Everyone has their issues. Elyss has hers, Ulv has hers, and Alex has his. That’s just life, and one day, maybe they could help one another, but for now, she’d rather not spill such things. She doesn’t want to think about it right now, not while the night is so peaceful and serene.

“Trouble? Come on. Tch. Stay around me for a bit, and you’ll have nothing but trouble. I’m a magnet for that stuff.”

She chuckled sounding more grim than before thinking about the high tiers who have literally beat her ass in attempts to teach her lessons. People always enjoy putting others in their place. It’s nice for someone to understand a bit of how life is for people trying to grow stronger. It’s a bit annoying, but it’s just what someone has to go through to get stronger. She takes the cigarette, but doesn’t make an attempt to light it. There’s something special about this. She couldn’t quite place it, but saying no to taking it seemed like the wrong choice even though all she did was slide it into her pocket and waving at the smoke he starts to emit. She’s seen many smoke, and she doesn't enjoy the smell of it, but… Meh. She doesn’t know why. This just felt… necessary.

“You’re… alright Alex. Probably not the best advice for me at this time considering who all I’ve pissed off, but what is life without its dangers, yeah? Of course no ones going to turn me around from what I believe and from how I want to live my life. Too many people have faith in me for me to turn back now, and I already feel too much like a screw up myself. I can’t let them down either.”

Her eyes move to her right arm as she flexes her fingers. As if failure was ever an option.

“But, you can’t say all this and not show me just what you’re made of. Once we get to Ulv’s, I want to see what makes Alex so wise. No doubt he’s speaking from experience.”

"Hey, no matter who you've pissed off, you should never let 'em think they got the better of you. Nobody's better than you, always remember that."

Alex took another long pull from his cigarette, but this time blew his smoke away from Elyss. She didn't seem to like it. He wasn't sure when he'd started to care, but here he was. Either way, he couldn't help but laugh again at her challenge. Was she really much like Lydia? Or was she just like a girl version of himself?

Well, he knew that if he could talk to a younger version of himself, he'd have a whole lot of things to say. A lot more things to do, namely a few kicks to the teeth. He couldn't travel back in time, but maybe this was the next best thing. Someone else who could use a good word from him? Didn't come across that every day.

"Alex is wise for a whole lot of reasons. I'll have you know he walked from Africa to Japan all on his own when he first wanted to train under Ulv. He's seen a few things in his time."

As the smoke was finished, Alex looked around for something to toss it in, and threw it away. He noted that he probably wouldn't have cared about just tossing it on the ground if he were anywhere else, but Ulv was a friend. He wasn't gonna just dirty up her whole city like that.

"You want a match? Hey, no problem. Just make sure there's a ref."

Yet, there are so many better than her: emotionally, physically, and spiritually. But, isn’t that why she strives to improve herself to one day claim herself as what Alex tells her. If she were asked out of the two of them who seemed the better choice, Alex would no doubt be picked. Maybe that’s just her inner demons harassing her thoughts however. The whole premise around her wanting to help others is because she doesn’t feel she deserves what others do. As if she could ever admit to being better than someone. Somehow, though, she is able to walk with a strange pride about herself. Maybe it is the cause she is fighting for, or maybe she’s just not being entirely truthful with herself.

Either way, she doesn’t have much to add to Alex’s words as they walked watching the man smoke somewhat wondering how cigarettes even worked. The one in her pocket will have to be experimented with later, but she’s seen a few having coughing fits over the small white stick and doesn’t want to make a fool of herself trying to impersonate the other redhead who’s probably a professional smoker. She’s also heard this kind of stuff wasn’t entirely healthy. Meh. Whatever. What is important is that Alex decided to laugh at her challenge. Now, that got an annoyed look from her with her cheeks slightly puffed out.

“Hey. No laughing…” She grumbles poking him in his side repeatedly. “It’s not that wise to walk, you know. There’s easier transportation…”

Wise her ass. This man probably has as much smarts as she does, but he’s her senior in a lot of ways, so she’s supposed to show him respect, right? Yeah right. She’ll give him his due, but as if she’d let him think too lightly of her. She’ll show him.

