Takehiko Kuchiki
Around his throat bandages were wrapped and surgery performed on his neck. Takehiko's normally bright and cheerful nature had been slashed to ribbons. He'd not truly imagined how far out of reach his uncle was. He'd concluded that his uncle's loss of power brought him down. Underestimating his enemy had been costly but even more so scolding by him. His honor would likely never recover from such a stupid move. He'd been allowed to leave but talking had been pretty much impossible at the moment. In his hand was a book which he intended to study though begrudgingly. It was his uncle's story or some manner of thing. What was it he was missing in this regard to life? Why was it he couldn't understand any of these things? Wasn't he stronger now and more capable? It didn't seem to matter his uncle didn't draw his sword even. He used Hakuda to defeat him a skill his uncle rarely used if ever. Given the contents of this journal which he'd read and reread ten times thus far. His uncle was poor at Hakuda even going so far as to say lousy.
His frame sat beneath one of the trees in the city having snuck out of his room. Takehiko couldn't speak so what did it matter in the long run? HIs uncle had devised many Hoho ideas and techniques within this Journal also. He wasn't sure how to execute them. But he'd memorized them so he could remake them his own. But for now, it was unlikely he could train anything. Breathing was difficult at the moment but meditation was easy. His mind remembered one moment vividly when his uncle released his reiatsu. It was enormous in size and amount causing a storm just by standing there. How did he get to that point why had power consumed him so? Was he a cautionary tale of what happened when one had power? Takehiko had been left much to think about and being unable to speak had advantages. He couldn't answer to scoldings but with nods. He wondered if Ulv knew his intent and let him go because she knew the outcome. Takehio's throat would have a rather impressive scar under those bandages now.
Something he would wrap up in a cloth similar to the one his uncle wore. For now, it looked like he'd suffered from something drastic. He'd spent most of his time in his room just laying there. Trying to shake away the shock thinking about what he could have done. But the question had been raised of an aunt among the Unabara. Perhaps seeking her out was his next journey to take on. Takehiko didn't know what to make of it. Why had his uncle not killed him in the end, he could of easily? He didn't even register on it's a threat truly. Takehiko's sword may as well have been a piece of paper. And his kido why had he chosen to fire lightning at his uncle of all things? Questions posed at himself now that he was safe within Minatumi harbor. Rereading his uncle's life constantly trying to understand how it happened. Before sighing softly and simply letting his head fall backward. He didn't know or have any idea how this all came about. He knew nothing about his uncle from this journal aside from a rough life.

BLOODY REBELLION
- Spoiler:
It was a pretty vibrant day outside. Birds were chirping, individuals were continuing their construction of Minatumi and Ichijou happened to linger. Ichijou Miura had previously spent the days before in Minatumi and even met the mighty Ulv Auber.
Conversations between her had seemed to go fun all until she asked Ichijou to do the unIchijouable. Deactivating the social media accounts. Even hearin' the words sounded like poison! Today, she decided to volunteer as a nurse on a whim and help out some fine citizens.
Well, that was part of it. Another part of her wanted to see just how many other interestin' individuals loomed around this city. It seemed that one of the people she was meant to assist on this list went by the name of Takehiko. Hm... so a male, perhaps then? Cool! Ichijou walked towards where his room would be and rather than knock and be polite... well she did the opposite and waltzed in, peering at him with a wide, toothy grin.
Oooooh. Even though he was banged up, he looked like quite the cutie, with features as fair as they were handsome. This is what female nurse's lived for, assisting handsome young men and nursing them back to health. Ichijou skipped over to the bed and waved at him, grinning with such glee that it could hardly be contained.
"I know ya' can't really speak too much yet but hey! I'm going to be lookin' over ya today! Name's Ichijou Miura. If you want, you can write your name down. Either way, I hope I can be of help~!"

His azure eyes slowly shifted over towards the female. She'd come skipping towards him gleefully. She held a rather charming quality to her in that regard. Grant it he'd just had his neck pretty much gutted by his own uncle. Guessed it had been better of the two worlds in this regard. Gripping a notepad he'd been given he wrote on it quickly to respond to her. "I'm Takehiko Kuchiki, it's nice to meet you Ichijou Miura" After introductions he was left pondering what kind of help she'd offer.
He didn't know much about this living world humans occupied. But had they found a way to restore vocal cords? That had been damaged rather badly by psychotic would be horsemen? His azure eyes closed writing down a bit more on the notepad now. "So how does this work exactly?" He wasn't clear on nurses or any of that stuff. Takehiko had made a point not to get wounded or sick in the Soul Society. They had some voodoo like practices that concerned him. If it didn't work cut it off sort of thinking.
That was a concerning idea for him because sometimes fingers among other things failed. He was very pleased with all ten fingers and toes. So losing them seemed drastic in his opinion. Felt like a rather strong way of thinking those lot had. Takehiko looked at her keeping her within his gaze now. Mostly for the reason of him wanting to know what nurses did. He didn't know the term as they didn't really educate on that in the academy. It was more or less don't get hurt over there. Here they seemed a bit more flexible and caring. At least on the surface, Ichijou felt a bit different. Something about her seemed strange compared to other humans. Though he couldn't quite put a finger on what that may be.

