Implicit Feelings[Kuchiki]

Concern buttered the air before the pressed lips of the elder Kuchiki, bellowing out a sigh. It had been some hundreds of years since he last bestowed his presence upon the soil of this bountiful land. The structure and lay of the land was a bit overcooked for his tastes, but it was to be expected of royalty.
Standing there gaze affixed upon the crest above the entryway to the manor an influx of bittersweet memories glossed his mind. A small smirk broke his bleak visage as he shook off his thoughts and pressed forward. Gaggled before the door were a number of guards draped in the tradition Kuchiki garb, battered with purple and black. The bodies came to attention as he approached the door, the wood giving way to the soft touch of his hands pressing forward.
Continuing onward, rain began to litter the floor in his past. A quick glance over his shoulder, he thought it to be an odd coincidence and nothing more. Yet, burning in the back of his head were thoughts of signs from the universe telling him to turn back. That there was no need for him to repair an unused bridge. For the name had become more of a keepsake than a right of life. It had burdened him more than helped him at this point. Yet, here he was. The Fallen Kuchiki, sentenced to centuries of pen and paperwork instead of making good use of his sword all for the sake of an innkeeper. Shame.
His eyes and mind keen on the future, he moved forward. The plan? It was simple, he would make his way to the estate of the Head of the Household and request use for his blade. Nothing more, nothing less. It had been some time, and with the changes to the Gotei, he had fallen out of the system. Whether he would return or remain a man of free will would be depending on this meeting.

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
It had been some time since he returned home to the Kuchiki Manor. Takehiko pulled the white scarf around his neck up to cover his mouth. His clothing hadn't really changed much from adding this. He didn't talk anymore really due to the injury sustained out in the world. He inhaled a deep breath through his nostrils before stepping in. Blinking a couple of times he caught glimpse of the male in front of him. He didn't recognize him from anywhere but suspected he'd come for Uncle Byakuya. He'd not gotten close before someone had noticed his presence. Thus alerting the entire compound to his return. It was a caretaker who'd spent time looking after him when he'd been dropped here. There you are, where have you been!" Was exactly what the woman said. As he raised his hands to calm her fury that was clear. She blinked confused for a moment that he said nothing. Before her gaze focused in on his scarf now. Bringing his hand to it he pulled it up a bit revealing to her the massive scar. His throat had been slashed leaving injuries to his vocal cords. Her hand came up to her mouth covering it.
He lowered it giving a small sad smile and shrug. Showing he'd at least acknowledged what had happened as his fault. He'd been too eager to see the world. He believed himself invincible and was proven wrong at the cost of his voice. He had to start carrying cards with his name on them to explain who he was. Takehiko expected he'd be scolded by Byakuya. But that was a given since he'd screwed up royally. The entryway and the crest marked many things for him. Returning from his first journey and joining the Gotei officially. Being dubbed by peers as the silent Kuchiki due to him not speaking. Most of the time his facial expressions were what people judged him on. Takehiko still had an earnest wish in his heart to save lives. But at this moment he couldn't really do much beyond what was given. His spiritual pressure had seen improvement along with his physical condition. Takehiko had grown in short since his last time here.
He caught up to the male who was heading towards his uncles. Smiling a bit he offered a polite nod of his head. Before gesturing to himself with a hand now as he tried to speak. But found nothing but a soreness in his voice frowning. He sighed pulling a card out of his clothing. It said hello I'm Takehiko Kuchiki, nice to meet you. He had several of these made holding it out for the male. Hoping to make his acquaintance in better times. When he could vocally speak to him again. Though he guessed it would be sometime before use of his mouth returned. It's what he got for the stupid action he'd made. Though he guessed that must of been global news by now. Though he was mistaken in that regard, nobody knew aside from a few people what happened. Takehiko would have to be grateful for that fact at the moment. The previous woman had rushed out to find medical staff as she knew the nature of this. Nothing left but to own up to his mistakes at this point.
He'd continue training and maybe someday make amends for his errors. But for this moment meeting, a new individual was nice. He didn't know what sort of reaction he anticipated. Being a mute Kuchiki was strange enough. Though he suspected his uncle would be mildly annoyed at this turn of events. His nephew's voice had been blacked out by someone for a while. Till a suitable healer was located to treat the injury.

