The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Reckless wasn't the right word for coming to his Uncle's country looking for the building. His eyes scanned finding the place he was looking for within Thailand. Reckless wasn't on the menu today as he doubted anyone would care. Walking to a place he'd heard about. Seeing a training room like building set up at the moment. The dummy before him remained stationary as he dropped his bag on the ground. He planned to stay here as long as it took. Takehiko intended to increase every single thing he could. This facility abandoned in the forest of Thailand due to its difficulty. The number of gravestones outside made that evident. He didn't know what he would come out of this place looking like. Nor did he know what Thirteen Tents to success were really. He didn't care as he stopped himself from going to the dummy. His eyes scanned it over carefully checking for traps on the wooden floor. The rooms beyond were locked and this was needing success. Closing his azure eyes he drew his sword slowly.
His uncle was a sword user so that would mean this meant something. Bringing his sword to the dummy's head he watched. No reaction or movement came from the creature. So the question changed as he looked for something to happen. Bringing the tip against the dummies cheek he felt a sting on his same cheek. So that was the game behind this puzzle. Bringing a hand up he healed his small injury before thinking. This puzzle required mind over matter but he suspected that wouldn't help. Removing his top and tossing aside everything but his bottom bit of clothing. Revealing a still rather pathetic body that didn't fair well. Cracking his neck left to right his orbs glanced to it. Throwing it was an option but wouldn't open the door he imagined. No easy way to success he supposed is what it meant. Tapping fingers on his zanpakuto's hilt drumming them almost. This was going to be a difficult situation which would not come easily. Takehiko brought his weapon around now taking a stance.
A light cut would be good to see exactly what he felt. Slicing across the shoulder blade of it. He felt a stinging of pain as a warm feeling dripped down his shoulder. This was going to be troublesome and didn't seem like it would get better. He couldn't blast the door open. He wanted to see what came out of these tests. Bringing a hand up he touched his shoulder where the cut happened. Sighing softly he glanced at the red thinking. The answer had to be something obvious as he healed the injury again using kido. Takehiko didn't know how well this would work. Something about the puzzle did leave him pondering. He could ask Ruin for the solution he thought for a moment. But he shook his head left to right before bouncing on his feet for a moment. Getting back into his stance he focused now. Deciding to stop considering everything around him for a moment. To close out the noise of the world as best he could. Trying to find something akin to the pure instinct for a moment. But no matter how close he drew to that place he didn't see it. Determination and his intellect were his stronger points after all. He came here for frustration to try and improve his body.
Performing the swing he did with Torabevu he felt a cut on his hand now. Bringing his hand up he thought about it for a moment. Takehiko stabbed his sword into the ground before walking towards the dummy. Putting his head against it he closed his eyes. It must have been rough to be asked to share the pain with people. So he sympathized with it more than most. It wasn't alive as he slowly sat down at its feet now. "Must be tough having to be hit all the time, gotta say that's a tough thing to do. " He spoke out loud to no one in truth. Merely musing this fact to the dummy. Takehiko brought his zanpakuto out of the ground. Letting his fingers run across the length of the blade. "I wish I had your help on this, though I guess I wish I knew who you were too." Takehiko's eyes blinked as he stood up.
That had to be it, certainty was what you needed with the Dummy. The answer wasn't set for just hitting it. You had to be certain of yourself and actions. It meant to have faith within one's self. That had to be the solution he hoped as he smiled a bit. Putting a hand on the dummies shoulder, merely offering a smile to it. "My conviction is to save lives not take them, so I cannot strike you...But the blood I hope is enough." He had so intelligence in solving the first room's puzzle. It was set to monitor a personal conviction and that wasn't all.
You had to believe in yourself as Takehiko's hand on its shoulder dripped blood. The being smiled as the door behind it made a noise creaking open. The noise startled him as he looked beyond. Going to pick up his pack thinking the first test wasn't too bad. But he suspected it wasn't meant to be hard at first. He didn't know what to expect but this place was massive. Holding training faculties long hidden from others. The Journal had been his clue to its location for training his uncle approved of.
