ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Ulv's boots vibrated as his energy ripped and scratched at it. The power from Ulv and Hvit putting their hands together and compressing it as hard as it could possibly be made them excellent defences, as much shield as sword. So she managed to protect the skin around her legs, but the rest of her was scrapped raw by it. Nothing major, her enzymes and reiatsu managed to protect her from the worst of it, but it was an angry red, like tripping on concrete. If she was going to have to deal with that every time he was in range, she'd need to release her everything for the protection it gave.
Moonie then, while getting blasted with her martial-enhanced Fangs and a supercharged Cero, reached out to grab Ulv and drag her with him. Not having anything immediately planned, she used her Soul's Wind, and the simple act of reaching for her displaced enough wind to blow her away, as if she had no weight at all. Still, the whole thing was disrupted when a guy dropped down into the underground. A guy Ulv was well acquainted with.
"Hayden?" Ulv was caught a little off guard at his sudden appearance right after Ulv had been talking to Moonie about him. It had been a long time since she had seen him fight. Not since Ghislain clashed against him. But with Moonie's emotions and quite honestly Hayden's as well, Ulv was not confident that she could hold this to a not-a-deathmatch kind of fight. Definitely couldn't if she got caught up in that fight and didn't have her head about her. So, while Moonie got super-hyped about the even stronger opponent coming down for him, Ulv turned everything off.
Her boots disappeared, her Will receded back into her, and her reiatsu output dampened down as she darted off to a nearby rocky outcrop to watch the two fight. Watching was never as good as doing, but this fight was not a fight that she wanted to be in, if only for the lack of person to stop them were it to get out of control. She was a creature of passion and loved to fight,so there was not a great chance she'd be able to keep herself out forever, but leaping in right now would not be smart.

KING OF VASTIME
Play that posting music.
It appeared his presence has caused another challenger to simply remove themselves from the first, to his dismay. But that was their choice to make effectively turning this into a duel between the moon iramasha and the iron king. But that was unimportant as of now, as Moonie began to gather their energy for the attack it would be important to note how Hayden was. His form was reminiscent of a brawler, muscles coiled tight onto a large frame each holding the power to create devastation with a single release of that coil tension. Emerald eyes peering at the moon god Moonie with nothing but a thin veil of patience, as if the sensory assault was but how a trained soldier tuned out the cries of his victims. Morbid imagery, but such was the mentality of the man.
This battle would be a very good tester of his current strength levels, without even drawing his Zanpakatou he would endeavor to show these two the epitome of fighter who excelled in understanding their body. His hands had not tighten into hard fists yet, instead remained bent as his fingers began to flex as he could see the gathering of energy coming for him. The world quaking from the sheer magnitude of what Moonie was outputting, but it had not reached Hayden yet. But as it neared a very hard shift was felt in the dynamic of Hayden, to say his movements blurred would be an understatement. For the truth of the matter was for most in the world, he was simply in his stance- and within the next microsecond he had taken an entire step forward as his hands had been brought together in a slapping motion.
The effect would be cataclysm.
The sound which seemed to emit from his two hands slapping together from his sheer strength and speed was enough to hurt the ears of most, flames engulfing his hands from the sheer friction which was exerted. But the truth devastion came from the way the world seemed to absolutely break apart as the force radiated outwards causing the floor to most likely crater if it was anything like earth outside. Otherwise a very vivid shaking would be felt. As the force of the clap seemed to radiate forward meeting the raw wave of energy in the middle, the two opposing types of energies seemingly beginning to violently react with one another as the raw kinetic force sought to overpower the beam.
That was however, unimportant.
Instead Hayden himself had disappeared from where he once was, taking the time to simply take the shortest most direct route to Moonie. As the two opposing energies clash and seemed to die down, there would be no reprieve as the shadow of a man seemed to burst from the smoke and debris which had been kicked up. A bronze hand outstretched as it sought to crash into the face of the iramasha with a strength and force which was enough to render stone into mere dust, ideally planning for the surprise factor of him appearing so quickly during the fading of the beam and what not to gain an element of surprise.
Provided he was able to crash into Moonie with his hand outstretched, he'd find Hayden would allow their momentum to carry them. His free hand clawing into the ground, with his hand ideally holding onto the face of Moonie would repeatedly smash into the ground. The vice like grip unwavering as they where carried about, each smash feeling akin to a mountain being pushed down upon the man.
