Ulv like Bear!

» Upgrading:
There are three things here, but I put them all in one power upgrade to make it more easy on staff, rather than having them go through three separate power upgrades.

» Why:
(0-3+)
Iori. Not someone Ulv - or indeed Mirja - had ever met, but someone that Midori spoke about a great deal. Respect and Admiration in her heart, as well as a great despair for not being able to protect her from the betrayal that led to her comatose state.
After Ulv's inability to talk Midori out of being the Remorseless creature she claimed she was, Ulv made a long-shot and went for Iori, hoping that the respect and admiration that she held for the woman would be enough to get through to her. Devil's Heart was a workout as ever, putting immense pressure on Ulv's spiritual reserves, though not as much as when she first got the power and was nearly killing herself with every use.
(0-3++)
It's not every day someone comes into your home and begs you to kill them. But when William did just that, Ulv obliged without hesitation. He was too sturdy for Ulv to take out in a single blow, however, and the true reason for William's despair came to light. A schism between two minds, Verathius and William, was causing an increasing dissonance between the two and William was worried that one day he would lost control entirely and hurt someone he cared for, maybe even his sisters.
Ulv offered a solution, and after some internal debate, Verathius and William both agreed to it. Euthinizing the two facets of the Arrancar, Ulv moulded them back together into a seamless, singular personality in total control of his mental faculties. The now exhausted Ulv - Devil's Heart was hell on her energy reserves - gave him the temporary name of Navn, and sent him into the world to find his own way, and his own name.

[adm]I have some serious concerns which is arising from Devil Heart right, including move Ulv up in tier. I will take the time to lay out these concerns, neither approving nor denying this application until I have time to speak with the rest of staff on it including the person in question.
My first issue is the idea that using a singular ability which can be effectively used to solve character problems and arcs with the snap of a finger. When we first approved the ability, and the second time, I did so under the assumption it would be seldom used as a means to progress individual plots. In my experience of seeing it used this successively, if I was to approve this upgrade it would seem like power farming. You have a singular positive ability which when used depletes your energy, usually meant to be a counter balance to using it in a fight. But by trying to use this as justification for an upgrade, it appears you're mitigating one of the largest drawbacks while getting a boon for a completely social thread: A power upgrade.
Power upgrades are given on a two faceted approach, in character work which reaffirms that upgrade in a way satisfying to staff and the basis of trust. Trust, usually, being defined as the belief the person understands the power scale, won't abuse their power, and has an good reason to be at the tier they are. In this case I don't feel Ulv has met the two facets of an upgrade. I don't support the idea of two purely social threads which do not equate to the work of an upgrade of that tier, nor can I accurate say you've met the trust category.
We've had multiple issues lately with Ulv and balancing her, not because you're attempting to abuse the system but because it's clear you still have a lot to understand about the system. With that lack of knowledge, which can only be gained by someone informing you of your errors, I can't slap an approval on this.
Other staff members, chime in. [/adm]
