the hunger.

The Endless Hunger: As a Hollow, Anubis suffers from the bottomless hunger that plagues his brothers and sisters. For the most part, Anubis buries the need to feed deep in his mind and occupies his attention with other things. He busies himself with learning and almost anything to distract himself. Even so, over time the huger grows stronger. Every now and again, the hunger overtakes his conscious thought, driving him made with desire. Thus, he caves to the starvation. When this happens, anyone and anything can become a target. In this state, the Jackal forgoes any normal behavior. The need to eat driving him to sate it anyway he can. Anubis' desperation can lead him to do things that his normal self would find utterly devastating and revolting. Though, the hunger seems to subside if catered to enough. However, it never disappears completely and comes back in time, again and again.



» History:
Birth to the Injury:Anubis was born on March 16, 1992. He was named Kyle Eidenvir. And, he was the last of four children in the family. The boy was years apart from his closest sibling. His parents babied him in his younger years. This was due to him being the last of their kids. Thus, he was stuck at home. This forced Kyle to watch his older brothers and sister go out and do what they want. As he got older, the constant "home arrest" helped build the boy's curiosity and adventurous outlook. When he was finally old enough to start school, he was more than ready. Besides his second eldest brother, the Eidenvir babe took a strong liking to school. Kyle was able to be away from home, away from his overprotective mother, as well as being able to learn about the world. Given his interested, friendly attitude, young Kyle made friends rather quickly. The observant kid learned most of his school lessons fast. But, he struggled with a couple. His teachers found his attentive mindset praiseworthy. Thus, the school professors gave the kid a few reprieves every now and again. Kyle was also very eager to participate in school actives and group events. The boy's interest grew as he learned more, and as he rose through the school levels. As he went higher in school, he found that more information and opportunities were available to him. One of these was soccer.

This led him to join his schools soccer team. He looked into other sports and clubs, but soccer called to him more. Thus, Kyle had a new outlet for his adventurous energy. Though, his mother tried to convince him to leave the team for free of her baby getting hurt. But, given that the lad was getting older, and that he found something that he liked, the Eidenvir's last child stood his ground. With a little more back and forth with his mother and father, Kyle became part of the soccer team. As long as he kept his grades up. Kyle hadn't really found that too difficult to do. So, the lad took part in training and the various games that his team played. And as he did, he found what positions that he liked and functioned well in, as well as those that he didn't. With time, his body grew stronger and faster. Kyle found it exhilarating. In addition to this, his growing mind loved how intriguing each new experience was.

During one of his team's last games, Kyle suffered an injury. He had been running toward the ball as it flew across the ground. But in his haste, the kid over stepped and his leg gave out. The incident caused his tibia to snap, sending Kyle to the ground in a hail of pain. The pain was overwhelming. And, it seemed like the world was nothing but the pain. Kyle's other senses were dulled due to it. Quickly, he was surrounded with members the medical team and his couches. Soon though, his young mind couldn't handle it. This led him to passing out and thus the world became a empty dark nothingness. A few hours later, Kyle came too in a hospital bed, his leg was in a cast. His mother and father were sitting in chairs beside him. Soon after he woke up, the boy woke up his parents. They were overjoyed when they saw Kyle. His father went to get the doctor while the boy's mother talked to him.

When the doctor came back in with a nurse, the woman informed the lad of what happened to him and what they did when he arrived. This was when Kyle learned that it would take about three and half months give or take a few days for him to heal completely. But, given how his leg broke, he was expected to make a full recovery. This made the ten year old very excited. He hopped around his bed. Though, his leg shot him a good dose of dulled distaste to the movement. Because of the pain meds he was high on, Kyle only felt a small amount of discomfort coming from his injury. After having the leg inspected again, a new cast was put on. And, the doctor told Kyle and his parents that he shouldn't bare weight on his leg and let it heal. Otherwise, everything looked good so far. Following this, the Eidenvirs left the hospital and went home.