However, provided he wasn't able to grip his face he'd settle to turn his body with surprising agility mid flight. In a way which most would think a man of his stature would not be able to perform, his body would turn with his left leg coming from behind with the intent to catch Moonie leg. It was a targeted move, clearly intent on disabling such an extremity through pain or damage. If this method of a quick reaction attack was landed or thwarted Hayden would simply land some distance away on all fours.
This was the way Hayden fought, through sheer brutality and aggression. This was not the refined style which was seen many times in his sparring. This was the level of fighting which only a man as versed in the art of breaking people was accustomed to.
It was terrifying.

The Moon Iramasha's eyes were wide, focused on what was happening before him. He could not tear his eyes away; that feeling on the back of his neck forced him to keep his gaze locked. The sound waves from the clap rolled along his body, his hearing well accustomed to such ridiculous outputs of raw sound. They would be able to take it; but even so, it made Moonie's blood pump harder.
He's coming. The sensation running through his body was less conscious thought, more a primal impression. The head. The face. Moonie's eyes locked directly onto Hayden's, unmoving. Perhaps the most telling thing were the Moon Man's eyes; despite Hayden's speed, there was not a hint of confusion. In fact, the expression he gave was one that was wholly prepared for what would happen next.
Crunch. Hayden could feel his fingers digging into the Moon Iramasha's skin, the ultimate result of which was that blazing energy warping and surging along the Vizard's fingers. His hand was being assaulted upon, Moonie's energy trying to rip and tear away. Perhaps he had not noticed what happened to Ulv. What Moonie thought was much more likely, however, and much more terrifying, was that the man did not care.
What made that noise, though? Was it Moonie's face, or was it the side of Hayden's hand that his head had shifted into, his body moving down as he tried to grip as hard as he could onto the man's arm. Perhaps much more unusual than this, however, was that once again, the forces felt… off. With his charge completed, trying to perform that first smash, Moonie's arms were pulling his down even further than he intended, the waves of Blast that covered the Moon Iramasha's body burning against his upper body.
How much had that maw consumed? How many different kinds of metals, buildings, stone, minerals, soil, and pure stone had been crushed beneath his molars? It seemed likely that Hayden would find out as Moonie's teeth bit into him as hard as he could. One of his teeth was smashed out of his mouth from the initial blow if successful, his teeth digging in and attempting to cripple his opponent's hand. It seemed unlikely in such a circumstance that Hayden would continue with his relentless pounding if Moonie's molars were crushing the bones of his hand with all of his strength, and his arm was being torn away at.
If there was no such action, though, Moonie's entire body would eventually switch on the third smash, his blood screaming in his ears. Everything was registering as taking damage; his entire body was being rocked into the ground, though the focal point was primarily upon his head. Nasty purple bruises covered the length of his face, and black blood was most likely covering Hayden's upper arm from Moonie's busted mouth. Upon that third toss, though, Moonie's body would stop.
Light as a feather, he would try to leverage his grapple, his body flipping completely around Hayden's. "RAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" He roared through his busted mouth, legs splaying behind his body. Whether or not he still had Hayden in his grasp would have little impact on Moonie's next course of action; it would simply determine how close he was to the blast radius of the incoming attack.
|
Declaring Moon God's Cross was considerably more difficult with his mouth clamped like this. Much more devastating, and much more up close; Moonie's legs were wreathed with that same black flame as he had launched from his mouth, and now Hayden would find himself in a much more close-up version of that attack that Moonie utilized from before, coming at him in the form of crossed-waves of pure Blast energy. With that, Moonie would try as hard as he possibly could to break free of the grasp, his entire body swiveling and turning. If Hayden was still holding him and did not move, it was possible the two would be completely caught within the explosion of Blast, covering their bodies in the ripping and tearing force of the energy Moonie employed.
Under the assumption that Hayden let go, however, he would find out exactly what his opponent having mobility would mean. Moonie's body would spin in midair, a splat of his black blood slashing across the ground as his legs crossed back along one another, shooting directly to the man's right side… the side where he definitely still had a good arm. It seemed to Moonie that would be the direction he would try to dodge the first attack from. Focusing on keeping that part of his body out of the way would probably be the smart thing… and if such an instinct were followed, it was possible that the King-Militant would find himself under threat from yet another of those sizeable attacks.
