Ground-based Moons Confuse Howling Wolves
Tue Jun 11, 2019 9:47 am
One bare shoulder thrust forward, followed by one covered in a pauldron. A golden mane of hair swayed from side to side behind those broad shoulders, reaching halfway down the man's back, down to the kilt-esque pants he wore. Each step caused for them to bounce about, until at last he came to a stop.
"...Vooooi..." The single word left his mouth, his head glancing to one side, and then to the other. He did not like it here. Not at all. His red-ringed eyes shut themselves for a moment, trying to calm his beating heart. He hated enclosed spaces. This street, with its buildings... it made him anxious. He felt blocked in. He felt suffocated. He felt--
No. No. He shook his head again, blinking at the peculiar sensation pouring through his body. His instincts were going crazy, feeling something from around him trying to seep into his body.
"Caaa... screw this. " His shoulders tensed, his head tilting upward, face turning into a grimace. People around him had clearly heard what he had said, and were steering clear. Some had been staring at him since long before; he had not cared in the slightest. "Sorry, boss!"
A wave of pure power shook through his body. The ground gently quaked, the surface shattering beneath his sandals. He visibly relaxed as the signature of his power emanated throughout Minatumi Harbor. Animals flew off, children looked about without knowing why, and adults felt something actively competing against the influence imbued within the city itself.
"VOOOOOOOOOI!" The Moon Iramasha's voice bellowed, releasing all of his anxiety in a primal roar. He had been told he could find Ulv here..
But the fact that he was so close to a Harbor was stressing him out.

ULV AND HVIT | UNION OF THE WOLF
Sitting up, Ulv looked out to the city, and smelled a Voi. He was a stressed Voi, and anxious Voi. A Voi that didn't seem to like buildings. Which made sense, considering the lack of cities on the Moon. Still, she could feel the build up in his heart, and so Ulv stood and deployed the Resolute Architecture. The stones in the building shone with amber light, and all across the city, people retreated to their homes as they began to glow. So, when he released his force, it simply bashed off the walls without much of an impact. Her tricks here made every building a most excellent bomb shelter.
And then, Ulv appeared next to Moonie, a breath of wind and shining boots clad around her legs. Depending on what he wanted, she had an idea for what she could do with him.
"Hey Mjesc. Open your heart to the flame and let it sooth your worries and anxiety. And then tell me, why did you come down to my Harbour if you are so against being anywhere with buildings? Surely calling me on the phone and asking me to come somewhere more comfortable is better, no?" Ulv asked, a warm smile on her face, as if to remove his doubts and fears.

"…Voi?"
The blonde haired male blinked, his knees bending as he looked down at the ground. One of his hands pressed into it, fingers straining as he crushed against the ground. "…Voooooi…" It seemed that… something had caused for it to harden. The skin on the back of his neck prickled, body straightening up as his eyes followed Ulv's approach. Maybe she would notice the way his eyes moved; much faster than his body could, tracing her each and every step of the way.
"Ca, hahahahaha…" The man laughed, his head shaking from one side to the other. The truth of the matter was… Moonie did not understand a lick of what she was talking about. Except for that flame part. "Yeah, voi. It feels good." He told her with a confident smile, his arms pressing against his hips. He was not quite opening his heart to that flame… But he certainly wasn't fighting it. Just like the lust of battle, he was letting it wash over his body, taking from it what he could… but keeping his head above it. "VOI! You know why." He told her, his right hand extending in front of him.
His right foot pressed forward against the ground, and his left hand moved closer down to his hips. "…I was looking for you. Voooooooi… I need to crash against someone with that fire inside of them. Though it won't be as much fun without the buildings toppling, one after another… Voi. First time I've had to fight just to crack some stones!" He told explained to the auburn-haired woman, his heart beginning to beat.
…But then he paused, looking at the ground for a moment… almost in… embarrassment. "…Voi. Boss James tried showing me one… but it was boring. It got evaporated the first time I tried fighting with it." He explained, his head moving to the side. Her smile had not done much to remove his doubts… they seemed to have been replaced with bad memories. "Cah… And he got so mad, and said I wasn't getting another one… Aaah, nah. I don't use any kinda phone. Wouldn't be as much fun if you knew I was coming, either… would it?" He asked her with that same grin, his entire body quivering in anticipation. He could see her face, the way her body was built.
God, he really wanted to punch her as hard as he could.