With the injured leg, Kyle was once again kept at home most of the time. He practiced using crutches. He found them awkward, but they let him move easier. Thus, he went back to school, though strenuous activities were a no go. Kyle was greatly annoyed by this. Adding this lazying around to the pain of his leg and the boy's mind slowly went numb with boredom. However, Kyle was powerless to do anything but wait. The wait felt excruciatingly long.

Sooner than expected, three months past and Kyle was back on both feet. The boy was up and running with greater joy than before. Being stuck on his butt for so long renewed his excitement about almost everything like never before.

The Unexpected End: The early 2000's seemed like a promising time. A lot of new technology was coming out quickly. Kyle was happy. He had just had his eleventh birthday a few months ago, and he was full of excitement. As the boy was part of the elementary soccer team, the Eidenvirs had been invited to the team's BBQ. The team leaders had put it together as a motivation building event for the big upcoming game. Most of the team members and their families where there. Along with the food, several other games had been set up for the kids to play. Kyle loved monkey in the middle, freeze tag, and dodge ball the most. He played each more than once with the others.

Overall, the event lasted a good few hours and everyone had a great time. Plus, it used a lot of energy. On the way home, Kyle couldn't stop talking about how he was almost the last one on his dodge ball team. He had a good red spot on his face from where the ball smacked him. But, he was smiling happily nonetheless.

A couple of weeks later, the Eidenvirs were out to dinner. It was the birthday of the eldest son, so they chose the young man's favorite restaurant. Given the size of their car verses the number of people going, two cars had be taken. But, the meal and following party was full of fun. After letting the food settle, the family left. Kyle's parents drove Kyle and his closest sister. The other car was driven by Kyle's brother with the eldest sister riding along. Soon after getting on the highway, Kyle's stuffed belly called to him to sleep. Being drain from the activities, the boy quickly succumbed to slumber.

With the ride going well, no one in the Eidenver family could have been prepared for what would happened next. Unknown to anyone, an invisible force on the other side of the road, killed a fellow driver in the oncoming lane. Not two seconds after this, the invisible Hollow pushed the now driverless car into the opposite side. The intelligent beast wanted to have some fun, thus it watched as the chaos, the flying car flew across the road in the direction he shoved it. Kyle's mother hadn't had the time to notice the vehicle coming until it was mere feet away. She jerked the wheel in a safer direction while screaming. This woke up Kyle. But, he move put Kyle in the path of the incoming car. It came so fast, that Kyle's mind could barely process what was going on before everything went black and silent.

A few minutes later, Kyle found himself standing where he had died. But, as he looked around, the boy found that the many pieces of his parents' car where all over, while the majority had moved far away. The boy looked around with deep wide-eyed confusion and shock. Kyle had no idea what happened. Thus, his mind couldn't put together what this strange place was. The countless broken parts all over in addition to the large impact to the road's structure perplex the lad. Moments later, a loud, utterly terrified scream rang out from somewhere. This blood-cuddling scream for life shook Kyle back to his senses. His blue eyes scanned the area to find where the sound came from. Being careful moving around the debris, the boy made his way towards the origin of the scream.

However, as soon as he saw it, the youngest Eidenvir instantly regretted the decision. What he saw there sent the kid into a frozen, soul-crushing frightened state. Kyle couldn't move or even look away. He stared in silent shock at a tall, freakishly proportioned monster. He watched as his mother was being eaten by the demonic creature. Its red eyes glowing with happiness as it devoured the women. But, unknown to Kyle, the Hollow's eyes also sent waves of endless hunger along with said happiness from feeding.

Kyle was completely oblivious to the rest of his environment. Soon, his mother was gone. But, the only thing that woke Kyle was when the muli-armed beast turned his starving eyes towards the kid. This made Kyle shutter violently and shrink away. Moments later, the boy's survival instincts finally kicked in. Thus, Kyle Eidenvir spun around and ran. He sprinted away from certain death faster than he had every ran in his life. He had to get away. But, when the Hollow spoke in it's unnatural, deep voice, Kyle found himself frozen again.

