The Crimson Cat

Tatiana Romanoff

Crime Never Sleeps [Elyss] JCRrxmK

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

The streets of Karakura bled with the sins of its inhabitants and the lies of its populace. Those in charge, like they always they had...they continue to pillage and lie and feed on the souls of the unfortunate, of the weak, and the innocent.

Well, and that sort of wraps up the last post of the day. ‘Alright guys, hopping off discord. Posted. Gonna be busy for a while. Tty some other time! Cat out.

With that Tatiana closed off all the programs on her laptop, closed it, and put it away. The woman didn’t get as much time to post in the roleplaying site as she once could; life had a way of keeping her busy. Alas, like most of her other hobbies, she still managed to find the time and enjoy them. Luckily for her, she had a select few online friends that were understanding enough to accept her odd posting schedule. Needless to say, even these online friends were completely unaware as to the nature and the identity she kept hidden from just about everyone else. She wasn’t back at her main home in England, but rather out in Karakura. There was a particularly difficult to catch, and even more dangerous to face criminal that had snaked his way into the city. For a while back she had been tracking him and all of his steps until she was led here.

From Cairo, to London to Tokyo, the perp had been known to trade in hardcore drugs, organs, and human lives too among many other things. This time, it looked as though his love for fighting and his unnatural fighting ability had led him to a sort of underground, and most likely illegal business. No doubt there were plenty of other dealings that went largely unnoticed by authorities there, and he surely participated in it. Prostitution, drug selling and use, as well as other dangerous criminal activities were likely commonplace. It seemed as though the fighting provided just the right venue for these people to gather at something different than a strip club. From what she understood the fighters were varied. Some of them were Human, others were Demons, Vizards, Arrancar, and anything else out and in between. Although there was a substantial payout for the winner that made it through it all alive, Tatiana wasn’t there for it. She figured she would only need to get through a few fights until she found the criminal known as The Jackal. There was no telling the level of enemies she could encounter if she did go on to the very last rounds.

From the rooftop she was at, she used the scope from a rifle she brought to spy in on the underground club’s entrance. No doubt firearms would not be allowed except for the bodyguards of the big drug lords. Weapons were allowed for combatants but they were restricted to blunt or sharp weapons. Under some exceptions ranged weapons were allowed, though they were mostly restricted to things such as the bow of a Quincy. It didn’t make a lot of sense, but since she didn’t use them, she also didn’t care to question it. With a few breathers she got into her outfit of the Crimson Cat, and headed there. Karakura was some ways out from where she usually did her vigilante work. That and the fact that just about every area featured truly powerful beings, it wasn’t a surprise her persona wasn’t recognized or raised any strange flags; most fighters who cared about their privacy used a form of anonymity anyways.

”Hey baby,” said one of the two bouncers when the blonde clad in the skin tight red suit approach them.

”Are you gonna be fighting or are ya gonna be stripping.?”

”Well,” said Tatiana as she held out a small stick that extended into a baton, and then into a whip, and lightly smacking into her hand.

”If I’m lucky, only one of those will come to pass.”

With some hearty laughter the bouncers let her in, but not before she retracted her whip into its carry sized form and gave out her name for the tournament: Crimson Cat. There was no doubt that almost everyone in that venue was a scoundrel; a criminal. She was sure that if she stayed a little longer she could dig up dirt in just about everyone. And boy did she have a feel and a need to just smack those bouncers ...but not yet. For the time being though, she simply went inside to admire what looked like an enormous underground club. There were dancers, strippers, television and sports, and even food and drinks. From the design and the music she could tell that further ahead, the passage would lead to where the staging and fighting arena was at. She would head there soon enough, but first, she made sure to grab a martini to sip along the way. She made sure to order extra olives though. For as much as some people disliked them, she thoroughly enjoyed them. Still, she made sure to keep the blak coat over her body for now. More than enough people would undoubtedly ogle at her body during the fights, and there was no need to bring on unneeded attention onto herself just yet.