ULV AND HVIT | UNION OF THE WOLF
Ulv smiled as Moonie's claustrophobia was dampened down, and the warm feelings of passion brought in it's place. It was good to feel. Of course, Moonie was here for a fight and that was awkward because Ulv was not an actually using her nuclear deterrent kind of person. Still, neither was she a refusing her friends their requests, so she'd use this time to hit up the books about something she needed to get some practice in.
"Ahh, I'll get you a Vooi Phone. Auricalcum reinforced with my reiatsu. If that breaks, you've got bigger problems than a broken phone. Mostly, your imminent death. Auricalcum doesn't break easy, and nor does my Reiatsu, as you can tell!" she bashed her knuckles against the wall besides her, force enough to punch through a mountainside, and it barely scuffed the side.
"If you really want a fight where you let loose everything, we can go to my Boom Room. I got inspired by Vastime's training ground, that was hella durable. And made my own. We....we aren't going to break through that. Just, flat out no. Hayden and Ibiki together would struggle breaking that one" She gestured with her head to follow her, but also kept her senses on high, just in case he decided that he wanted to have his dinner now.

Moonie's Knuckles Awaken
Moonie eyed the woman directly in front of him… the fingers on his right hand gripping into a fist. The left hand widened and turned, awaiting as his entire upper body tensed, and then…
SMACK!
CRRRR-NK!
Moonie's right pointer finger snapped hard against his left hand, before drawing back, and again he…
SMACK!
CRINK, CRINK!!
This time, it was his pointer and ring fingers. Moonie let his hand roll around in his grasp, and then… CRUUUNK!
He let out a slow breath, his fingers extending away from one another and beginning to stretch out. Voi. Much better. He thought, looking at the walls around himself and then back at the woman in front of him. "…Voi? A what?" He looked thoroughly confused at the idea of a 'voi phone'. Like he just did not understand what she meant to begin with. Though, what she said about this place… it really got Moonie's attention. Perhaps in an unhealthy way. "Ca, ha, ha. Guess we'll just have to see." He told her with a positively sadistic grin on his face, another wave of killing intent rolling outward from his body.
"…I know that guy." Moonie said, his eyes moving up to the top of his head as he tilted it. "Cah. He was pretty weak when I met him. That was… lotsa moons ago, though. Hope he got a lot stronger!" He laughed, not bothering to question Ibiki. She was one of those ones he would have loved to have gone to battle with… But alas, he had never managed to locate her on Earth. Voi. I don't like fighting in that Soul-place. Too many people around or none at all. Sucks over there. All crowded. His head shook slightly at the thoughts, eagerly smiling and flat-out jogging after the woman as she gestured that she should follow him.
"Guess we'll see. Hey, do you think it's stronger, or your body?" He asked her as he followed along, thoroughly interested to see what kind of place it was she had made…

ULV AND HVIT | UNION OF THE WOLF
"Ohh, he's gotten a lot stronger than before. You'd lose. Like, no question. You'd lose" Ulv told Moonie, talking about Hayden. She'd never seen him fight, but she had felt what Ravan was capable of, and Hayden browbeat that guy into submission without doing anything. And then killed him in Karakura. Then a creepy question, but it wasn't something that Ulv really bothered about. She just took him to a strangely empty patch of the city and smiled to him.
"Definitely it. They have an advantage of starting as a really durable thing, and I have never gone the route of really hard body. It's why a lot of my forms are suits of armour" she flashed her fists to him as she spoke. "I need more shock dampening than I can naturally produce when I am punching with my all"
She would then turn, and strange clamps locked around her feet, the whirring of machinery going on below them.
"Not entirely sure of this physics on this, but I was told these clamps are important. Lift drops at 14 meters a second, so it actually drops out from under your feet if you aren't locked down" Ulv told him. And then when he had clipped in, gave him a grin.
"Not sure if your organless existance still gets stuff like your stomach dropping but...it does that" Ulv told him, before the lift dropped at the incredible speeds, blazing downwards. Nothing but rock and earth around them for a few seconds before it exited into a massive underground room. So wide and open it was easy to forget there was a roof above your head and walls off in the distance.
"Welcome to my Boom Room! Have no fear, not even my Ragnorak, or Kaizer Fist can break these walls!" Ulv exclaimed in a grandiose manner. The lift slowed down gently so as not to rough anyone up or put them on crippling G-Forces. Once hitting the ground floor, Ulv unhooked herself and hoped some distance from him.
"I shall let you determine how high the starting line is. Only fair~" Ulv told him, her Fangs dissolving to return her to base form.