"Hahhahaha~....Run, run you foolish little human! I love chasing my meals!"

Hearing the hellish tone of the Hollow's voice, Kyle couldn't breathe let alone move. Seeing this, the hollow grumbled something highly annoyed. Seconds later, a massive shadow overtook Kyle's. "You know what? I'd love to watch you live as a monster instead. That'll be more fun."

With that said, Kyle was grabbed roughly and lifted up to the tall creature's face. There, the boy saw the Hollow's unholy grin. All that Kyle could remember from than on was a horrendous pain throughout his body.

A Hollow's First Months: As far as Anubis could remember, his first months were a terrifying, perplexing, agony-filled hell. During this time, the huge canine-like Hollow was controlled by nothing other than the abyss of endless starvation. This led Anubis to attack his fellow Hollows without a second thought. His hunger for souls gave rise to countless painful battles with Hollow after strange Hollow. In-between these fights, Anubis wondered the limitless reaches of Hueco Mundo. Along with the never ending hunger, numerous battles and continuous roaming, Anubis' mind slowly woke up. This led to him becoming more intelligent in his various encounters. With his mind now aware, the young beast became to win fights with increased ease and sate the maddening starvation more. But, he quickly learned that the need would never fully fade from his mind or body. Thus, Anubis would never be truly satisfied. He also found his limits. Encountering a few Hollows stronger than him taught Anubis to use caution when approaching and run if needed.

Along his suffering journey in this new life, Anubis met a few Hollows that were like him, smarter than the rest. Some of these intelligent beasts were not outright hostile while others were. This gave the young Jackal some time to relax a bit and find comfort in this barren hell. But, it was short lived. As Hollows, life was a infinite war for survival. Thus, when his new smart comrade was attacked, Anubis saw no way of winning. This aggressive monster was too strong. So, the Jackal fled. As he heard his friend fighting and the gruesome sounds that came of it, Anubis found himself filled with guilt and disgust. But, his will to survive was stronger than the desire to save anyone else.

The Meeting of a Real Monster: A couple of years later, Anubis had fought many more Hollows, some he barely survived. He had now been through so many battles. Though, Anubis occasionally met a Hollow or two that helped him instead of tried to eat him. When he met these fellow intelligent creatures, Anubis found moments of peace and companionship. Though, he was always troubled by the fact that he couldn't give them an answer when they asked for his name. Anubis never knew his name and he hadn't come up with one. For whatever reason, his mind came up blank. But, that changed when he met an older, more powerful Hollow. This dragon-like Hollow looked at Anubis and thought about his form. The large, winged Illar relaxed beside Anubis.

While waiting for the Hollow to answer, Anubis snacked on one their recent kills. The two of them had been working together for a week now. Anubis had lost control and went hunger-crazed when Illar found him. The Jackal was easily subdued by the Adjuchas. Illar was who informed Anubis of the various kinds of Hollows he would find as well as their massive power differences. Thus, Illar studied his young canine companion while contemplating name choices.

Then, he explained, "As I've told you, I've eaten humans, but I've also spent many years watching them, even studying them. Given your canine Hollow form. Close to a Jackal actually. I remember that Humans have a strong interest in mythology and the various spiritual worlds that they come up with. One came to mind as I look at you. ...Theee~...the E-Egyptians. Yeah, the Egyptian have gods that take have animalistic forms. One was a Jackal-like deity. Anubis. Anubis was his name. What do you think of that name?"

Anubis looked up at Illar, "Anubis? Isn't taking a God's name a little cheesy? ....Hmmmm...I don't have any other better ideas."