The thunderous roar of stampeding footsteps sent Tora to his heels, grasping his Zanpakuto firmly only to let go with a soft look upon his face. Disappointment flooded his mind at the realization that nothing interesting would be happening at the very moment. Instead, it was just family that had received word another member had returned. "Where's my stampede of welcomes?" He muttered to himself, before turning toward the masses a quaint smile brightening his face. While the attention wasn't on him, it was nice to see someone here was getting recognized that wasn't Byakuya.
Nonetheless, he'd carry on toward Byakuya's quarters with a small grin on his face. Humming ever so softly to keep the dismal imagery out of his head. A small part of him yearned for that type of attention, but he knew it would all come in time. He'd have to restore his name and reconnect with his sword and the field. It was futile to try to push himself into that type of place, as it would only put a sour taste into the mouth of the people.
When the crowd would finally dissipate and release the young boy from their clutches he would find a spring in his heel, catching up to Torabevu. Looking down to the youngster, full of youth and willing to make a new friend. Tora smirked, flattered by his spirit. It had been some time and he was such a grumpy old man that he'd turn the kid away. It was obvious that he had no idea he was in line for Head of Clan hundreds of years ago. Then again, most people had forgotten who he was in general, so it was to no surprise that things would be this way.
The youngster held out a card that read something akin to a greeting and his name. Torabevu head it looking down from his nose. "Ah, to see the young so enthusiastic and well loved. Well met, Takehiko. I am Torabevu Kuchiki." His voice didn't perceive his age, but the way he spoke wasn't the typical tongue. Though, it didn't seem Takehiko spoke at all. He could see his first effort to try before being riddled with frustration, a sight to see, but then he went on with the cards. Perhaps the boy was sustaining some sort of injury or he had just lost his voice some way or another. If it were the latter, it was probably best this way. He wasn't much for noisy children, after all. He'd humor him, figuring that he had to report back to the Head of the Household, Byakuya. "What say you join me to Byakuya's chambers? That is where you are headed, no?" He'd wave his hand toward the direction giving a very minuscule bow directing him to walk beside him. "I remember doing the same so many years ago, as a matter of fact. Going out on my first mission and coming back to report to Soren, the Head of the Kuchiki Clan at the time. But you must be rather seasoned with the number of people you have rushing to you right when you return and what not. Ah, youth..." He carried on like the old phogy he was, reminiscing on the past and making incorrect assumptions.

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko listened to the elder Kuchiki as respect dictated. But also because the man seemed to have a certain degree of sadness. In his eyes about not being rushed by servants, he'd not snuck out of the house. Going on an adventure getting his throat cut open by a psychotic man. Takehiko couldn't wallow in depression anymore about that topic. He had an objective to see his Uncle for and well he didn't know much else. Takehiko pulled something out writing down on it to explain the situation. He's not really gone out on a mission but done something foolish. "I wish I could say that was true. That I had gone to perform a service for my uncle returning with honor and dignity. Truthfully I left home in order to see the world and experience it. To find meaning if you will behind it all in terms of my goals." He showed the man the card before reaching up. Lowering the scarf now offering a sad smile as he did so. The injury to his throat was grotesque from any angle one viewed it at.
It looked from a glance like a hand had ripped it out almost or slashed it to ribbons. The scar was ugly, not likely to disappear anytime soon. Bringing his scarf back up to cover the injury he wrote down now before the question of visiting his uncle came. "I tried to assassinate my uncle Tsubasa Unabara and got this. My skill level was not even in the realm of annoyance for him. But in getting this injury and through my hubris I realized I wished to become a healer." He finished writing rather quick at it and keeping very neat penmanship. He had other things he could tell but doubted the elder wished to hear of it. He also wrote down one last thing showing respect to an elder figure. "It is an honor to meet you Torabevu-Sama" He put down showing it to him before finally stopping his writing. He didn't want to bore Torabevu-sama with needless things like that. He knew the term implied teacher in a way but he was an elder. One of higher age and understand then Takehiko.
He offered a simple nod and smile showing the brightness of youth. Takehiko didn't know how the elder Kuchiki would respond to his dream. Would he crush it and toss it aside into fine powder. That was a question Takehiko didn't have an answer to in any regard. His eyes glowed with light and direction in them for the first time. Since he'd run away from home and began this journey. It all began with three hundred steps. He couldn't accomplish them regardless of what he did truthfully. Those weren't meant to be accomplished at that level. They were meant to serve him as a gateway. He understood Jaeden's meaning now entirely. This wasn't supposed to be an easy pathway. He needed to figure out why he desired Hoho and now he understood. It was so he could get to people quickly and provide medical aid. Needed to save lives quickly and effectively when it came to it. Takehiko believed firmly that the Gotei lacked such talented people. Not in terms of kido users but in terms of healers.
Those specialists who could salvage the worst injuries like his own. The restoration was important to him in this regard. He wanted to ask for Byakuya's help on his journey. He didn't dare speak of his previous deeds to the elder Kuchiki. Though he suspected Byakuya would do so. He wanted to beg his uncle's forgiveness again for what he'd done. Takehiko had already done so many times and had taken his studies seriously. But now was the time to really seek out his uncle's aid. To try and develop himself more. He'd not request a transfer from his current deployment till later. He wished very much to repay his uncle and his kindness. Because had Byakuya wished it given his transgression. Takehiko would have been dead or imprisoned at this moment. Takehiko didn't have an answer for this or anything else but wished to let his uncle know one thing. His will hadn't broken on desiring to become a healer. He wished to save lives and bring honor to the Kuchiki name.