“Just you watch.” She notes as he returns from throwing his smoke away. “I’ll floor you with ease. With ease I say.”

"Hey, I'll have you know walking teaches you all kinds of lessons. Maybe you oughta try it, huh? I bet you just catch portals or take a flight like anyone else."

Alex let her poke him, finding the gesture incredibly amusing, and faintly cute, in the same way that a baby tiger growling at you was cute. She had guts, but she didn't just turn into one of those people who suddenly became total fucking weirdos and stopped acting like a human once they got all big dick powerful. Somehow, he doubted she ever would. Call it a hunch, but she was a little too...down to earth? That was a good enough way to put it.

"With ease, eh? I think you're really underestimating me there, I've gotten into at least one whole fight with Desmond Hayden himself, you know. I even lived through it. That takes some mad skill, you know."

It was rather apparent Alex knew exactly how outclassed he had been in that match, but that, to him, only made the whole thing funnier in hindsight. Of course, he knew Hayden would still wipe the floor with him, but hey, that was the whole reason he had to keep training. Eventually he'd put a stop to that.

"Oh, look, here we are. She actually even home, or did we come all this way for nothing?"

Alex knocked once on the front door, then put his hands in his pockets and just waited for a second. If she wasn't home, well, uh... They'd still have their match, he guessed. Just with no ref.

The Burning Heart

Knock knock, knock. Someone was at the door. Of course, she knew who was at the door, she was damn-near omniscient in her city so she knew what she was doing, walking up completely naked and opening the door to Elyss and Alex, dressed in nothing but a towel over her shoulders, water dripping off her hard abs and hair. That too was for the looks since she could vaporise it in seconds using her Resolve Flame. Clearly, she just wanted to give the two an eyeful of her naked body and inspire a hawt threesome. Except Alex had Nel and Elyss didn't truck with that at all. What did you call a threesome with two missing partners?

"Hey Alex~ Cute friend. Does Nel know about her?" Ulv asked, giving the man a wink so he knew she was just playing with him, and then nodding to Elyss. Girl was strange and angry at the best of times, so interaction was pretty slim.

She’s walks! She’s walks a lot. It’s just easier to have better transportation options. As if this makes anything Alex has said anymore true. Elyss is sure she could wipe the floor with this guy. She may not have confidence in herself as a person, but that has nothing to do with whether she can win in a fight or not. She has to because she fights not for herself but others. Though, in the back of her mind, she knows that she also wants to be strong for many other reasons; reasons that sometimes causes her grief.

“Desmond?” Elyss doesn’t know who that is. In fact, she doesn’t know who a lot of top figures are. Despite her run in with a few important individuals, she’s quite ignorant on the world leaders and other details, so Alex’s claims are a bit lost on her, but she can guess that this Desmond person is probably someone important. “Well then, I’ll just have to take him on myself, yeah?”

She smirks lightly raising an arm and patting her muscle that she decided to flex for show to let Alex know that she isn’t as scrawny as her size suggests. However, they are suddenly before the mansion, and Elyss almost chuckled seeing Alex knock on the door. She can just open it and let them both in, but before she could even speak, the doors move on their own revealing the person inside. And, despite Alex being with her, the redhead should have known that the woman who opened door would do something like this.

“Ulv!”

Immediate anger. That’s pretty obvious as Elyss’ warm dark eyes light up with stony fury at the sight of the drenched naked giantess who dares to carry around a towel without actually wearing it. Alex make recognize Elyss’ reaction to Ulv as similar to the first time they actually met as her cheeks bloom into a maddening blush that suggests how uncomfortable she is with this, but her growing aggravated aura also suggests that she is used to this, and that fact alone annoys Elyss quite a bit.

“Out of all the damn shit you could pull!”

It’s rather pointless to try and berate Ulv however. The woman has her ways no matter what anyone things about them. Elyss just groans and covers her face. Rather than gravitate around this weirdness, she’s going to just continue on with what’s more important.

“Put some clothes on. Alex and I are going to fight. You’re going to be the judge or whatever.”

"Ah, geez, put on a shirt at least."