A few seconds of thinking later, the young Jackal Hollow nodded in acceptance of the chosen name. From then on, he took up the name, Anubis. For a good while after that, the two of them lived together, fighting alongside and saving each other. But, with time, the Hollows journeyed far. Along their days and weeks, Illar used his cero to attack and kill several enemy Hollows. Seeing this power sent Anubis into a long lasting state of awe. With his interest piqued, the Jackal pestered Illar to teach him. The Dragon Adjuchas wasn't sure such a young Hollow could learn it.

He was partly right. It took months of hard training for Anubis to learn how to considerate his energy. But, the small creature eventually attained a Cero of his own. But of course, starting out it was quite weak. Though, this hadn't deterred Anubis. He had seen the incredible power ceros could unleash. Thus, with his curiosity fueling him, and with nothing better to do, Anubis used his cero more and more. He even used it outside of battle, learning how to control and boost its strength.

One day their travels were interrupted by something that the both of them never even dreamed of meeting. A Vasto Lorde stood in front of them. Just being near the Tiger Vasto Lorde's immense spiritual pressure took the breath from Anubis. He also couldn't move an inch. Anubis thought that he would die any second if he didn't get away. Illar tried to get in between Anubis and this new beast, shielding him with his own Reishi. However, the Tiger released his energy. With a smile, she waved Illar out of the way.

"You're already an Adjuchas. Out of the way. ......Good boy. Ah, a normal hollow. Disgusting. Adjuchas are the only ones allowed on my turf. Unless you want to be food. Are you food? Hm?..." the lady's high and mighty tone was clear.

With the pressure gone, Anubis finally took a much needed breath. He promptly shook his head. He answered with more force than he wanted, "No! No way am I food for anyone!"

Hearing this, the female Hollow chuckled with amusement. After a bit of back and forth, she brought the two to her hideout. there, the Vasto gave a mission. Let the hunger go. Let it control him. Otherwise, he would die and become food for those who are more agreeable. Anubis spent days fighting with himself over this choice. But, given his survival instincts driving him to live, he surrendered and agreed to the orders.

Thus, with the help of the other Hollows under the Tiger, Anubis fed like never before. The small group hunted hundreds of other Hollows. Anubis was sure that he would explode from overeating. But, he quickly found that his starving hunger never even faded a tiny bit. It actually got stronger. He was also loving the continuous growth of power that filled his body. The strength was truly intoxicating for his young mind. Soon however, Anubis reached his bodies limit. He was led to Gillian forest by his Vasto Lorde leader and she gave him these parting words as he ate his last Hollows,

"If you come out of this alive, great. Come find me. You'll live in safe peace with us. Good luck~"

However, as soon as the group was gone, Anubis vacated the area with frightened enhanced speed. He could hear the Gillians within the forest. And from Illar's descriptions of them, they were dumb but monsters. Especially when compared to Anubis' current state. Thus, the Jackal Hollow went in a new, unknown direction. After leaving the dangerous area near the Menos Forest, the once again lonely Anubis slowed down to a leisure pace. Over the next few centuries, Anubis ventured far. At times he thought about Illar and where he may be. Was he alive? Was he killed somehow? The Jackal had no way of knowing unless they met again. That, however, was highly unlikely. So, Anubis trudged on with his harsh life in the Hollow's world, fighting when it was necessary.

» Racial Abilities:
Hollow's Acidic Skill: Unlike the majority of his brethren, Anubis completely lacks any skills that utilize acid. Anubis nor anyone he has met yet knows why he lacks this almost universal Hollow skill. As far back as the Jackal can remember, he never had the skill since begin with.

Cero: Cero is one of Anubis best and most used powers. The Hollow discovered the ability's power when Illar taught it to him. It was the strongest ability he had ever witnessed and had possession of. Thus, the Cero became part of Anubis' main offense from the second he learned it the present. And, given his regular use of the blast, the Jackal's mastery of it has increase more than his other skills. Because of this, his Ceros are more powerful and take less energy to use compared to his regeneration and so on when considering their strength to energy usage. Adding his creative mind to his continual usage, Anubis has also developed a new kind of Cero.
Cero Claws: Unlike his normal Ceros, Anubis charges these into his paws and claws. When he is ready too attack, the Jackal launches the Cero in a claw swiping motion. This sends the Cero in one to five wave-like attacks. Depending on the number of claws, the strength of the attack is divided among them. So, if three waves are used, the each wave will be, at max, a third of a normal Cero in power. Anubis can also decide the width and length of each Cero Claw. Thus decreasing or increasing the attack's strength. But, the attack can't be more than his normal Cero if all waves hit.