Moonie's Knuckles Awaken
"Vooooi?" Moonie tilted his head at that response, as if in confusion. He did not often hear about individuals that did not excite him becoming stronger than he was. He wondered what kind of metamorphosis the man must have gone through. Definitely'll have to make him back up her claims if I see him again. He thought to himself a sadistic grin, following her to an empty patch of the city.
The grin had left his face now as he considered the implications of such durable buildings. I can't just smash through them to pursue blows. But... that also means that I won't have to waste time with pursuits. The rate of his breathing had increased significantly from these thoughts, and his grin began to grow once more. He had just figured out how to remove the most tedious part of his favorite activity. Like instantly being able to change clothes to play tennis.
"Voi." Moonie raised up one of his own hands, considering what she said about shock absorption. ...So I have to hold back on you but not the buildings? This place is weird. Even so, Moonie was not certain he would be able to hold back. Especially if she hit as hard as she said she did.
The peculiar things wrapped around Moonie's feet, who was... significantly uncomfortable with them. The ride, on the other hand.
"CA HA HA HA HA HA HA! WAAAAAH-HOOO!"
His joyous expressions and shouting filled the tunnel as his hair whipped all the way back, his arms splayed behind him as he just enjoyed the hell out of the ride.
But... perhaps that was the best. Where they arrived next was... not particularly to Moonie's liking. If it had been just a bit smaller, it was likely he would have begun to freak out. Especially after being told how hard it was to break. That just ramped his claustrophobia up even further.
Moonie's excitement from the ride and that irritating anxiety clashed back and forth as he dismounted the lift. His eyes were closed while he looked at Ulv, bringing his arms into a stance.
"Voi. That's not a good way of doing it." Moonie told her, his eyes slowly opening as the expression on his face changed. "Once I start, Ulv... Until one of us begs for mercy or lays unconscious on the floor... we're just warriors, celebrating the Way of the Fist. I don't want to talk anymore. I want to see if you'll push me back, or run away. I don't want to think about starting or stopping. I just need you to understand that,"
All around Moonie's body, it was possible to make out the outlines of some kind of... pressure. It was as if he were changing, his facial features growing more and more intense. His eyes were as wide as they could be, every muscle in his body tensed.
And then the bloodlust exploded from him.
Its presence filled the otherwise empty Boom Room, waves of aggression compounding and rolling along with the sound of a low growl. The entirety of Moonie's focus expanded as the air grew thick with his need for destruction and mayhem.
Hate it hate it hate it hate it hate it...
The typical lightness he gave off had been completely replaced by a darker edge, Moonie's anxiety visibly affecting the smile on his face as it struggled to avoid becoming a grimace. "ULV AUBER!"
Moonie's explosive vocal strength echoed her name back and forth through the empty space, Moonie's body glowing with purple energy as his feet pushed off of the ground, the structure creaking as a blast wave of pure force shot behind him. The weight of his body was vastly increased by the aura he wore, his Gravity bursting as he continued to increase momentum, despite the amount of weight he was forcing his body to handle. As it became too much.
|
Now feet away from Ulv, his body erupted into black flames. These were Moonie's Blast; contact with them would tear and rip and flesh and defenses with an incredible amount of friction.
With one last press against the ground, his muscles straining as his weight increased even further, he checked for movement from the woman in front of him. If she stayed where she was, no problem. If not, his muscles would strain significantly as he performed a pivot, roaring from the difficulty of the action to point back at her again...
FWOOOOOOOOOH!
Moonie's weight dropped significantly, becoming a fraction of what it was before. Like being shot from a cannon, the momentum carried its roaring owner toward his target. His flames burned, blonde hair wildly flying behind him as he crashed forward into where the woman was standing.