Alex instinctively turned away from the sight before him, not quite disgusted, per se, but definitely not pleased by it. There were more than a few reasons he just didn't wanna see that, chief among them being he already had a lady he liked to see naked. Of course, even if he weren't with Nel...well, honestly, he just didn't think Ulv was that hot.

"Uh, yeah, what she said. She wants to see what I'm made of, so we figured you'd be a good ref, you know a thing or two about fighting. I actually just wanted to come by and get some training in, but you know. Ran into her on the way here."

Stepping on in, past his still-naked master, he looked around the abode with only a small modicum of interest. He wasn't really one to judge interior design or anything, so even if he took a good look at the place his opinion would probably end up being something along the lines of 'looks pretty neat.'

"Plus, pretty sure you're one of the only people who's dealt with me when I've totally lost it. Figure it'd be good if you're here to give me a toss again."

The idea of actually going fully into the Riot again was not one that Alex relished. In fact, it was one of the few things on Earth that he would say he probably feared on some level. Losing control of himself just went against everything he cared about, to say nothing of how much it just fucking hurt. So if it happened here, which it very well might, he'd like to be around someone who'd found a pretty good way of snapping him out of it.

The Burning Heart

"Out of all the damn things I could pull, this is pretty tame. I could, for instance, put you in the uniform I got you when we first met. How do you think that would go down when you are trying to be all strong and fiery towards Alex, hmm?~" Ulv suggested, flicking her eyebrows. She didn't stroke Elyss' cheek, but rather sent forward the intent with enough spiritual backing that it would feel that way regardless. Ulv did play with reality and sensory input a little with her overwhelming mental force, after all. It was fun to mess with on occasion.

And then she'd stand up, the towel she was wearing glowing orange and wrapping around her, morphing into a blouse and pencil skirt, giving her that sexy teacher outfit that was the first crush of many a poor boy.
"So! Maiden Masher is going to Mash a Maiden, huh? I look forward to it. I got a ring out back if you want some gloves, or you can do it in the living room like me and Kamui did. He was a fun guy. Should have had sex with him when he offered" Ulv nodded softly and walked away from the door, her heels clicking across the carpeted floor and daring you to tell her that was not how it worked.

Why? Just why must Ulv bother her like this when all she wants is to have a fun exhibition with Alex? It’s like bringing home a friend, and your mom knows you’re bringing home a friend, but she decides to walk around in her bath towel while calling you “her little man” or something. It’s a bit annoying and frustrating, and Elyss dislikes how Ulv is talking down to her like that in front of Alex. She couldn’t hide her frown and the sudden urge to slap away Ulv’s hand, but the woman’s hand isn’t on her cheek. This is the first Elyss has felt something this real that isn’t actually there, and with a grumbling undertone, she makes her way inside ignoring Ulv’s antics and focusing more at the task at hand.

Despite it all, Elyss is a bit excited from the small talk between Alex and Ulv. The maiden masher? Lose control? What the hell are they on about? She wants to understand, but she wants to understand by experiencing it. Ulv may have made it sound more erogenous than it actually is, but Alex doesn’t seem to be the type to be lewd just for the sake of being lewd.

“Mmm… I doubt we could go all out in a normal environment. How about we head downstairs to Ulv’s little box underground? A nice quiet area to break things in.”

Of course, she’s directing her words towards Alex to get his opinion. It’s him and her fighting, so he gets to help choose a spot as well. Ulv is being Ulv as usual, but her options are options that Alex may consider. The living room however? Elyss doesn’t even want to know what that situation was about.

Alex continued to study the place as he followed after Ulv, very far removed at this point from a mindset where he'd actually care to think about her heels clicking against carpet. Her whole outfit sort of reminded him of his sister, what the fuck was up with everyone acting like her lately? Was it him? It couldn't just be him.

"Downstairs probably isn't smart. Unless Ulv wants to toss me through the ceiling. And I mean, she probably could do that, but I figure that's bad for the foundations."

The idea of actually being thrown through said foundation wasn't too terribly frightening, considering the few miles he'd end up falling back down anyway. Plus, ya know. He'd been through worse.