Regeneration: The best words to describe Anubis current regeneration is slow but good. For it to activate, Anubis has to focus a good amount of power into his injuries. Otherwise, he wouldn't heal. When it does start, the healing takes a while to finish. And, the regeneration works best for surface and moderate internal damage. Though it does heal some deeper injuries, these take a lot more time and power. Some even exhaust Anubis to the point of almost passing out. If he does, he'll have to wait and restart the healing from where it left off....once he has the energy.

Heightened Speed and Agility: Even as a human, Anubis had long legs and strong muscles. This powerful muscles followed the kid into his Hollow life. As he ran throughout Hueco Mundo and evolved, Anubis got faster. He can also change direction with great ease. His four legs have been trained in such a way to allow him to stop very quickly, even at high speeds. Though, he's still learning to stop at full speed. He may have lost some striking power, but he gained a good speed boost. And, he continued to train his speed up to the point where he unlocked a weakened version of Sonido.



» Hollow Power:
Limited Sonido: Anubis recently unlocked Sonido. Though, his current skill with this power leaves much to be desired. Using Sonido, Anubis can move short distances at much greater speed than his normal movement. But, when compared to a trained Sonido user, Anubis' seems rather slow. Plus, there is the considerable energy drain that hits the Jackal when he uses it.
Cooldowns: Two and half posts.

Wild Fangs: Using his built up speed, Anubis takes hold of his opponent with his sharp teeth. Anubis' top targets for this move are his enemy's neck, belly and legs. After the fangs are done sinking into his chosen target, Anubis uses the remaining momentum from his running to spin around his opponent. This makes his teeth slice in a circle around the bitten area. He goes around at least once and up to three times, depending on how much momentum he has. Unless he is interrupted or dodged. Anubis can use this skill in combination with his Sonido. However, doing so takes the amount of energy both powers use separately. So, the Hollow only uses them together when he goes for lethal attacks, such as assaults on his enemy's neck.

» Roleplay Sample: A good few months had passed since Anubis had left the Menos Forest as an Adjuchas and he had learned new abilities. Walking in no hurry, the Jackal would have had cold skin by now if didn't have fur thanks to the cool sand beneath his paws. The sand dunes spanned forever before Anubis' eyes. The monotonous landscape would drive most normal beings insane. And an empty night sky adorned by a lone moon did nothing to help. But, to the Jackal Hollow, Hueco Mundo was his home. Thus he was more than used to it.

However, he couldn't help mutter with a heave sigh, "God, this place never changes.....Always so damn empty...."

He continued his leisurely-paced journey through the Hollow home-world looking for anything new. Given the time he had been traveling, Anubis started feeling his mind going numb slowly. Having gotten tired after a good while of moving, the Hollow stopped near one of the larger hills of sand. There, he started to dig down at the base of the hill. As he dug his little cave, Anubis packed the sand tightly as to make a strong layer of support for his hideout. Then, he moved to the entrance. Seeing that he had finished the outline of his place, he moved sand from else where to cover up the opening a bit. As he worked, the Hollow thought with mild happiness, Ah, that's much better. Coming along nicely~. But, a little more couldn't hurt.

Soon though, he felt some sand in his fur. Upon finishing, the Jackal shook his body to rid himself of the annoying grains. When he was truly satisfied with his work, the young Adjuchas entered his temporary home again. Once at the very back, he laid down and got comfortable. Shortly following this, he relaxed, letting sleep take him.