Moonie's entire body was shaking, quivering. Attack! Attack!
|
Fluid motions accompanied his final assault as his near weightless body spun and spun… The Blast that surrounded him flooding outward as it turned into a miniature tornado of light and sound. Moonie would then release the attack outward, his body falling onto the ground on all fours.
|
That last attack was another culmination of Blast energy, but it had another unique trait to it; a layer of Gravity that was constantly flowing around it, pulling in what it could nearby. It was not extraordinarily powerful, but if one were off their guard it may make escaping that incoming attack a bit more difficult. That last attack was roughly the size of twice of the one that Moonie had thrown at Hayden at the beginning of their bout with the amount of energy it utilized; if he was able to dispel this one with a clap… Nothing to do but wait and see.
His own hair was still whipping from the forces he had released within that hurricane. His body was beaten and battered, with any luck having control over his own faculties once more. He doubted that he would be able to deal with getting grabbed again; the surprise factor of what he had tried to achieve in that moment was spent. The first thing that Moonie had noticed about the man was how he had dispelled his energy attack; he had used his hands. So crushing those would be Moonie's first priority. From there it was a matter of how much durability the man had around the rest of his body. That much strength takes leverage. Even as little as I weighed, look what he could do…
The Moon Iramasha's body was battered, rips and tears having appeared in his tunic. He was… completely ignoring Ulv at this point. Having your head repeatedly beat into a surface that did not break beneath it was incredibly painful. His jaw hurt the most, his purplish-black blood still flowing from his busted up face. His chest was heaving; he had completely screwed up the name of the Moon God's Swirl. His face was going to take some time before his blood would stop flowing from it; for now, the best he could do was clench his lip, hands digging into the ground. It was pretty obvious he was trying to distract himself from the pain of it. For now, it was simply something he would have to deal with… that, and the terrifying man in front of him.

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
Fascinating. While it was definitely not something to get in the middle of since these two guys were really going for the kill - or close enough to really make no difference - Ulv watched the two with some vigor. Moonie's furious clashing against Hayden, who was surprising in his Hakuda. Raw and powerful but without equivalent scale in the way of direction or skill. Though the effectiveness of such a style was interesting to think about. There were clear advantages to savagely mauling your enemy, and Moonie was a great target to be savagely mauled. The two of them were perfect for each other, which was why Ulv was staying out of it, because she was decidedly not perfect for either of them.
Still, Ulv watched, her body primed and ready in case they decided to come over here. She had sharp eyesight, so they were a fair distance away, but distance enough only to give Ulv's reaction speed a warning to move, with the way Hayden could shift or throw something. All she was doing was refereeing to ensure that death didn't happen on either side, and storing away how they fought and lessons to be learned from it for later.

KING OF VASTIME
Play that posting music.
This was what it meant to be at the pinnacle of warrior prowess, to be a god among men who had eagerly fallen into stagnation. As if they did not have a monster sitting upon their throne waiting for the chance to rise from it to show the world once more how far he had come. It was not so simply as to simply be a living force of nature, one who was undeniable in mind, body, and soul. In order to truly show the gap in power between himself and most of those who claimed to walk among the elite, he needed to show the lengths of which he would go. It was not so simple as to be strong, it was in the will required to enact that strength in it's most gloriously beautiful fashion.
It was his solemn duty to lead the charge, that he would always be at the fore front of battle with his fist raised and the banner of vastime blowing. But those where not the battles which decided the fate of the world, it was in these battles which no one bore witness to. It was in the hush whispers of old footage of a soldier turned into something more than man, but less than human. And to the eternal credit of Moonie had accepted such brutality head on, for it was true: Hayden did not care.
He had not cared as he felt energy assaulting his fingers, the edges of the skin becoming rendered and charred almost to the bone. The nails on his hand scrapping against the roof o his mouth, ripping them from his hand. Even as the maw of Moonie sought to crunch down piercing skin and flesh as middle and ring finger where trapped. But that did not stop the relentless assault of Desmond, of which Moonie now bore the scars too. His hand was currently suffering from extraordinary damage, almost all the flesh from his middle and ring finger either having been eaten or burned away by energy.
But he did not release him, even as he tried to leverage the position. Even as Hayden leveraged his own tremendous power to force the head and body of Moonie to the ground, crashing the back of their head unto the pavement once more. The tremedious power which was currently building in Moonie's mouth was no doubt a concern for most, but Hayden did not lose his head nor faith. For such savagery would only result in Hayden going unto further lengths. For as the energy gathered Hayden did something which was unexpected.