BLOODY REBELLION
- Spoiler:
Ichijou sighed inwardly, a little disappointed that such a handsome man couldn't speak because of someone slashing his throat to hell. Parts of her just had the urge to tackle him and sort of play out the nurse fantasy most men usually fantasized about but... Ichijou also had a job to do, and do the job she would! She smiled as she read his reply through the notepad. He really didn't know how this whole thing worked? Perhaps he was of another race or was raised sheltered because most knew what happened in a hospital.
You got injured pretty badly? Well, they'd heal your wounds well enough. Near-death? Surgery might possibly save ya'. For his case, since he was very much still alive, what was mostly required was ensuring he didn't do anything to worsen his condition. Ichijou was ordered to watch over him and keep him company. Had she had any healing ability of her own, she would've likely helped him just so she could hear him speak but for now, she would be the best nurse to end all nurses.
She walked towards him and leaned beside him, sitting on the bed as she handed him the notepad. "Well, the way hospitals work is that when you get injured, there are usually surgeons who can help salvage or nurse your wound's back to health. Yours is especially bad, so I'm surprised they managed to keep you alive. Either way, Nurseijou is here now. " Hugging him softly, she played around with his locks of black hair as she gazed at him, handing him the notepad, indicating that he could ask for whatever would make him comfortable.

He got a strange feeling from this girl but had not the strength to do much. This was interesting to him though as he learned of medical practices. He didn't know much else and had been warned against talking. Feeling her digits slowly go through his hair he felt a strange almost ticklish feeling. Generally, that was a first for him as he imagined his Uncle would give him hell. He'd done something very brash and stupid and paid a price. His scar wouldn't go away and that was clear but damage beneath the tissue remained. Azure eyes slowly drifted down to the tablet deciding communication was best. Writing down he decided to ask a bit more about her. "That's very kind of you, mute patients don't rank high I'd imagine." He said showing her the words being kind. Takehiko sort of was a nice guy by just default. Especially after the incident with his uncle's hand meeting his throat.
Takehiko's mind returned to the issue of the three hundred steps. The request of Jaeden lingered on his mind at this moment as well. He'd not gotten much stronger with this journey. Training with Ulv and learning what he could have become impossible. But he'd managed along crawling at a pace best refined as a snail. Takehiko had a new found respect for earth medicine. His throat felt sore and almost dried out. Swallowing wasn't a joy in of itself either at the moment as he tasted iron. The familiar taste of blood on his lips couldn't be mistaken. No, that was a taste he was very used too. His eyes seemed distant for a moment as he closed his eyes. Inhaling her scent and relaxing his shoulders a bit. Feeling tension leave his body which normally would have jumped. Takehiko hadn't been used to women touching him or affection. So this whole thing was very strange and new to him. He'd lost his first kiss only a couple of weeks ago. At two hundred years old so, shows of affection were strange to him.
But none the less he needed to put on a brave face writing stuff down again. This time deciding to try small talk. "So do you like this city?" He showed her the paper so she could see what was written. Was he good at small talk of any kind? No, he was an utter failure at that sort of thing. Noblemen weren't taught how to handle that sort of thing. Takehiko had been groomed to almost be like his Uncle Byakuya. He was considered the perfect nobleman by some of his educators. Problem was that Takehiko had no earthly idea how to act that way.

BLOODY REBELLION
- Spoiler:
Ichijou continued to read the tablet as Takehiko replied through the letters on the paper and Ichijou was somewhat growing bored of this way of communication. She was never one for notes and so she nodded as she rose up from the bed and smiled.
"Well, I wouldn't say you're a mute. I'm pretty sure you had a voice box and could speak properly, and it's just going to take awhile. Either way, you're a priority, so I'm happy you're enjoying my company so far, Takehiko-san~ Hm... this could get a little bit tedious, I think in order to make our conversation more interesting and you don't have to write anything down... "
Ichijou walked towards the room and pushed her hand within a bag she had brought along, revealing a very expensive, top-of-the-line cellphone, outfitted with many functions and big enough to type on and text.
She wondered if Takehiko was familiar with the technology. Ichijou skipped over and once again sat on the bed in the same position as before, handing him the cellphone as she kissed his cheek and pulled out her own phone. "I think communicating this way would be better if you're willing to learn. It's really simple! You just put your fingers on the keyboard that appears on the screen and then press send, and boom! You send messages!"
Ichijou provided the example for him by pressing down on the screen and sending him a kissy-heart emoji.