The Red Baron

Elyss Kishimoto

Everything about this feels too familiar; a constant wave of dejavu befalls Elyss as she steps into the night down a familiar street, into an alley that she recognized and felt sick at, and now she's staring down a building that has her mind buzzing. That’s it. That street, the alley, and this building; it’s all coming to her now. She remembers clearly of those events and the significance of this place. She died because of them. Yes. The memories are coming to her connecting dots and fitting puzzle pieces into the correct holes; visions of bleeding out in that alley because of that one man who hated the fact he lost to her. Yeah. That’s it.

Surprising how the world works. She heard of this building from a passing by thug who had decided to steal a woman’s purse and escape down an alley that had nothing to do with here. Elyss, of course, followed after the guy and caught him on his phone blabbering on about this location and some kind of deal with some shady man who was selling some pretty powerful drugs. Elyss wasn’t sure what to do with such information, but she felt an odd sense that she should come check this place out herself and learn if it needed the attention of more capable people. Not saying she’s not strong enough to deal with it, but better safe than sorry to go incognito and learn. Being a stubborn ox only gets one so far.

If only she knew that this place would stroke her head the way it has. Great. The last she remembers of here is the fact that it was a place for people to fight and put bets on each other, but now. It seems it’s become something bigger and dangerous. She felt somewhat excited and afraid to reenter the building, but knowing she died here didn’t bother her as much as it probably should. Her Zanpakuto, however, is livid about this place and wishes for its destruction or, better yet, for Elyss to come in and trample over any competition within; a way of taking revenge for the life she lost.

The redhead, after a bit of time, decided it best to go in without a disguise. She died who knows how long ago. No doubt no one here would remember her face at all. If she recalled correctly, she had a secret identity anyhow when she fought here. Still, it’s best to not use her real name. Her outfit wasn’t altered however from what she wore when she left the house this night; the outfit consisting of a white sarashi around her upper chest and a red hakama with a gold flame-like pattern at the bottom with black highlights tied by white strings; her hair tied up in a high tail at the back by a white headband. Her outfit seemed a bit bare, but since she was heading into this club to probably fight, she didn’t want to wear anything that she’s have to throw at so simple bandages and a plan hakama she bought with Ulv’s money will do.

Instead of Elyss, she told the men to call her Red Baron. Thankfully, weapons were allowed though only sharp or blunt melee tools. That means she could bring her Zanpakuto inside with her, but she only has one blade finding that, despite having two, she seemed to really only wield one in battle and since she’s in a hostile environment, she’d rather be comfortable than try to disadvantage herself.

“It’s even more pitiful in here that I remember.”

She mutters to herself seeing that the people around varied immensely from humans and vizards to demons and arrancar. This is her first time seeing Arrancar however. It was easy to spot some by their holes. This is how she knows this place isn’t fit to exist if Hollows were allowed to mingle so easily like this; especially ones that see everyone around them more as lunch than acquaintances.

“After so long, somethings just never change. Just some water. I don’t want to be intoxicated for the fights.”

She had stopped by the bar just to take a quick sip before heading to where the arena is. So, this is where they fight. It seems there’s a tournament tonight, and she had signed up at the door which was why she needed the fake name she choice: Red Baron. Despite despising everything around her, she felt a calling to participate if only to let out her frustration of the place on those that inhabit it. Besides, her Zanpakuto was very insistent on her doing more than just ogling. And, so, she waits for when this damn tournament is to begin. The sooner she beats everyone to a pulp, the sooner she’ll feel better about getting this place demolished.

There were so many people! A part of her wanted to pull out her phone and snap a couple of pics. Probably at least two of her one hundred in real life followers on Instagram would find the place pretty dope. She could take a couple selfies of herself in her suit and leak them online, but that suddenly didn’t seem like the best idea. There were already a number of Twitter and Tumblr sites dedicated to finding the most obscure photos of the Crimson Cat and publishing them...alongside other rather questionable fan fictions. And while the photos paled in comparison to the overabundance of hentai on the internet to her name, at least the pictures would get far more likes; maybe a different time. At the very least there was a clear silver lining. The enigma of who the Crimson Cat truly remained a mystery she would rather keep a secret for years to come, if not ever.