Takehiko had provided an answer that nobody else ever had in the first test. Which was why the dummy had smiled. It had done something it was programmed to do for only a rare few. Grabbing his clothing he had solved this puzzle only within two hours of being here. Hopefully, the rest would be just as easy as this task had been.

Upon entering the next area a stream flowed through a forested bend. Obviously, the water was the objective here. Takehiko put his pack down again and decided to keep his shirt off. This was a rough one he imagined as he walked over cautiously. Kneeling down when he got next to the water Takehiko examined it. His cerulean eyes glancing over the water. He didn't intend to jump right in as he questioned everything. Intellect and determination where his two defining traits when it came down to it. His uncle's puzzles were a bit more difficult than most people expected. Just leaping into the water could prove fatal without knowing. Takehiko didn't think poison was the cause. His uncle didn't use poison in his entire career wouldn't start now. So that would indicate something else was going to happen. The deduction was a fancy tool really in this case. Dipping his finger into the water he felt it cut his digit. Takehiko stood upright bringing a hand to his chin. This wasn't going to be an easy thing to overcome.
It wasn't like the dummy where you answered with conviction. Something else was the puzzle to this one. Discretion was the better part of valor often times and Takehiko didn't know about this one. Glancing up the river and flash stepping further up. He glanced around seeing nothing of note that gave him a clue. His eyes stopped to gaze upon rocks. This was going to be hard, as he crossed his legs sitting in the air. He needed to think carefully about submerging himself in the water. The rocks didn't get sliced or show signs of marking. Lowering himself down he landed on one thinking. Gentle brushing his fingers across the rock he saw no signs of corrosion or anything. It indicated they weren't getting cut by the water. Was it because they were stationary and fought the flow. Takehiko decided to make a guess on that one now. Stepping off the rock into the water he felt the slam of weight into his shoulders. Attempting to push him forward like a tidal wave of force.
Straightening his back as he pushed back he felt slices begin carving into his flesh. Takehiko realizing the situation removed himself quickly before falling on the ground. Covered in cuts across his torso he laid for a moment. None of them were deep enough to be fatal or troublesome. So he fought the current using his strength to try and push back. His eyes looked back and forth from his back where he laid now. His chest rose and fell quickly as he practiced the Kata again. Ulv had taught him this so he used it as often as possible. To calm his nerves and bring him some sense of peace to him. Takehiko sat up now red liquid dripping across his stomach and arms. His back appeared as though he'd taken lashes. Looking back to the rocks an idea began to form in his head. But he would need to test it before proceeding. This wasn't another jump in the situation and think you had it. But he couldn't test this one with a finger as he did try though. Letting his finger flow along with the water before bringing it out.
No cuts this time it seemed he guessed right on this one finally. Though not without sustaining some injuries. Takehiko couldn't bandage himself up yet and the day was drawing closer to its close. He'd need to treat these wounds after he performed the trial. Going into the water he felt the sting of on his cuts as he sat down. Closing his eyes and attempting to focus as a few more cuts formed. Slowly he began to get it. He felt the water pulse around him now slowly. The liquid pass through his openings within his body. Letting it go and gently letting himself drift in the water. He knew blood was flowing from him but if he changed focus. He would die right here and now not even making it to the next stage. He'd need time to recover and it wouldn't be so easy. Takehiko would have to bandage his injuries and treat them. But that came later as he let the water's sounds drown out the place. Finding peace within his breathing now to bring a better understanding.
The world was in constant flow around you, that was what the water represented. It was best to go with the flow and move along with the path. How had his uncle designed these sort of things? That was what Takehiko wondered when trying to understand the man. What leads him down the path he went as he signed softly. What of Ruin's sisters who stayed with his uncle? So many questions he had that he just did not understand. But in the end, did it matter really? His uncle gave up his convictions and fell by the side. Maybe that was the tale this place held, to never give up conviction and be at one with your place. Takehiko knew his duty within the Gotei. For now, it was growing and learning as he developed further. He heard the creaking sounds of a door as he opened his eyes slowly. Takehiko found that the water had become still ending this trial. Getting up and out of the water with trickling droplets falling off him. He was satisfied but couldn't continue any further today. Going to his pack he pulled dried himself off with a towel. Now treating each injury before wrapping them in bandages. He'd gotten good at treating medical injuries now.