ULV AND HVIT | UNION OF THE WOLF
"Maybe not a good way of doing it, but I got a lot of power behind these fists, as I told you. And it only gets stronger as I fight. The maximum passive boost is over twice the strength I have naturally. But if you wish" Ulv told Moonie, before slipping her Noble White Fangs back on. She liked the power that she got from these, and it was really easy to work with her Zanpaktou as well, if she needed more. Moonie's howl and bloodlust certainly got Ulv's blood pumping, and she couldn't help but get into the mood he had set.
"Mjesc Vorgoklaydid!" Ok, maybe not the best pronunciation of that, but there were limited to her ability, and it was insane. Releasing her own heart, the bloodlust would be met with passion unbridled. a solar blaze which roared with power and heat and fury and desire. With every step, Moonie was getting heavier, Ulv could see it in the way he walked and the way he effected the ground that he stepped on. If this carried on, there would be an incredible impetus when he finally reached her, so the plan was to hijack that and put it to work doing what she wanted.
Ulv was no genius in most thinking areas, but when it came down to combat, she had it pretty down. A nice mix of tactics, strategy, and violently mauling the enemy. She didn't move, didn't act as his flames erupted and his weight increased, waiting for the last second. And with her speed, reflexes and muscle memory, that was later than most would expect. It was very close, and as Ulv suddenly moved liked liquid into her own position, the displaced wind coming ahead of Moonie's fist brushed her hair like a tender, loving caress.
Leaning almost perpendicular to give the best angle to soak all the force she could out of the ground, Ulv threw the booted kick to Moonie, a kick that sacrificed force for speed, but would makeup that force by taking Moonie's own incredible momentum and blasting it back, adding in the Impact Cero that came from striking people with her Noble White Fangs, it would certainly be an opening move. But, Moonie was strong, he could (probably) take it. And as she struck, she let out a powerful bellow of her own.

- Spoiler:
Noble White Fangs: After this new Evolucion, there was born a new power in Hvit. Not quite the Ressurection that most Evolucion Hollows can made, but a mini-form of the same vein, a sort of, "Super Hollow Mask" to straddle the gap between mask and Ressurecion.
These boots are immensely concentrated hollow energy, and act as their name suggests, being an incredible augment to Ulv's power. So compressed is the hollow reiatsu that it is barely contained, and explosively releases with every impact, a trick Ulv calls her "Impact Cero". The boots meld and flux with her Shikai and Bankai forms, giving any form the boots of her base, but alloying with a release state contains the energy sufficiently to negate the Impact Cero abilities. Ulv can also kick normal Cero and Bala out of these boots, at enhanced potency from normal.
Of course, this is still a Hollow Mask, and the burn of power is considerable. Ulv can keep this Super Form on for 10 posts - 12 at 0-3+ - with each post counting three towards the standard mask limit, in case she wishes to chop and change.

KING OF VASTIME
Play that posting music.
These two would find that their deadly dance would be interrupted by a third party one which had found themselves thrust into this engagement. Perhaps the reason why the king of Vastime sought to address the disturbances of ocean, or his general meeting with Ulv, had been lost at this point. Yet, he had a decent enough knowledge of Ulv's city to know that the woman would hold some type of area so that she could battle to her hearts content. He just didn't know that he'd be stepping into the lions den of two titans seemed to just began duking it out.
It would be rude to insert himself, but between these two he doubt he would get much of the chance to actually refuse. That sole reason would be the reason a clapping noise began to emit through the room as none other than the king himself walked into it. A tremedious burst of reiatsu would be felt as he released his unrestrained power to at the very least interrupt these two in their battle lust. No doubt the feeling of someone of his caliber would lead to them at the very least inquiring.
"You got room for one more?"
He'd remark with an implish smile, the corner of his lips curling into something predatory. In this secluded space rarely would the world get a glimpse into the man who ruled a large chunk of the none world. The look into those emerald eyes revealed something which was hidden away from the light of day, relegated to a secondary nature which clawed at his mind. It was the same look Moonie may have saw many moons ago, the look that Ulv Auber had only heard of in the rarest retelling of his feats.
As if to drive this point home, his callous hand would raise to his face as a swirling of negative energy became to form on his face. The intense pervading feeling of anger, hot and wild, seemed to infect the energy with the undertones of a chilling death. Two stark elements which seemed to be swirling and coalescence into the single figure of a draconian mask now adorning his features. The last remaining vesture of Desmond Hayden was those vibrant emerald eyes seemingly peering at the two, his fingers beginning to curl into fists, his stance widening as he took on something akin to a brawler than any martial artist.
They would probably have far more techniques to call upon, but one should never underestimate the experience and power which laid in someone like Hayden. Who had focused his efforts into forging his body into a singular tool of destruction, rarely would these two find someone as versed in knowing themselves as well as Hayden was.
"Second thought, I think you do."

