Alastor | SEVENTH DIVISION MEMBER
Back to work. Well, that's what it'd normally be for the fiery red head of seventh division. Fortunately he seemed to be able to catch a break from all the duties being lumped on him, truly he just loved retreating the sanctuary of the seventh division barracks which was filled with oddballs. It had a warm appeal to it.
But while he'd normally be ready to lay back and kick off his shoes he was trying to deal with a nagging at the back of his head. Something was up, with his captain. He was sure. She was way more withdrawn than she normally would be, normally he'd not be one to pry but then again, it was peculiar when it hit him that her outgoing nature had just... stopped altogether.
So while he wondered if it was really the right move Alastor was going to risk it anyway to check if she was doing just fine. Short of her kicking his ass right out of there he was sure he'd be able to coax some kind of response from the captain that he knew of as so cheery and bright, so when he approached the office of Murasaki he raised up his hand to knock and wait with building anticipation for the response while he tried to keep his nerves down and quietly spoke to himself.
"Just like earlier yeah? I can do that."

THE BLADE MAIDEN
KAGAYAKU NO MURASAKI
The verdant-haired captain of the 7th Division was very much not the same as she had once been. She rarely spoke with her division members unless it was about their duties, and if she wasn't on patrol, she was doing paperwork. Never a moment's rest for her, and certainly a far cry from the cheerful young girl she had once been. That was just how things went.
As she heard a knock on her office door, Murasaki simply glanced over in its direction. Once upon a time she would have opened the door with a smile, pouring a cup of tea or sake or any other drink for the visitor and hurrying them into one of her most comfortable chairs. But her teapot was cold, and had been for weeks. Not a bottle of sake was in sight, and her prized sake dishes and masu had begun to collect dust on the shelf.
"Come in."
There was no emotion in the woman's voice as she answered the knock at the door. She couldn't stop working, there was just too much to be done, and not nearly enough time. Whatever this was, it could surely be handled while she was working.