Learning from Master Cho Zi, he'd grown rather skilled at mundane medical skills. His spiritual one was effective as well. Able to produce better healing with his needles in a certain area. Takehiko laid upon the ground finally yawning before falling into his slumber. He'd made progress to be certain, but eleven trials remained. And they became much harder after these two as they tested real skills. The place seemed alive to him as though it knew what to train you in.

Takehiko Kuchiki
His eyes opened after sleeping for a day he felt better his injuries had healed up. This was a good sign of things to come. Picking up his pack and dressing Takehiko could only guess the next stage. His body would hold out fine if things continued in this regard. His time had been rather intense here among other places. This place would be the last time he did something. His Uncle had made a mess of the world around him. So it only seemed right he continues on the way with each step. Passing through the next door Takehiko's eyes scanned the area. Figuring out that he needed to develop a stronger body among other things. A circle of black color had a white feather floating in it. The sphere looked ominous as he stood looking at it carefully. Takehiko was scanning this thing with caution among other things. Developing a fear most of what came before him. This seemed dangerous as he brought a hand to his chin thinking. The feather floated so what was the goal to grab it. He walked over sticking his hand in testing it.
He was almost floored upon touching it as he looked on with wide eyes now. His hand had almost been snapped off. He closed and opened his hand now as he got a feel for it. His fingers felt fine but that was close. That was extreme gravity pressure in that place. Raising an index finger of his right hand he fired a small sho at the object. Watching it bounce off past him it seemed you had to enter. But that weight was intense and going to crush him. Takehiko could sense that much as he stuck a single hand in. Had he hit another wall in his journey to this place here. Reasoning indicated only a single choice before him. Failure wasn't an option for him as he closed his eyes. This had nothing to do with focus as he clenched his hands. He would become a new person and rid himself of the old one. Finding a new person beneath the darkness that lingered. He'd not be bound by the chains of Tsubasa Unabara. That family deserved better his father didn't deserve that brother.
His eyes held an intensity to them as he walked through it now. Feeling his shoulders crack almost instantly from the pressure. Takehiko's iron gaze stared around the room. Trying to find the moving object as his limbs and body felt like breaking. He needed to accomplish this as he gritted his teeth. His body felt like it was on the verge of breaking. Sweat dripped around his body as he felt himself close to losing consciousness due to the extreme pain. He winced raising his hand up using his sheer willpower to push through. "I...am...so sick of it....BEING A COWARD!" His reiatsu flared sending a blast along the ground. As he grabbed a pair of the feather before being blasted out of the sphere. His body ached and felt as though anvils had dropped upon it. This was a pain, unlike anything he'd seen. He laid looking at the small portion of the feather. He laid on the ground noticing damage to his clothing. He could die here, this could be the end of him.
Takehiko rolled over on his back wincing as breath slowly left his body. He was just beginning to find something. But if he died here it was all meaningless. Takehiko had talked to Ulv about it. He couldn't rely on Akuma for everything or come to him for that. "Hey, Akuma..how is your day going?" He heard a chuckle inside him as he laid still. Trying to feel how many bones broke under that. "What is it brat? Oh damn, you are in rough shape." Takehiko didn't hear concern more along the lines of amusement. "Yeah, got my ass kicked trying to do it alone. So Akuma I got a question for you if you don't mind." The hollow offered a nod of its head nothing more. He was trying to reach out to a friend for help. To see if he and Akuma could overcome this together. "I got a grudge against my Uncle, this place was his you know?" Akuma nodded continuing to listen where he came in. "I want to beat his stupid tests, then destroy this place...So I'm sorry to ask..but can you lend me..your strength Akuma?"
Akuma looked him over before grinning and laughing out loud. "Oh, so you want to rip this place apart. I like it, that more anger filled side of you. Alright, kid, you want my strength you got it. Rip that feather out of that damn air. Takehiko grinned standing up as he felt his mask form on his face it's appearance glowing and changing now. Evolution of acceptance of helping one another even if a small portion. His mask was a samurai's mask often worn by those in the old days. A mouth guard gripped around his face but it had two horns atop its head. The teeth for the mouth were on the sides of the mask leaving his nose and mouth exposed. Takehiko felt strong but not because of anything but Akuma deciding to give him aid. "Let's go, brother, time to rip this entire damn facade apart." Calling him brother as he jumped inside feeling the crushing weight slam him. His mask cracking as he laughed to himself as he felt his hand move grabbing the feather now and yanking it out of the sky. His body hurt in every single location as the gravity fell apart.
