Ulv would let out a small giggle at the idea of Nelliel just sat around playing on the Zbox 360. Ulv wondered how she thought of the 'we have ran out of suffixes, lets change the prefix' marketing tactic.
"I should get her gamer tag, see if she is up for some co-op play. It'd be fun to play with her later. And it was less a distance, more in the middle of a wasteland surrounded by monsters that wanna eat your soul. They are hard to fight because the more you fight, the more you attract. Critical mass is something I can't say you can achieve easily..."

Still, she looked in the general direction of his school and pointed out for Alex. Not the most helpful of directions, sure, but Colin had quite the considerable presence to him.
"Man's strong, to boot. Took one of Mirja's Fa...wait, that'd mean nothing to you. He's strong" Ulv finished, a little deflated that her references wouldn't mean anything. "And a good teacher to boot, he'll be great"

"Lemme shoot her a text, I'll get it for you."

Pulling out his phone, Alex typed out a message to Nelliel with a rather impressive lack of speed. It was rather obvious that he wasn't used to texting much at all, and after what honestly seemed like an eternity, he flipped the phone back shut and slipped it into his pocket.

"Got no fuckin idea if she's awake or not, and if she is she might be working. Dunno, I don't keep track of Africa time. Anyway, uh... Guess I'll get walking. Worst comes to worst, I just miss it and end up back in Vastime or something. You know me, I'll figure it out."

With a shrug, Alex leaned back and seemed to relax a bit more, not really too keen on taking a trek right this very instant.

"Mind if I crash here for a night or two?"

Ulv grinned as he was seriously intending to just walk back to Africa. He could do it, certainly, but that didn't mean it was the best way to do it. So she would have a gentle swirling air around her lift her up gently and have her hover in the air.

"You know, if you ever get tired of spending weeks of your life walking everywhere like a troglodyte, I can help you out with that" she told him, her flashy display of power ending as she touched down again. Maybe he would accept it, maybe he wouldn't. Who knew.

"As for crashing, you are more than welcome to sleep here whenever you need. A student for a day, a son for a lifetime"

"Woah woah woah now, I'm no troglodyte, thank you very much. Walking's just relaxing. And it's great exercise I'll have you know. Gets the blood pumping, not to mention it's kinda fun when you start having to get creative about food."

How much of this was just a joke, and how much of it was serious, was not entirely clear, but either way he had a smile on his face as he crossed his arms and stretched out all the more, clearly perfectly content right where he was.

"Son for a lifetime, huh? Sounds good to me. Thanks, mom."

And with that one, he passed right out without another word.