"Good."
That single word was the only response Moonie gave to the woman. The way her power wrapped around her body excited him, even as he began to run headlong toward her.
She mispronounced his name, but that was alright by him. Nobody could pronounce it normally. And more than that, there was something Moonie was much more focused on; his body crushing hers into the floor. The entirety of his focus was pointed toward this task, his eyes locked on hers while he approached. It was not incredibly difficult to imagine what she was going to do in response; but the problem was, of course, the manner in which she tried to do it.
Moonie felt her hair against his arm, but she would feel something far worse: a sensation, ripping and tearing away at her defenses from how close she was to the 'flames' that covered his body. She was fast, yes. But this was not the first time Moonie had done battle with someone significantly faster than himself. It was part of why he covered his body in such destructive energy... it made it so that when her foot slammed against his body, just like before, Ulv would feel an unpleasant degree of friction trying to shred her leg into pieces.
It was unlikely they would succeed, but she would certainly learn what it meant to be involved with hand to hand combat against the Moon Iramasha. Moonie's body took the blow, his momentum slamming against Ulv's leg. Whether she could take that much colliding force without her bones shattering… well. Moonie's body roared back, smoke rising through the black fire. His body was half-hunched over… And then, not two feet back, he stopped. Moonie had been planning his counter up to this point; by simply charging ahead, he had been able to focus entirely on what she was doing. And now that he had his target…
Moonie's entire body crushed downward, his hunching form continuing to descend as his weight increased exponentially. He had abandoned everything else but this chance, his body crashing downward as he tried to grab onto Ulv's head. If successful, he was going to plummet her directly down into the ground, his body still moving from the re-delivered force… and then proceed to drag her face against the ground, his weight lightened once again and carrying her along with him.
If he missed, his body would simply be sent flying back. If he connected, he would relesae her after dragging her for a good fifteen feet, his body still hunched over. "Cah… Cahaha…" He chuckled, trying to straighten himself. He could feel that bruise forming on his chest from the impact he had been given. His strange blood was pumping, his hands gripping tightly. That's it. The emotion he felt was stirring his body, forcing him to focus on the pain that was echoing through his chest.
And then…
Moonie blinked, his eyes locking onto the interloper as he spun. That noise he made... sounded like a bark from a dog that had just been surprised. Aggressive, trying to regain control over the situation. He was directly facing the man now, his muscles still tense from receiving Ulv's attack. But the one standing over there was… was… …Dangerous.
Moonie had exceptional instincts. The man standing over there… …Woah. Moonie's entire body shook, as he felt something he had not in years. Trepidation. The waves of power rolling off the man, how casually he stood, the glint in his eyes… All of it made the Moon Iramasha's skin crawl.
That was made even worse by the mask that the man dawned.
|
The roar echoed through the room, far louder than any living creature was normally capable of. Out in Minatumi, birds and other small animals flew away, a peculiar dull crumbling sound echoing for a moment within the city's walls. The flames around his body swelled, his eyes locked on the man whose face was emanating those negative feelings. Moonie's mind barely registered him as a sparring opponent; there was something more than that. There was the fear that he could not simply spar against this man. That he was going to challenge Moonie, that he would be overcome.
Moonie's body expanded, taking in a terrific breath. The bruise on his chest seared in protest, but he worked through the pain, using it to focus himself even further. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, his eyes turning white from the degree of power he was accumulating within. His arms thrust downward, pushing the entirety of his spirit into what was about to emerge…
|
Again, that earth-shattering noise rang out, multiplied far more than it should have been from the fact that Moonie was fighting within an indoor area. Along with the sensory assault, a tremendous ball of Blast emerged from his mouth, the ground ripping and tearing as the sphere-like construction burst forward. It did not spin or anything like that; it was simply a wave of black flame, heading squarely in Hayden's direction. Simply dodging out of the way was perhaps an option, trying to avoid the meat of the attack; but even the edges would still cause tremendous friction against the body of its target, scraping and scarping away.
It was a warning shot. How Moonie felt would be plain to tell from the blast… and the way that the man responded would determine how things were going to go from here.
On some level, Moonie was still aware that Ulv was there. But at the same time, he could not quite bring himself to feel aggressive toward her. She did not have the same kind of presence; perhaps it was something she would learn here. He reaction to Moonie's attack would also be important for him to see. Whether she accepted it, went after him for using it, followed it up when she saw Hayden trying to deal with it…
Moonie was eager to see.