But so too did his capability of standing as Takehiko crumbled to the ground. His eyes losing the hollow color as the mask crumbled. 'Thanks, Akuma..I got it.." Takehiko managed to mutter out feeling the feather break in his hand. Healing his body now slowly as he fell into a slumber. Takehiko's body hurt and he was just exhausted beyond reason. Using Akuma's power even with permission and both working together. His mind felt him and Akuma grow closer than the two had been previously. They had acknowledged one another, though it was more Akuma had seen something interesting in Takehiko.

Takehiko Kuchiki
He laid upon the ground groaning as he felt pain in his limbs. Broken bones among a few other issues did plague him. Takehiko struggled to move certain body parts as he laid on the ground. Well, he and Akuma had accepted one another trying to rip apart that feather. But this was only the third trial out of thirteen of them. Every part of him hurt from his ears to his toes nothing had been spared. His eyes looked around slowly as though in a complete daze. Remembering where he'd passed as pain felt etched into his bones. But it wasn't a problem he could just go heal himself. He did a rather ungracious crawl towards his bag. Pulling a stamina pill with a skull upon it for ingestion. Slipping it on to his mouth he felt it go down slowly. Licking his lips he leaned against the wall. Two fractures on his right leg, three broken ribs, not to mention some damage internally. He wiped his mouth bringing out some needles beginning to touch points. These would accelerate his healing also with kaido he could recover.
Takehiko closed his eyes after finishing his medical treatment his cerulean eyes tired. The look in them was of a man who'd done everything possible. It dawned on him here and now through one simple truth. He was alone and worth nothing, this was his uncle's downfall. He tried to use his power for everything to do anything. Power begot nothing and with it would lead to one's downfall. That was the truth beyond the pale his uncle failed to see. Takehiko's body ached as he considered his options. He'd not complete this now, he wasn't ready and destroying himself wasn't worth it. Unlike his uncle, he didn't have to be alone in this world. Laskt, Uncle Byakuya, Lady Momo, Lady Ulv, Ruin, Akuma, Elder Torabevu. Just to name some of the connections he'd made. These people shaped him and he grew more from it. Takehiko leaned his back against the wall closing his eyes now. Focusing on that blackness he met Akuma in once upon a time. Where he'd told him his body wasn't worth it.
"I can't, I cannot make this body worth anything to you Akuma. But I consider you my brother, we both were born at the same moment. I can't be my uncle Tsubasa, his road leads to destruction. I cannot grow as strong as him or Uncle Byakuya. Not this way it's not how we ascend to power through destroying ourselves. I understand what Ulv meant now, we are done here." Takehiko felt a change in himself as he heard a sound rarely heard from him. "Just what I wanted to hear." Ruin's familiar voice chimed in letting him make mistakes. Because she had something in him called faith. Brothers could be dangerous he acknowledged that. But he would ask no more of his brother than himself."Not exactly what I had in mind, but being your brother huh? I could go along with that for some fun." Akuma sounded in offering his opinion on the matter. Takehiko's inner dialogue came to a close. Standing up he inhaled slowly feeling pain still as he glanced towards the fourth door. Smiling and shaking his head no as he turned on his heel.
His body had been battered and bruised but he came to a conclusion. He didn't need to do this alone. He didn't have to walk that path his uncle did in any way. Takehiko had grown and matured in some fashion. Now the question was what move did he make next from this point? He didn't have the answer or solution to those things. These were elements that were evasive and needed help and time. What could he do aside from sparring, well he knew one thing. Thailand was in the past and he'd not look here again. Tsubasa Unabara and his ilk weren't part of what would make Takehiko stronger. His friends and the bonds he'd forged on the way would do that. But most of all his brother who inside of him would become a core of him. He felt he and Akuma together could accomplish anything. They set their mind to after all that was the true nature of a journey.