As she downed her martini and ate the olives, she couldn’t help but pay attention to those around her. In the club and the bar it was mostly men in suits and women in dresses that likely were worth more than an average person’s monthly salary, and then some. Making it past that area and into the arena and staging area wasn’t all that different for the most part. On the outside and by the seats she could see the very same faces with the very same style and choice of clothing. Granted these ones seemed far more intent on the physical and animalistic desire that impregnated the place. Be it male or female, all ogled the male and the female combatants as much with a sexual desire as with a longing to see one break and kill the other, exert dominance, and move on. Try as she may, Tatiana couldn’t find the man she was looking for just yet. He had either just had his match or would have one at some time later.

Crimson Cat to the stage. Crimson Cat, please, make your way into the stage.

It was a good thing she hadn’t taken any longer in checking in and getting there. If she had, there was a good chance she wouldn’t have been able to join up. Before she came up to the stage, she made sure to toss her cape down to a pair of well dressed men who eagerly caught the article of clothing before diverting their sight to the cleverly made outfit she had on. The suit was made to look like a sort of semi reflective latex, but it was actually a very sturdy and durable sort of fabric sort of closer to a flexible kind of leather. The outfit was a simple red almost all throughout except the dark crimson color of her boots and her gloves, fitting to her name. Most of her body was kept clothed and behind several styles of zippers except for the area right above her bosom and her neck. She wore a matching red cat-like mask that hid most of her recognizable features except the blonde of her hair and the smooth fair look of her skin.

”I’m here, and I’m ready!” said the woman before extending her red stick into what could be called a baton about the length of a small one handed sword.

”Very well,” said the announcer before reaching for the larger microphone.

”Ladies and gentlemen we have our first female on female fight. To our left we have the well known, the built, the strong, and the agile...give a round of applause to, The Dragonfly!

”And to our right we have a fairly new contender from the west. A tall and seductive blonde kitty clad in red with a stick and a will to fight. Please welcome with an applause one of our newest fighter, The Crimson Cat!” Once the screams and applause died down, the announcer would say the last few words before the fight began.

”Now, let’s get ready to RUMBLE!!”

They’re everywhere. One could easily tell who came to fight and who came to watch. The ones with their fancy suits and dresses are all too clean, but anyone could tell the horrible nature within them; their stuffed pockets ready to throw in cash to place bets on those who are soon to throw themselves at one another for whatever reason, be it a chance at cash, to vent frustrations, or just because they can. Still, there are those around that seem a bit too normal to be wondering about. Elyss would probably fit with them if not for the blade at her side and her lack of clothing. She didn’t look impressive even when dressed up; her normal mute and serious expression always making her seem far away and not as intuned with the world around her. She looks like a fighter with a mysterious past; someone lost within the crowd such as the few around who came for no other reason but having nothing better to do.

Still, she is signed up to fight, and so, she takes her place near the other competitors taking the chance to get a look at them. Some are otherworldly in design while others seem more modern. Guess that’s the joy in dressing up and keeping one’s identity a secret. You can be as bizarre as you desire, and with such luscious outfits, people will be sure to remember. Still, without the skill to back up your design, you’ll just be a clown among your peers that none will have no expectations of. Maybe that’s why Elyss is so bare. What she is is what you get. She is blunt, and anyone can see that from a mile away if they even cared to look her way, for nothing about her screams attention despite her blazing red hair and shiny onyx eyes that are surprisingly dull this night despite the prospect of potentially good fights.

Crimson Cat to the stage. Crimson Cat, please, make your way into the stage.

Someone has been called. Someone by the name of Crimson Cat, and her opponent is someone who goes by Dragonfly. Elyss’ gaze look within the ring at the two. To be honest, her eyes were way more interested in this Crimson Cat woman than on her opponent. That outfit reminded her a bit on what she found in Ulv’s closet one time by accident. The red reminded her of her hair, the zippers of suggested stipulations, and the latex of a rough night of… She shakes her head and sighs getting herself worked up a bit from thinking about that damn BDSM giant. Either way, she refocuses on the match noting Crimson Cat’s weapon; a baton. She wonders what else her stick could do.

Alas, it seems the event is about the begin. The first female on female, huh? She, for some odd reason, feels the twin tailed masked blonde has this fight, but everyone has their surprises. Dragonfly may give her a run for her money. Only their time in the ring will tell. Let’s get ready to rumble.