ANGEL OF THE CHERRY BLOSSOM
Artist: Pokemon HS/SS - Song: Ruins of Alph
The fallen and the foolish, the two Kuchiki that Byakuya both had the most hope for...and was also the msot concerned about. He was well aware of the blunders the both of them had each made, with Torabevu having drifted into obscurity from his own rebellious actions and Takehiko causing harm to himself with his youthful, reckless abandon.
Thus, as he sensed the two approaching his quarters, he set down his pen and set aside a small stack of papers, all of which sent to him to fill out as the head of the Kuchiki household and clan. Taking a brief look to the door as the shadows of the two men formed outside his door, Byakuya uttered only one word to his nephew and Torabevu:
"Enter."
As they likely would obey, Byakuya's gaze focused on them as he turned to face them fully, his eyes remaining calm and cold as he watched the two men walk in. A small ember of nostalgia lit in his heart as he watched Torabevu step into his quarters. It was almost three hundred years ago since he first encountered the man at his sentencing: paperwork duties.
Even at a glance, it wasn't hard for the royal to see the drive returning to his eyes, compared to the glazed over, dead stare that he had back then. However, he was still fully aware of his previous transgressions. High treason, senseless murder, and destruction of property, all for the sake of his own selfish goal that cost hundreds, potentially even thousands of lives and more.
So, while there was some level of welcoming, his eyes were cold. A gaze that, without any words spoken, would yield the question:
Was it worth it, in the end?
So, closing his eyes and exhaling quietly, Byakuya rose from his chair, his hands clasped behind his back as his gaze turned back to the two men before him once again.
"Torabevu Novozumi Kuchiki. Why are you here, and why is my nephew accompanying you?"