With his fingers locked in the maw of Moonie, and Moonie focused on isolating that arm Hayden's good arm would be free to act. And act it did, as the Moon God would find two things occuring to him. A solid fist had formed and was sent in an uppercut towards Moonie Jaw with enough to crack mountains, a fully powered strike when caused even Hayden's knuckles to become red and slightly cracked from the mere force. But the reason he had done this would become clear.
Ideally, the force would create enough force for Moonie's jaw to close completely around the two fingers of Hayden. He had purposefully severed his two fingers lodging them in the throat of Moonie for the time being, but in doing so had landed a momentous upper cut. There would be little reason as for why his head wouldn't shoot upwards, ideally throwing the beam off course. As the blast came from his mouth, it would most likely allow for some time for Moonie throat to become exposed if Hayden uppercut would cause his head to shoot up. In that moment he'd launch his barrage.
To put into perspective the position, Moonie would be on his back ideally from Hayden never having let go. Hayden would be on top of Moonie in the dominant full mount position. The energy blast which shot from Moonie mouth would ideally be flying wild away from Hayden due to the upper cut to his jaw. Hayden would be missing two fingers on his right hand which where either vaporized by the blast or in Moonie throat.
- Ref:
If he was bothered by the loss of two fingers, in the pursuit of this advantage, he did not show it. For he was far too concerned with landing colossal strike after upon the Moon God. However, the black and crimson blood of Hayden did not seem to paint Moonie face despite the clear removal of his fingers earlier.

Moonie's prodigious jaws crushed the finger that entered into it, his entire body being lifted unceremoniously up into the air.
Can't stop. Must fight. Can't stop. Must fight. Can't stop. Can't stop.
To struggle. To roar. To steel one's self. To loosen when it was required. And more than anything else..
To LIVE!
The beast in front of Hayden was could not rip his eyes away from the man. He looked straight into his eyes as he was beaten and bruised, making him watch as the skin of Hayden's finger coated the Iramasha's teeth… mixing into his own black blood. Streams of black covered the base of his chin. He was a fighter who would not yield. Who could not yield. To flee from this, to surrender to it… That would be the same as death. Even a beast like the one before the Iron Core of Vastime understood this most fundamental principle of honor. For if he were attacked, then there were truly only two options: even a wounded beast knew this. It was a code deeply ingrained within his body, and those whose minds were akin to his.
Anything else would be a disgrace. Anything else would be a disservice. Moonie would fail himself, and he would fail the reputation of the man who was using all the force he could muster to force his soul to blaze.
"VRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT!!!"
Moonie's voice tore through the air, his head jerking and shaking furiously. He could not get out of the man's grip; the durability of his body prevented him from being able to rip enough chunks off to even escape. !!!!!!!! Stars shot through Moonie's vision as Hayden's fingers dug into his skull….
Moonie realized there was only one thing he could do. Only one thing that could keep that blast from being wasted as his head was jerked to the side…
GET OFF OF ME!!
It was more of an emotion than conscious thought.
But he had to do it.
Crunch.
The taste of flesh was filling his mouth again. He hated that taste. Rocks, trees. Sea water… the sand of the desert. The stones which constructed cities; glass and mortar. But human flesh… That crossed a line.
…! Moonie could not believe what he was seeing. The man was letting him have his fingers. That was… Not good. Not good. Not- Moonie's entire jaw jerked back as he was struck squarely in the chin, his entire body rocketing back as the raw force carried him in that direction, his body parallel to the ground.
Hayden was above him, his body about to mount him. Moonie's head was screaming, the blast that had been held in his mouth releasing, having left another massive burn mark in the side of the building they were fighting in, but missing Hayden.
And in that moment, where Moonie's body had been freed from him… He would see directly into the Moon Iramasha's eyes. Were they shocked? Were they afraid? Did he know what was about to happen…?
Clench.
Moonie's arms slammed onto the sides of Hayden's shoulders, or tried their best to. He could feel a pulling force as the Moon Iramasha performed the only kind of counter he could possibly imagine in such a situation. The counter that would allow for him to flow into his opponent, his eyes looking directly at Hayden. The first titantic blow landed firmly on the Moon Iramasha's chest, knocking his head into the ground…
And then the most peculiar sensation grew around Hayden's head.
A deep purple filled his vision, the man he had just battered into the ground, with his blood-soaked mouth and brutalized chin, meeting his eyes directly once again. A gigantic purple bruise blossomed around the Moon Iramasha's chest, further diversifying the colors on the top of his body.