His head tilted a bit watching her move over to grab something. This was a rather strange person he couldn't really put a finger on. She wasn't like other human beings, that much was sure. But she was returning and resumed the previous position. She did something bringing a flush of color to his cheeks. Kissing his cheek and showing affection was a strange thing for him. Takehiko didn't have the most experience with women in general. So that made this feel strange s she handed him something. He blinked at the emoji she'd sent him. What was this a strange picture of a face making kissy face? His expression must have shown some confusion about it. He moved his hand first being careful. As not to damage it sending a picture of a confused looking person. Takehiko didn't understand cell phones or things like that. They were foreign to him in the Gotei. Humans talked on these through very long distances he gathered.
But beyond that, he didn't claim the most experience with human technology. His family didn't really use high tech methods either. Takehiko looked up curious if he had done it right. This thing was so confusing to him from most standpoints. What he wouldn't give to just talk normally. But that wasn't in the cards for the day nor the week it seemed. So he typed out one sentence now trying to understand what they were supposed to do. "What do we talk about?" Simple question showing just how bad at conversations Takehiko was in the grand scheme of things.

BLOODY REBELLION
Takehiko seemed to be a fish on dry land when it came to communication whereas Ichijou was the complete opposite. She craved attention and loved to always be at the center of it and so even if Takehiko wasn't able to understand her, that he was so welcoming in his personality made her feel the need to help him learn of her world, if only slightly. She typed on the phone and a reply would appear on the one Takehiko was holding.
[Tis a cellphone~ you talk about anything you wish to discuss. ]
"It's always interesting to speak this way, especially when you can't form any words from your mouth, plus the replies can be quicker and it doesn't take as much time as boring old writing does." Ichijou would switch back to speaking herself, as she smiled and gazed at Takehiko.
"We can talk about anything you want or you can request me to bring you something. Like a book, or a game, or anything that might help you pass the time until you heal up or the surgeons find a way to repair the throat. Either way, darlin', I'm here. So request whatever ya like'! "

Takehiko listened to her explain the system to him bringing some interest. He was curious about medicine at the moment. Among other things as he decided to not trouble her with it. He'd already been reading books most of the time before she came. What was the point of diving into another who done it mystery novel? Especially when it was obvious the first person to appear did it. He had a quick wit in that regard. Takehiko expressed some interest in it so someday she could hear him. But that would be down the road since his voice box as she put it had been rendered silent. "What do you think about all the fighting? He typed into the machine referencing the war. He wondered how humans saw all this fighting. He believed it was tragic in a sense fighting for land. That wounded didn't get proper treatment. Not enough doctors and healers in the world anymore. Which brought him some ideas. He could maybe try to help people in that sense. But he was joining Research and Development.
It didn't matter really to him in that extent. "It must cause trouble for shopping and enjoying life. Such a mess they make everywhere for so little to gain." He typed down before she responded giving context. He was getting better at it to an extent. But he didn't know what kind of conversation to have? Was it that guy was dreamy or who killed the person in Soap Operas? What did girls discuss these days on earth? He wasn't just a fish out of the water, he was cooked in the pan at this point. So the question on where to steer a conversation was like the Titanic for him.

BLOODY REBELLION
Ichijou laid beside Takehiko as she watched him speak through the phone. He had given her another reply. This time, one concerning the war. Ichijou tilted her head, as she pondered the thought. The war? Ichijou was usually so self-centered, that at times, her mind pretty much never registered the thought of worrying about what was going on on the outside. That was not to say that she did not fear the thought of her life being turned upside down, but thanks to people like Kokuto and Calypso, she was certain everything would be alright in the end. That said, Ichijou didn't particularly know how to react to the war, except that in some ways, she wouldn't mind the good guys winning so the earth could remain the way it is and people wouldn't get hurt too much. It was only one particular way of showing that even with her narcissism, she still cared for others.
"Well, I'm not particularly happy about the war going on, people are in danger of being hurt or hurt already. Sometimes, war is never the answer but it happens, ya know'? I guess it's one of those natural things that are meant to happen even beyond this one? Seems like there are never too many enemies waiting to attack. "
As she saw the next reply on his phone, she chuckled and replied. "Well, I'm still able to manage shopping well enough, but it can be annoying having to run away from a demon ready to attack you... anyway...I have a curious question if you don't mind me askin'... " She turned to gaze at him directly as she poked at his neck. "How'd ya get this way anyway? Were you involved in the war? "