"Ah, no. It is I that takes the pleasurable dissonance in our meeting my young Kuchiki. Though, it is tragic the situation you have gotten yourself into. To be young..." Torabevu's voice lingered reminiscing to the ceiling for a moment, not drawing back to anything in particular. Just thinking back on all the rash decisions he made in his youth and the consequences that came from them. They led him to this point and that was all that really mattered, but he could remember a time where he was fresh and full of spirit, among other things. Not a care in the world for the consequences, just the immediate results. It was refreshing to share the aura of Takehiko's youth, as he couldn't find himself being the wise old man he was without the young and reckless adolescent he once was.
As the two would make their approach to the door, Tora would draw his hand out to begin a gentle rapping, his intentions proper in not startling the Head. Yet, there would be no need for such a thing as their presence was felt by the sharp sensory units Byakuya possessed, his hand stopping just short of the surface before he simply placed his hand upon it and slid it open.
Tora approached the room with hesitation, he could feel the bleak chill of his leadership preying upon his treasonous flesh. His eyes darted about not wanting to meet with Byakuya's, but his persona couldn't take the guilt that he placed on himself by not doing so. It. Was. A. Mistake.
As his eyes met with Byakuya's he couldn't help but lower his head in a nod that recognized the cold glare that was cast upon him. The stare loomed over him, giving him a feeling of isolation. Forgetting that Takehiko was in the room until he was reminded by the question of his presence within Byakuya's quarters. He fumbled his words for a moment, not being able to put the due process to his thoughts. "Well... I'm unsure as to the young Takehiko's intentions of this meeting, but I come bearing an apology." His body shifted to Takehiko as his name was addressed before folding his hands before him and fixing his eyes upon Byakuya. His face cratered with a stern sensibility as he continued, "I say an apology, but truthfully I wish for forgiveness to those that I have disgraced through my actions. I remember standing here some time long ago, making fruitless mistakes as this lad had done when I was his age. Of course, this was well before your time, my liege. But, I was so full of vigor and duty then, I only wished to see justice. Yet, I hadn't even known the definition when I conducted the acts that I committed. As many of us do with our rash and unethical decisions, or our times of not being able to be at the right place at the right time. I sought to turn back time through vengeance and the improper use of my blade. Yet, I was a fool to actually follow through with my desires. After all this time, I wish to bring glory back to my soiled name. My name that has been dragged through the trenches and tarnished for an eternity. But I only wish to do so if I could find myself in your trust once more. While I know such a thing must be earned I am simply looking for the opportunity for redemption so I may earn the right of carrying our family name once more."

The Silent Kuchiki
Takehiko Kuchiki
Takehiko did enjoy talking in a manner of speaking with the Elder Kuchiki. He held vibrant energy about him. Something Takehiko couldn't help but admire as he nodded happily. But he knew the game to come would be harder. The true fear most men dreaded and people in this Manor knew well. Byakuya Kuchiki, or as he knew him, Uncle Byakuya. This man could make a trembling Gotei member piss themselves with fear. True terror had never been seen before as Takehiko inhaled. Walking in before offering a polite bow in a posture to the Head of the Kuchiki Family. Takehiko sat and decided to remain out of the way so Torabevu could speak. He was polite waiting as he wrote down on a note card. He had to consider what he was doing here. Takehiko came to his uncle with a purpose and goal in mind. He was going to request something in the future. But he was preparing to ask for it at this junction. Takehiko wrote now looking down as he was making sure his writing was neat. He didn't want to show Uncle Byakuya poor penmanship.
So upon finishing he breathed for a moment. Trying to summon the resolve to show the writing as he felt a trembling in his body. His uncle had this effect and he worried he would overstep. But the request was important to him so he would make it. "Uncle, I intend to begin training rigorously to honor our family name more. I wish to make this request of your uncle when the time comes and I am able to learn Shikai can you teach me. But also teach me what I should strive for as a Kuchiki within the Gotei. I was assigned a Division and wish to please our family as much as possible. So I humbly request that when the time comes you offer me guidance." Takehiko closed his eyes not wanting to look as he expected a glare. But he finally summoned up some courage to look at his uncle. He wanted to do well and prove himself a valuable Kuchiki. That he could honor their family by joining the Gotei. He knew of one other within the faction as he didn't jump ahead.
Takehiko knew full well he could not perform Shikai or even use zanpakuto powers. He was a vizard on top of it which he knew wasn't a boon. So in this regard, he could only hope his uncle was willing. Takehiko didn't know what the Kuchiki should aim for within the Gotei. What sort kind of soldier he should be for them. He'd seen the path his uncle Tsubasa took. It was a path that went nowhere and ended with him suffering. This path wasn't an acceptable one in any regard really. He was a Kuchiki who happened to wear the second name. He acknowledged not the Unabara because he could do nothing for it. His hands stayed in front of him as a fire burned in those azure eyes. Takehiko wanted to become stronger as a person for the family. He did not know if his uncle would agree to tutor him. He knew what not to do, but he wished to make his uncle and aunt proud. They'd both taken risks accepting him and he understood it. He was a relative of a criminal and one who'd been exiled. His blood couldn't have been much dirtier and he held a very large amount of disillusion with the Unabara.