Moonie's head was… rising. His body light as a feather in that moment of impact, forcing him back up into Hayden's personal space, the grip on the man's shoulders drawing him closer to him. Blow after blow rained on the top of Moonie's shoulders, trying and trying to beat him back. But if he gained that grip on the man's shoulders, he would not give up. How many fingers had the man lost now? How focused was he on Moonie's destruction? How would he take the challenge of Moonie's hands going for his shoulders? It would make certain that he was going to have to take the blows that he was delivering, even if it made reaching certain spots much more awkward.
And then there was the challenge itself.
That head, moving up toward him. Despite the position they were in.
In spite of Desmond Hayden.
His power.
And his will.
Another wave of raw power shook the ground beneath them, a surge of spiritual energy growing far beyond what Moonie had shown before. His grip growing more and more intense on the man's shoulders… and his head drawing closer, and closer.
Crush.
The ground beneath them cracked, Moonie's strength coming to bear in his Strike. He did not call its name; he simply had to bring it forth, letting the second limiter on his abilities burn away with the fires around his body burned as they grew multitudes more intense.
|
The Moon Iramasha's foot crushed the ground beneath him, forcing his body up along with Hayden's, delivering the Moon Iramasha's signature headbutt into the man. The Gravity chain that was uniting their skulls would finally cause them to come crashing into one another, Moonie's mouth wide as he roared with total and utter abandon.
His head smashed into Hayden's, but it was not going to send him flying. If he were hit, the force of Gravity would keep him held right there, forehead planted against the Moon Iramasha's. Beads of blood shot from Moonie's legs from the amount of strength he was using, trying to physically lift the man with his forehead. If he were successful, Hayden's entire body would be lifted vertically… and then he would be departed from the Moon Iramasha's skull.
If Moonie were able to hold him for that long, only then would the legendary waves of force of the Moon Destroyer come into play. If things went as intended, Moonie would be up on at least one leg, watching as his opponent's body was dragged down with the full force of the Moon Iramasha's most devastating physical attack.
The waves and waves of force delivered by that headbutt dragged most down harder and harder as the dramatically increased gravity took its toll, accelerating their bodies far more than normal. Ordinarily, those struck by the Moon Destroyer were plummeted into the earth, creating terrific craters within its crust,
Hayden would have no such luck, were he struck with the entirety of the attack.
This place that Ulv had created would cause the force to have nothing to cushion it, most likely shattering bones and rending flesh. It was possible the upper half of his body would be turned into some kind of paste; though Moonie doubted he would deal that much damage. In either case, the Moon Iramasha's body shook, crossing his arms around him as he assumed a dramatically more defensive stance than before.
His eyes were wide, staring at the man. His arms and legs were screaming at him, even having used the strength of his Strike. He had given a lot to make that attack work; Hayden would likely be hard-pressed to avoid the entirety of it. Even if Moonie's skull only made momentary contact, that would in all likelihood be enough to send his opponent flying, especially from how durable the ground was.
Blood and bruises covered the top of the Iramasha's body. The bottom of his jaw was oozing onto his crossed arms, beads of black fluid covering his torso from his upper shoulders and ears.
"….Voi…"

ULV AUBER | THE BURNING HEART
God damn regenerators. They always fought with no sense of worth to their own body. And it had none. When you could just pop any damage back up without an issue, you no longer had to worry about anything. Between Hayden's renegeration and Moonie's Atypical bodily function, Ulv had very little to go off other than "Hit them, really hard". Most martial art styles focused around hardpoints and damage application, but that didn't matter to Hayden who could just recover instantly from it, or Moonie who had no hardpoints to damage in the first place. At least, no gut, from the way he ate her drink and then her house.
"Ate my house. What kind of guy does that?" Ulv asked rhetorically as she watched. Fight was escalating, and she needed to reevaluate the durability of the box. Breaking through the first layer was not so hard because it was just steel-reinforced concrete, but the gleaming golden metal below that was also cracked and weeping a viscous silver liquid that was crawling through the cracks and for some reason, squirming towards Moonie like he was going to read them a bedtime story. Breaking Auracalcum by itself was a feat, but reinforced by Ulv's power was a damned marvel. Not, that Moonie bought such power easily, it seemed. His mighty body was broken, and his form symbolic of that.
'You ready to go if Hayden's a bit to battle-brain to stop?' Ulv asked, to which she got a scoff that made her feel stupid for asking the question in the first place.
