Nothing is So Necessary [Cyrus, Ulv]

Cyrus ast-Auramazda did not wish to be in Minatumi Harbor.

It had nothing to do with the town itself, for its tranquil air and sense of community reminded him, in many ways, of his own home. The citizens were friendly, the environment was wonderfully vibrant and filled with life. In many ways, this place was everything the Wise Lord sought to protect. All of these innocent lives who surely brought a great deal to the world they inhabited…

Cyrus had only one reason he wished to avoid Minatumi, and that was its owner. She was not someone he particularly relished the thought of, though he would, if pressured, concede that was almost entirely his own issue rather than any glaring fault of hers. Such thoughts were trivial, however, compared to the more pressing matters at hand. He was fully aware that some of the Vandenreich had defected along with the harlot. Naturally, he had already given a full list of names to his men, and made clear that this was a kill-on-sight matter. But not all of those who had left, Cyrus knew, had done so in a clear and present state of mind, and that was a matter he could never abide. To sin was everyone's prerogative, but to be manipulated into treachery... That genuinely caused the Grandmaster no small bit of grief to consider.

To that end, though it pained him so, Cyrus walked now in the streets of Minatumi, and subtly let out the faintest flare of his energy. He suspected Ulv would recognize it, and he could only assume that she kept a firm eye on the town she led. Her arrival would likely be quick, but that was just as he wanted. If anyone was capable of assisting him in this quest, it would be her. He knew from experience that she was rather capable of bringing people to their senses.
